Maybe it's just math? Your giveaways entered numbers are pretty low considering you've been on the site for 8 years, so that's what, 100 entered a month? Meanwhile I've seen people in the 30k + entered and they haven't even been here a year. Here's hoping your luck will turn around soon!

Ok, I'm going to be 'that guy'.
So it's been a year. At least you did win some things considering the low entry rate you have. Let me guess, only entering wishlist and/or AAA games?
There are people here that win a ton and some that can't win at all. Instead of complaining, be happy you did win.
Sorry, just tired of these topics.

When I look at the lists of the giveaways that you have created or won, I can see that one year ago you were winning at a normal pace... and suddenly you do not win anymore... My impression is that you're not unlucky but simply you're just not really using Steamgifts anymore. So, why this thread ? Is it a kind of joke for you?

So, why this thread ?
People like to complain about poor outcomes from poor odds of high entry counts in public GAs or public-like groups.
I would complain too if I could come up with a solution to limiting entry counts that would be unlikely to screw with most users active on the site.
Comment has been collapsed.
Solution for that is making giveaways restricted to higher lvls

What I meant is that I personally will not complain unless I have a solution to public GA high entries for most everyone on SG. I dont have one that I'm certain would be feasible other than maybe decreasing point accumulation or limits.
By "solution" I meant a suggestion to change how SG fundamentally works.
As a gift creator, yes any number of restrictions can result in decreased entries: Levels, groups, whitelist, invite only, etc

Could also be a option to the gifter be able to limit number of entries

Is sgtools.info rules engine capable of determining that?
Limiting entries alone could favor bots or any auto-entry type mechanisms.
It might be more feasible to change SG (or sgtools.info for that matter) than it would be to try to convince a lot of GA creators on this site to implement more restrictions, as cultural gifting change is slow.

While this could indeed be the case in the OP's... well, case, I experienced a similar occurence. Before my last win, I haven't won anything for over half a year while my previous win rate was roughly one game per month. I've been using SG as frequently as always and the number of blacklists I'm on didn't go up by that much during that time, so it baffled me somewhat to be honest.
Here's hoping that I'm gonna be winning more often again, lol :D

If you don't like odds of public GAs, then I would encourage you to join more Steam groups on SG that have less than a thousand members so that the number of entries will likely be smaller than public GAs.
I have half the number of entries you do in 8 months and I've only won 2 public giveaways, whereas you've won 37 public giveaways with just twice the number of entries I have. So you could be grateful for such a high win rate compared to me.

Click here and tell us whether you've won more or less than you should have.
FYI: I haven't won a single game this year, but statistically I've still won more games than I should have.

Shit happens, life's unfair, and in any giveaway where you are not the only entrant, the odds are not in your favor.

welp, and you just made me realize I have a mistake in my post.
I forgot to consider giveaways with multiple copies, which changes the point at which you lose the favor of the odds.

+1
Give more, get to a higher level, have access to better GAs with fewer entrants. Oh, and the group advice earlier is right on-point. 95% of what I win comes from groups where I've invested the time to participate.

I'd suggest you to enter more giveaways! join some groups either found here or directly on steam and participate in their giveaways so only the group members have a chance to win.. and try not to enter the giveaways that maybe are lvl 0/1 and thus have thousands of entries.. maybe work a little bit more even to reach level 5 so you'll have more choice! good luck =)

The chances of winning good games from public giveaways is always low, you need to enter some groups or somehow end up on a lot of peoples whitelists to win good games. Withing the past year I've won 5 games, and only 1 of them was public.

almost the same to me. Last time I won something here is.. 13th June 2016... over 3 years ago

It's funny to me that so many people are telling you to "enter more giveaways."
I don't see how entering giveaways for games that you don't want would be a good thing. Sure, I guess you might win a couple of games. But is winning a game you don't care anything about actually a good thing?!
Yay, I am lucky, I won a game that I have no interest in!
Almost all of my wins are whitelist or group giveaways (or both). You can't really force the whitelist thing -- people just have to be kind enough to put you on their whitelist. But you could try finding a couple of groups to join. Check the recruitment thread.

So, let's just say you roll a dice like the ones with 1 to 6. but the numbers are different, example you enter the giveaway Arida: Backland's Awakening with 2,569 entries. Let's pretend that you will roll the dice one time with the numbers from 1 to 2,569. The result is if even you don't get a win in 3 years, that would be super unlucky with dice. I mean the numbers are telling you are unlucky. :P , but be glad that you are not the ones that rolls the dice, it's the machine.

Sorry Sorry.
There are extraterrestrial life forms and bad bots on this earth.

Anyone can become a “Hero”.
At least you can be a “savior of your home”.
It is a “village savior”, “city savior”, “state savior”, “country savior”, “earth savior”, “star savior”, “galaxy savior” and “space savior” It will be unknown if it will be.
It would be most appreciated to be a savior for your immediate people.

The next training is cleaning the house.
