Did you actually engage in any sort of trading with them?
Unless you were involved in a trade with them, I'm fairly certain leaving them negative rep counts as a misuse of the trade feedback system, and could get you in trouble,
The correct response would have been simply to report and move on.
At the moment, you might actually be the one at fault, not them.

In this particular case it seems open to interpretation - if someone is phishing with a message to someone, or impersonating someone else and making a direct offer, then I'd consider that to be a trading-related experience (beyond just a bad offer) which directly involves the victim, and it's reasonable for them to -rep.

I -repped a guy for openly phishing and reported him to admins with proof. As it turns out he has in the past given fake -reps to users on other sites as well has run impersonation scams. In response to this he gave me a fake -rep on my steamgifts profile. How do I go about getting this removed?
