Hi PaperPhoenix! Sorry to hear, I see you didn't thanked the creator or you would have gotten a warning before. You can join back once after being kicked, when you've played your rejected winning. We found it strange you didn't get the "Master of Illusion" achievement, that something you should have gotten after playing the game about ~2.5 hours. Just shoot us another comment here when you did so. :)

I would love to be part of the group but there is something I really don't understand.
You wrote that one of the possibility would be to give away a game that we would like to see played and "The game should not have been given away free before (marked by 'two stars' when creating a giveaway on SteamGifts)."
When I go to the giveaway creation, I find another definition > "'two stars' No value towards your contributor level."
I'm unsure if I understand well. I wanted to giveaway Epistory that I already gave three times here because it's a really nice game and I would really like other people to discover it, but there is one star next to it, does that mean it doesn't fit the bill ?

From FAQ:
What are "No Value", "Reduced Value", and "Full Value" giveaways? How do they affect my overall contributor value?
When creating a giveaway and selecting a game, you'll notice "No Value" games are marked with a double asterisk (**), and "Reduced Value" games with a single asterisk (*). If you hover over those icons, you'll see the effective date for the value adjustments. For example, if a game is marked with a single asterisk (*), and hovering the icon shows "Reduced value since January 4, 2018", this would mean giveaways created for that game on January 4, 2018 or later will receive reduced contributor value. Games typically receive no value or reduced value when they're featured in bundles, heavily discounted, or available for free in online promotions. Their values are adjusted this way to better represent their true value. Basically - to join group you are not allowed to make GA for previously free game. For example: Story About my Uncle that was given for free by HB recently.

Well ok, I can comment a game title then proceed to play it, but saying "beat the game" so casually.. its not so easy to just complete a game. I can play a for an hour or two as a requirement if its a game I don't appreciate as much. Plus most games are quite long and take a considerable amount of time and effort to beat.
Then If I play Metro 2033 via option 1 how long do you expect me to play it?

That is simply the requirement to join with option 1, we want people who will give the games they win an actually try and not just play it for half an hour and say that they don't like it. If you end up not liking the game you picked when applying, you can simply let us know and switch to a different one. You are not required to pick a super long game either, as long as it is a proper game that is not 15 minutes long and doesn't just give you all the achievements for starting the game for example we will accept it.
For the games that you then win in the group we have a limit that the max you will ever have to play it is 5 hours (if the game is shorter then less obviously) if you don't like it/don't have time to play anymore.
HLTB has the story for Metro 2033 listed as 9,5 hours, so about that long.

I just gave the FAQ a read and checked out the group giveaways and now I understand much better what the group is trying to make members accomplish.. It's a nice way to make sure people who receive the giveaways will actually enjoy what they get and it comes with the bonus of a higher chance of winning too..
It also seems that I misunderstood option 2 as well.. I thought it meant the game shouldn't have been given away in the group before, so I was about to ask on that lmao
I guess I could choose option 2, because I don't feel like spending so much time in a game I'm not as interested in..
Now I know not to spam the "enter giveaway" button and only enter the giveaways for games I know I will try, though.

Playing Appreciated is a group for members that like to play games they win and for giveaway creators that like to see their games getting played. This sounds simple, yet requires committent and dedication from members by filtering out games they like to play from all group giveaways and when won playing those within one month.
