Hi AlanHill, you are welcome to join with option 2. Join request approved, please make a giveaway as soon as possible and welcome to the group!

HI lPyl, you are welcome to join by playing Divinity: Dragon Commander. Let me know when you beat the game!
Quick question: Do I need to request to join now? Or after playing the game for a bit.
You can request to join whenever, it doesn't matter, but it wont get accepted till you beat the game.

Congrats on beating the game! Join request approved, welcome to the group :)

Hi sceypt, you are welcome to join with option 1. If I understand correctly then you would like to play Shadow of the Tomb Raider to join then?
Comment has been collapsed.
I am sorry, but that one does not count. You need to comment the game you are gonna play to join the group here before you start playing it.

I am glad I started playing the game on a lower difficulty than that then :D
Congrats on beating the game! Join request approved, welcome to the group :)

you will get a confirmation from a mod later on but so you know quicker, if you played/beaten your wins already you are allowed to pick one of your normal backlog games to play instead. Still keeping with the achievements and no playtime (excluding idle time of course)

as I said they will want you to have a brand new game not something touched yet so you will unfortunately have to play a different game
looked at your games and wow do you have a lot of hours on a lot of them, cant say I really know what your games are like but I recognise a bunch as being on the shorter side like orwell, journey of a roach, pony island, hector to name a few

Hi HasteN, it doesn't look like you played Shadowrun: Hong Kong? You don't have any playtime or achievements on it.

Ok, let me know once you beat Shadowrun: Hong Kong - Extended Edition then :)

Hi HasteN, we are currently in the process of clearing out all our old join requests and I came across yours. I would like to know if you would still be interested to join the group?
If I won't get a reply in a week I will simply mark you as not interested to join on our list, but you would still be welcome to join once you have beaten the game :)

Hello!
Sorry, if I understood it incorrectly, but I assume I could ask some (probably silly) questions here (though, if I need to join Steam group first for that, I could).
Really interesting group idea, btw. :P
Comment has been collapsed.
Could I delete my achievements later with SAM from a game, which I want to join group with (Option 1)? Could I delete achievements from Games I won in this group in general or add some, if achievements have very problematic requirements?
Using SAM on any of the group wins is forbidden and will cause you to get banned from the group.
Is it safe to join any giveaways, if I usually have slower game progression (or even take break from games for a while), than one required for giveaways in general? Could/should I inform giveaway creator or moderator about my slow progression to be in safe spot and not get kicked instantly and to be able to join at least some giveaways?
We never kick anyone out instantly unless we have 100% proof they cheated on any of their wins or didn't bother to play the game enough in time and didn't bother thanking the giveaway creator. We always contact the members first when there are any issues with anything. However we are pretty firm on the 1 month limit to play the game (ignoring some special legitimate circumstances why the game could not be played in time) and not playing it very soon after having been warned about not having played enough will result in a kick from the group.
Link to the FAQ that might answer some more of your possible questions.

Thanks for reply and info, MouseWithBeer!
I've read FAQ, but still have some nuanced questions.
SAM.
Please correct me, if I'm wrong:
1.1 I must not use SAM on any Group Wins even, if I've already achieved required progression legitimately and some achievements can't be achieved in any other way/problematic to achieve
1.2 I could change with SAM my Option 1 Game (Entry Game) after I've joined Group
1.3 I could use SAM for any other games, which aren't related to Group Giveaways in context of Group Rules
1 month limit vs progression
Does this mean, that, if I play game in general (and could confirm it via screenshots for example), but don't make enough progression in time (ex. plot/achievements wise), I'm safe and Warning grants me some more time to play it to get at least a bit better value, rather straight up sets restricted time vs progression requirement?
2.1 Do legitimate circumstances include game/steam/giveaway aspects only or do they also include IRL aspects (sickness/no time/issues with internet etc)?
Regading progression predictions.
If I register at playingappreciated.com, could I see required ratio for every game, which was registered there or still for "Progress" games only and should use other sites to approximately predict required progress?
Point is that I want to know before entering giveaway, what required progress would be for specific game to ensure I won't fail with requirements.
3.1 Do achievements values for ratio include Giveaway ID progression only? I mean, if I won Base Game, which has DLC Achievements would they count towards total requirement and if I won DLC giveaway do I need to make progression within its achievements/content?
Screenshots.
Could I hide/delete screenshots, after I achieved and confirmed required progression?
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh boy, this is gonna be a long one, I hope I don't miss anything:
1.1 I must not use SAM on any Group Wins even, if I've already achieved required progression legitimately and some achievements can't be achieved in any other way/problematic to achieve
Correct
1.2 I could change with SAM my Option 1 Game (Entry Game) after I've joined Group
Technically there are no rules against that I am aware because we never had this case pop up before, but you are legitimately asking for trouble if you do that.
1.3 I could use SAM for any other games, which aren't related to Group Giveaways in context of Group Rules
Correct
Does this mean, that, if I play game in general (and could confirm it via screenshots for example), but don't make enough progression in time (ex. plot/achievements wise), I'm safe and Warning grants me some more time to play it to get at least a bit better value, rather straight up sets restricted time vs progression requirement?
No, the game needs to be played to the requirements set to be safe. A warning gives you a little bit extra time but it still needs to be played up to the requirements by the time the extra time runs out.
Do legitimate circumstances include game/steam/giveaway aspects only or do they also include IRL aspects (sickness/no time/issues with internet etc)?
They do, but only for rare cases and no time is not a good excuse, that one is 100% on you.
If I register at playingappreciated.com, could I see required ratio for every game, which was registered there or still for "Progress" games only and should use other sites to approximately predict required progress?
You can see the required progress for every game that has even been given away for the group (just have to use the search box on the progress page and search for whatever game you want, there is over 3000 different games). New games are added daily and we use HLTB, Astats, Exophase, Completionist.me and Steam (reviews and digging around other people's profiles) to determine those playtime requirements. If the game has never been given away in the group before the requirements will be usually added within 24-48 hours of the first person marking such a game giveaway as received.
Do achievements values for ratio include Giveaway ID progression only? I mean, if I won Base Game, which has DLC Achievements would they count towards total requirement and if I won DLC giveaway do I need to make progression within its achievements/content?
Not sure if I understand this question correctly. All the playtime gets counted on the base game (unless you win a pack with multiple different games in it, then all of the games get shown) because that just how Steam works, you don't ever* have the playtime counting on DLC.
*some very very very very rare exceptions apply (only one I can think of from the top of my head is Tropico that has some exceptions)
Could I hide/delete screenshots, after I achieved and confirmed required progression?
Yes, the website can deal with that and saves old deleted screenshots in case we need them in the future.
I hope that answers all your questions, but I am gonna be honest here, if you have to ask so many of them about SAM and playtimes and are not sure you are able to put 5 hours max into a game in one month, you might not be a good fit for this group.
Comment has been collapsed.
Thank you very much for this detailed answer, MouseWithBeer!
Sorry, if I irritated with lots of questions, especially with "suspicious" one, but I just want to be informed first, rather accidently break rules later.
Technically there are no rules against that I am aware because we never had this case pop up before, but you are legitimately asking for trouble if you do that.
Why? As far as I understand it's legal to change achievements, if Devs don't restict it or am I wrong?
Issue, is that I'm not sure, if I would be able to finish fully one of my games, which I won in steamgifts (I've entered more accessible giveaways, when I've joined, rather one, which I was very interested in) and one, which I find interesting may be a bit grindy and atm I try to be more about completionism so to speak (before I was all over the place and now it feels a bit upseting). So I ask about potential option for me to delete Achievements, I've gained with Entry Game to play it later fully, when I would have proper mood and time to do so.
They do, but only for rare cases
So do I need to inform Mods, if I got sick or anything else would happen as soon as it would happen?
You can see the required progress
Thank you! My bad, I thought it was maximum.
Not sure if I understand this question correctly.
It's not very important question, more like "would it be more problematic to progress with games with DLC achievements or DLC giveaways". I meant:
if you have to ask so many of them about SAM and playtimes and are not sure you are able to put 5 hours max
:D
Sorry. It probably looks bad, but as I've said, I need to know first, because I don't know what would be later and I want to be fair and clear to fit well without issues for any side.
As I've said, I try to be more about completionism now, so I wanted to know, what should I do, if games have problematic achievements.
As for SAM - I've used it for 1 game for 1 Achievement only. It was achievement, where you need to start game on Linux system, which basically required to install virtual machine (with all issues). I found it very unreasonable, unpleasant and not about gaming experience, so based on Devs feedback I found SAM and used it (I've also deleted all achievements on accident and then restored and then deleted all, but this one and get them back in legit way - but that's lyrics about me not being bright).
Unfortunately, while I look at some games there are other problematic achievements for completionism (for example Dirt Rally has one, which accessible only to those, who were during Early Access or a lot of old games have Multiplayer/Co-op Achievements, which could be twice as problematic for me as I'm not very social person and because old games with dead playerbase).
As for time - sure, I can play 5 hours without issues, but some games, if I understood correctly may require way more, plus Achievements Progression and I often leave Achievement completionism for last, if I'm very interested in gameplay or play it differently. Same with Plot Progression.
For example, I play Just Cause 2 atm, but only to roam around, take bases and get side achievements, but don't progress in terms of Plot. Or Warhammer, where I played 50 turns and then start new campaign (or play custom battles vs AI). I may be a bit autistic so to speak in my approach to some games. Not always a case, but sometimes it happens.
Btw, if I would chose Option 2 do I need to join Group first to make Group giveaway?
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh it is no problem, I don't mind answering questions.
Why? As far as I understand it's legal to change achievements, if Devs don't restict it or am I wrong?
The problem is not that it is "legal" or not, the problem is that if we ever go back at your application for whatever reasons and we see that the game in question suddenly has no achievements/has achievements that are obviously SAMed this might raise a lot of alarm bells and pose questions about what the hell is going on here and why were you allowed to enter the group like that.
So do I need to inform Mods, if I got sick or anything else would happen as soon as it would happen?
If you don't think you can make the deadline for whatever reason it is the best to contact any of us as soon as possible and we can then figure out what to do.
You can see the required progress.
Example:
Played 0.5/4 hours
0.5 is the persons current playtime
4 hours is the estimated playtime that someone would take to beat the game
The requirement then for the minimum playtime you should have would then be 4 divided by 2 so 2 hours. (unless if the estimated playtime is over 10 hours, then the minimum required playtime is always 5 hours and nothing more).
I hope that explains it a bit better.
Would Achievements Progress value count all game achievements or only one for part, which I won?
For example, I won Base Game, which has Achievements for DLCs. Would Achievements requirement, which presented on playingappreciated.com be affected by these DLCs achievements?
These get looked at case by case and game by game basis and the website may not reflect the 100% accurate state as this is very very specific stuff and would be too hard to maintain properly. It is best to just ask any of the mods what and how if you win any game like that and are unsure. You would of course never be required to get any DLC achievements if you just won the base game.
Would DLC giveaways require some screenshots/achievement confirmation? Yeah, I know about time, that's why I asked.
Playtime on the base game is generally enough, but ofc achievements and screenshots are always welcome.
Sorry, if I wasn't very clear. English isn't my native and I'm not very good with it.
No worries, neither is mine. I just didn't want to write a wall of text for the question which would end up not even answering your actual question.
where you need to start game on Linux system, which basically required to install virtual machine (with all issues).
As someone who uses Linux, this makes me sad :P but I can't hold it against you.
As annoying it might this sound, you would ether check the achievements for this stuff before entering or living with it as using SAM on those would break the rules and result in a ban.
As for time - sure, I can play 5 hours without issues, but some games, if I understood correctly may require way more, plus Achievements Progression and I often leave Achievement completionism for last, if I'm very interested in gameplay or play it differently. Same with Plot Progression.
Nope, 5 hours is max required (see the part of the comment where I explain the playtime above). As for achievements it is quite flexible depending from game to game and what kind of achievements the said game has so it is quite hard to speak about that. Generally if they paint the picture that you actually played the game for the minimal amount of required time (aka you are not missing an achievement that there was no way of not getting the first hour of the game and the minimum required playtime is 2 hours), screenshots can also help with that if achievements can't show that. And you can always ask what would be expected of you for a specific game.
Btw, if I would chose Option 2 do I need to join Group first to make Group giveaway?
Yep, otherwise SG wont let you make a giveaway for the group (you must not forget to manually sync your profile on SG or the group wont show up as an option). You would be expected to make one in the following 48 hours of so since you got accepted so if you go that route make sure you have the ability to do that before you request to join that way.
I hope I didn't miss anything.

Got it! Very much appreciate, especially pointing at double misuderstanding on my side with hours requirements and 5 hours minimum.
My bad. I misread and thought that it should be half time with at least 5 hours for every game instead of at least 5 hours for games over 10 hours. As result was afraid that some games according to howlongtobeat had very long requirement and I may not fit.
5 hours/month are not issue in any way, apart from force majeure situations, which I hope won't be a thing and I would definitely inform about such cases as soon as possible and also would try to ask, if any questionable situations would occur.
As someone who uses Linux, this makes me sad :P but I can't hold it against you.
Sorry that it made you sad ^^'
Unfortunately, Even in case of Windows I mostly use it as basic thing, rather using its full potential. New additional different system would be just too hard for me to deal with and I'm not completely sure what things it could grant compared to more familiar Windows. Also I read periodically that it sometimes has troubles with support for some products (in general or with updates), which sounds spooky.
But I would definitely read about Linux in the future to have at least basic knowledge and understanding what alternatives it brings and how it could be used.
As annoying it might this sound, you would ether check the achievements for this stuff before entering or living with it as using SAM on those would break the rules and result in a ban.
No worries. I'm already reading achievement guides to be informed about games I currently own, before playing.
Still not sure, if it worth to avoid such games or indeed just deal with it or use SAM in cases, where its not forbidden. Using SAM to get achievements doesn't seem nice and feels a bit like cheesy option, but for now for some cases its the only way to get some at least without too many troubles not related to actual gaming.
But sure, I won't break rules. Just wanted to understand more clear whole situation. I would be more reasonable in chosing what giveaways I'll join then or maybe just ignore my completionism for some.
we see that the game in question suddenly has no achievements/has achievements that are obviously SAMed this might raise a lot of alarm bells
...
Yep, otherwise SG wont let you make a giveaway for the group
I think in this case it would be more productive and safe for both sides, if I join with Option 2 (also would at least contribute and F for Steamgifts). Sorry that I've stole so much of your time already, but could you help me a bit with this as well, since I never made giveaways before?
Please correct me, where I'm wrong:
Does giveaway time matter apart from shortest time and are there any "fair" time settings for giveaway in your opinion?
I hope I didn't miss anything.
Everything was clarified. Don't know, how to thank you. Could I at least show small appreaciation for your big involvement with some game card?

Sorry that it made you sad ^^'
I was mostly joking. Everyone should be using what they are comfortable with :)
Still not sure, if it worth to avoid such games or indeed just deal with it or use SAM in cases, where its not forbidden.
As long as a game is not a group win you can use SAM if you wish, we don't care and don't check.
Using SAM to get achievements doesn't seem nice and feels a bit like cheesy option, but for now for some cases its the only way to get some at least without too many troubles not related to actual gaming.
I completely understand it however, I use SAM for those achievements that are legitimately broken and I have done whatever the game asked from me to get that achievement. Just group wins are off-limits.
I think in this case it would be more productive and safe for both sides, if I join with Option 2
Sure, you can do that. I just need you to request to join the group on Steam here so I can approve it.
Sorry that I've stole so much of your time already, but could you help me a bit with this as well, since I never made giveaways before?
No worries, this is why I am here for :)
Lets see:
I have "Serious Sam 2" with 1 " * " and Region restriction, which somehow seems fitting for group rules.
Correct, this fits!
I need to join group, Sync here manually with Steam and within 48 hours create giveaway, which would be accessible as option in giveaway settings
There is a sync that happens every 24 hours automatically, but it is faster and easier if you just sync manually. You can sync on the top right of the page here.
Once you do that under "Who Can Enter" on the giveaway creation page you select "Whitelist/Steam Group" and then select "Playing Appreciated" out of the options the page gives you.
If you need any other explanations about any other section on the giveaway creation page feel free to ask :)
Does giveaway time matter apart from shortest time and are there any "fair" time settings for giveaway in your opinion?
You can set it to whatever you want, we don't have any rules regarding that. I would suggest 24-48 hours so people from every time zone/sleeping schedule can get the chance to join.
Everything was clarified. Don't know, how to thank you. Could I at least show small appreaciation for your big involvement with some game card?
I am glad to hear! If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask :) And no, but thank you. I am just doing my job as the group admin :)

I'm not sure, that it's on guide part - more like on my part.
I periodically interpret something wrong regadless of how many times I've read it just because I've interpreted it wrong first time and as result I have potential wrong conclusions.
I may see small involment to make it clear for such "special" cases and people like me, but again not sure, if that's needed, since probably not that many people are like me in this sense and mostly these issues are on our side.
Playing the game at least half of the average or story playtime would be a good minimum target to aim for.
For games that are longer than 10 hours, playing it at least 5 hours would be sufficient.
Ideally you should play any game to completion though (but if you still don't like the game, so be it and we won't make you play it any longer).
So small changes (with tossing info in breakets) + separate lines for "For Games" and "Ideally you".
It may be addressed in same way for other parts of FAQ, but again idk what's more important "break/add separate lines" to make some parts more accentuated or to make text seem less long and be more tight (so people would forget less info they read before, while scrolling).
If you played the game you are very likely to get at least the easier achievements.
We like to see the winner getting at least the achievements that 60% of the other players also got.
Note that this is not the same as getting 60% achievements.
When you login to the group tool[www.playingappreciated.com], you can see the achievements ratio we use by hovering over your progress with the mouse cursor or by just viewing them and checking the percentages yourself.
Again, additional separate lines.
As for my other cases - my questions were nuanced and probably most members won't be interested in them.
I may mention, that:
for Option 1 it's not recommended to modify Entry Game with SAM
Or it could be added here:
"Using any kind of other tool like Steam Achievement Manager (SAM) to unlock achievements, or gain fake statistics, leaderboard data etc. is not allowed for our Group Giveways wins or Entry Game for Option 1
Screenshots could be changed/deleted as soon as they were registered on playingappreciated.com (at least I assume that's when it could be changed and saved on servers)
I may also see added somewhere (here or integrate in some area of FAQ):
Maybe, just maybe I would create at the beginning "Group Tool" Part (or expand it a bit), so "When you login to the group tool" (or just look) for playtime/achievements/leaderboards could be summarized or easily/shorter referered to (ex. "See *Group Tool part for more details"), rather being separate/partly covering same area/duplicating and increasing text size in each area
In that case there also could be added that, if you have questions regading requirement conditions (min/max) for specific game even before entering giveaway, you could check it via Progress>Everything part (even withot login). But again with at least 5 hours (minimal maximum so to speak) its not that hard and not sure, if needed.
But these are my 2 cents and again, I'm not sure that these changes/additions are needed for general audience (especially, if that didn't cause issues before or people didn't ask about it).
Generally speaking, guide is very good and informative. It just me, who has specific approaches/aspects/issues and as result niche questions related to them.
So again, not sure, if anything should be changed based on my feedback and probably its better to discuss it with someone more knowledgeable in this area. So please, take my feedback regading FAQ with causition and grant of salt.
I am glad to hear! If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask :) And no, but thank you. I am just doing my job as the group admin :)

Unfortunately, I won't probably be very active member, but I would try to be good member at least within my potential.
I've created giveaway:
https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/L5qbv/serious-sam-2
Does everything look fine?
As far as I understand, when someone would win it, I should:
Do I need to check, if Game was played according to Group Requirements?
Could I get in troubles or create it again, if no one would join giveaway?
Comment has been collapsed.
I will run the feedback through some other people as well, just to make sure it seems the most sensible to as many people as possible :)
We don't have any rules when it comes to activity so you can feel free to participate as much or as little as you want, it is not a problem.
Everything looks good!
If it is a Steam gift that is in your Steam inventory that is indeed correct.
Do I need to check, if Game was played according to Group Requirements?
You can do it yourself (on the website you will have a little approve button next to the game you given away - I can link it to you once the giveaway ends) or you can just leave it to us to do, either works.
Could I get in troubles or create it again, if no one would join giveaway?
You already have 3 so that is not a problem. You would just have to create it again if no one entered.

Yep, it's a Steam gift.
I could try, if needed or required or in case moderators don't have time, but would prefer, if group moderation would do it, since I'm not sure, I would be capable.
Hope I won't be a cause of someone getting kicked anyway - it would be a sad start, yikes..
In any case, as far as I understand winner should play Serious Sam 2 at least for 5 hours, since its around 10 to beat main story.
Btw, who should check winner progression: giveaway creator/Mods or both could do?
You already have 3 so that is not a problem. You would just have to create it again if no one entered.
Was just thinking again, what to do, if something goes wrong. Thankfully everything worked fine. ^^

You absolutely don't need to if you don't want to, we just give the option to the giveaway creators to approve the game as sufficiently played any time they want. Otherwise I check through all the yet to be approved as sufficiently played games everyday and approve what is good enough.
Hope I won't be a cause of someone getting kicked anyway - it would be a sad start, yikes..
Well it would be their own fault for not following the rules, not yours :)

Yep, correct. I will write the exact requirements once the game is won but that looks right to me from a quick look.
Btw, who should check winner progression: giveaway creator/Mods or both could do?
As mentioned a bit above, both can. Basically GA creator can approve it as played enough at any time they want if they want and we will respect their wishes, otherwise we approve it once it is played enough by the rules (I don't have the exact numbers, I would have to ask Reforced for that, but would say about 90% of the games get approved by us).

I would like to help to save some of your time. I'm just afraid, that opposite may happen and I would take even more of your time with even more questions, instead of saving it.

You can if you want to be nice, but there is no need. It is up to the people who enter to check for stuff like that.

I edited my GA info a bit to make it more clear.
If you don't mind I would like to contact you here again, if anything goes wrong or some info would be needed, when giveaway would end/during month.
Once more, thanks for guiding, clarifying, informing and for being kind and nice during our long conversation with 1000 and 1 niche or basic or not very smart questions from me. Really appreciate it.
P.S.
Btw, sorry for lurking in your profile, but just wow!
By far I never seen player with so many achievements and with quite high completionism percentage per game at the same time!
Kudos and congrats! That's very solid and impressive!
Definitely something worth at least trying to follow and orientate at. Though I hope to achieve 70% in current situation at least or not going below 50% again and probably won't ever be able to get so many achievements.

Ok! Yes, feel free to contact me at any time (you can also contact me on Steam if that is easier), I try to answer as quickly as I can.
No problem! Happy to help :)
As Cece said, mine is not even that impressive but I am constantly trying to make it better and better, but thank you :) I am hoping to be at the point where I have played half of my games by the end of the year (currently at 44% played). Best of luck with reaching 70%! :)

@MouseWithBeer
I pressed "Sent Gift" button in Steam Gifts giveaway menu. Would it send gift automatically or is it just a confirmation button, which I need to press after I would manually send a gift?
In any case sended friend request to winner to be sure.
P.S. Good luck with your goal and thanks for wishing me some. Would try to achieve it until 2021 I hope. ^^
@cece09 ; @MouseWithBeer
Indeed, I just found player with 700 000+ Achievenements and 67% Achievement completion. That's deep space high compared to anything I've seen. O__O
With that said, I didn't find others with such high results and imo, still MouseWithBeer result is very high compared to average maximum results of players, I usually see.

@SpiderDen Thanks for clarification.
I will delete selection then and would wait for accepting of request.

sadly with all the achievement spam games that existed 700k really isn't impressive. I'm almost at 40k and all I can think of is that I cant even find my own impressive because I know I personally played a few of those 5k games which has totally ruined my stats. I am now interested in just how many I actually have though. Well I actually looked and just by what I have kept in my library alone i have 7560. I got a few from family share and deleted games but that's as much as I still got

I can't read cyrillic, but I guess SpiderDen already explained you what you need to do sufficiently? Or do you need more help?
Thank you ^^
Yea that is pretty insane, although a lot of those achievements are probably from achievement spam games (some of mine are too, but the majority of my completed games are legit proper games). And yea, not all that many people are as crazy as me to have played +1000 games on Steam :/

And done! Gift sent and received. If Game requirements would go green and/or be above 55 in Game Score they could be approved?
Thanks once more MouseWithBeer and SpiderDen for informing and helping with it!
@MouseWithBeer
Sorry for using non-english language, but indeed SpiderDen explained everything regading selection options in giveaway area.
Well, if this is craziness, it's very productive one and definitely has its fun goals with clear rewards, so doesn't seem bad at all. :)
I would definitely like to join such craziness, if only I had enough power, wasn't so slow and had more consistent approach to different games.
@SpiderDen
Everything is fine - no worries. I understood already about keys from previous posts. Just option "sent gift" was a bit confusing. I was unsure is it a function "send gift" or "gift was sent", but you explained everything, so thanks once more for that.
And sorry for duplicating in english, I just don't know, if other languages are allowed.
Plus it keeps current discussion clear for other participants, since discussion is mostly in english.
@cece09 ; @MouseWithBeer
It may explain cases with 500 000+ achievements, indeed. I've seen people playing games, which are mostly for achievement farming.
Maybe someday I'll give them a try as well, but for now would probably prefer more gameplay orientated or one which I'm interested, while I have such, especially while I don't seem to have farming one.
Btw, is blaeo site helpful for those, who want to structure their game progress info? I mean, is it something like game notes for everyone or is it more specific site/group for those who try to finish all/most games they have?

Here's the link to the website https://www.backlog-assassins.net/feed so you can see for yourself about those questions as you can see it's just a bunch of people reporting on what they have done in a certain time frame whether its been 1 week, 1 month or heck we've had people come back from like a 1 year break before. It's quick to click on someone's account but I'll post it here as well https://www.backlog-assassins.net/users/cece09 Just using mine as an example. With your profile you can sort out what games you have completed and see just how many games you are still needing to beat, it wasn't that long ago we also got the profile limited games added too. Under the diagram you can also sort out lists for whatever you want if needed
For the actual report bits there are plenty of users who just use it to see their progress which is totally fine also. Another thing is that if you don't want to share any reports you can set it to not appear. People will still see anything you wrote by clicking on your profile but it won't pop up to absolutely everyone
If you want to check it out the blaeo thread has plenty of links to see if you want to give it a go or not https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/9VTBD/backlog-assassins-extraordinaire-a-website-community-to-help-you-fight-your-backlog-blaeo If you do decide you want to use it you will need to comment on that thread and wait to be accepted before it will allow you to sign in

Just btw: if you don't reply directly to a person they wont get a notification about your message. Simply @people doesn't work here :/
And done! Gift sent and received. If Game requirements would go green and/or be above 55 in Game Score they could be approved?
Glad to hear and yep! I just set the requirements for it a hour ago or so :)
Sorry for using non-english language, but indeed SpiderDen explained everything regading selection options in giveaway area.
No worries, I just wanted to confirm you got all the answers to your questions :)
Maybe someday I'll give them a try as well, but for now would probably prefer more gameplay orientated or one which I'm interested, while I have such, especially while I don't seem to have farming one.
I would say that you are much better of just playing what you feel like playing than those :) I only have some of those because I randomly got them, not worth spending money on them.
Btw, is blaeo site helpful for those, who want to structure their game progress info? I mean, is it something like game notes for everyone or is it more specific site/group for those who try to finish all/most games they have?
Yes! BLAEO is damn great to keep your games organized in the finished/unfinished/never played categories + you can sort them in their own categories you can make yourself (I have categories for games that don't work on Linux/my laptop, categories for games that I need DLC for, etc...). You can also write notes/post about your progress or whatever which you can either keep private to your profile or put it out for people to see in the feed. Or you can not write them at all and just use the categories to organize your library. I would say there is nothing to lose, give it a try and see if you like it or not. And if you have any questions you can feel free to ask me as well. I am not an admin there so I can't help you with any admin related stuff but I am pretty active (I make posts every week) and I know my way around the site.

Sorry for late reply and thank you once again for helpful information!
@author part
I tried to achieve 2 goals with it:
1st related to notifications indeed
2d - in case 1st one doesn't work or even, if it does work - to make nicknames more accentuated compared to other parts of text, so it would be more easy to read/find (at least that's what I hoped for), since I don't know how to make text "bold" (EDITED: already learned from BLAEO).
BLAEO
Was just a bit worried that I would mess stats of a group with my poor activity or this group is more for specific cases, but your feedback thankfully clear this out.
I gave it a bit deeper look and would probably try to join it soon - seems really helpful (just don't know how I would handle formatting). I was making actual notes or groups for my games like "fully finished/almost finished games" before - it was nice, but not in all cases and I was unsure about format, so I was thinking how to optimize it all better.
MouseWithBeer
I just set the requirements for it a hour ago or so :)
Thanks once again for your work!
And if you have any questions you can feel free to ask me as well. I am not an admin there so I can't help you with any admin related stuff but I am pretty active (I make posts every week) and I know my way around the site.
Appreciate your kindness as always. If you don't mind, I may have few questions as usual, when I would join it.
If anything - is it better to ask you here or on Steam or somewhere else? I just feel a bit guilty for discussing off-topic here (and for wall of text I've created).

The only gift i've not played so far is a game called Dark Matter and i don't think it fits the rules you've stated. But i did play all the others though (might've played Hunie Pop more than necesarry)... Nonetheless, i very much would like to join your group.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi HzAyberk, Dark matter indeed doesn't fit. Since you don't have any other unplayed wins you can pick any unplayed game with achievements from your library and play that instead for option 1 or use option 2 to join. Let me know what you decide :)

I hope you will enjoy Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice then :) Yes do let me know once you are done!

Hi dewapohon, welcome to SteamGifts. Since you haven't won anything you can pick any unplayed game with achievements from your Steam library instead. But you need to put you playtime statistic on public before, you can find the instructions how to do that here.

Both Age of Conquest IV or Age of Wonders III works. Pick on of them and let me know once you beat it.

Took a quick look and it is not showing up because there is actually no game with that Steam ID (154688) the GA you won claims to be. I will let Reforced know whats going on so he can fix it to show the game properly. Thanks for letting us know!
Comment has been collapsed.
Since the issue has been raised, I've been having problem with my achievements in these two
Is there a problem with steam API? I've seen some syncing issues discussions, if I open those link in private browser my profile says to be private, but it's public.
You can see me achievements here for example
Thanks

I manually requested an update for those 2 games from the website and the playtime was retrieved successfully now so it is at least up to date as of right now. If it continues not syncing properly please let me know.
As from what was wrong, I really can't say sorry, but this looks to have been doing on for way to long to be a Steam API issue. I don't have full access to the website (thats why I can't fix the issue dana9 has above), but from the logs I have access too I can't see any errors related to this. I will nudge Reforced to take a look if he can see something more what was wrong with this one. Thanks for letting me know!
Comment has been collapsed.
I already messaged him, but I got no answer yet since he hasn't been online yet, if I get any useful information I will let you know.
Thanks for sharing and happy cake day :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Reforced took a look as well and hasn't found any issues with API request either. But I can see it that it is not updating automatically again in the "backend" of the site, it only works when I ask the website to update manually. We will continue to investigate what is going on here because something is definitely wrong, I will update you if I have any more new info.

Ok, thank you, if I have any other problem with other game I'll write back.

Hi Whoosh, you are welcome to join with option 2. Join request approved, welcome to the group :)

Thank you! :)
I went trough your FAQ but I'm missing info on certain things such as: 1) if/how often members are expected to create GAs, 2) how much GAs should be worth (besides not free) and 3) how long a GA should last (i.e. are 1 hour quickies allowed?). Are there any guidelines on these that I may have missed, or is it up to us?
Comment has been collapsed.
1) We have no requirements for the members to make any giveaways except one giveaway if the person wishes to join with option 2.
2) We have no requirements about that either. Also free games are allowed, just not for the first giveaway you make if joining with option 2.
3) We have no rules about that either, you can make them as long or short as you see fit.
Basically all the rules that are missing are because we don't have rules about them. People who decide they want to make a giveaway for the group have complete freedom in doing so (except that one first giveaway for option 2 can not be a game that has been given away for free). We just enforce the group rules about the games having to be played for the GA creators (who can also approve the game that was given away by them being played enough for their wishes at any time).

Hey Mouse, hope you're doing well. I had a question regarding PA's progress page, I hope this is the right place to ask?
I know that when a game has been approved, it gets a green background. And when a game hasn't been played, it gets a red background. But what does a blue background like this one mean? I went through the FAQ but couldn't find it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Unfollowed. Which could be for many reasons: won before member of the group, is a member of a different group as well,... aka game doesnt need to be played
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi!
Sorry to bother you again, but I had a follow-up question regarding unfollowed giveaways: I was wondering why this GA isn't unfollowed, but this one is? They are both shared PA/PAGYWOSG GAs, and both winners were PA members when won, so I was curious as to what differentiates them in the system.
Thanks again 😊
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh, my bad! I thought it was done automatically.
Also, don't get me wrong, I wasn't worried about having to play it myself: because I will, as wished so by the GA creator. I was simply curious about any additional parameters I may have missed (because as stated before, I thought it was done automatically.)
Thank you though :)

Nope, not a sync issue, I just forgot to rejoin you as a member on the group webpage when you rejoined. Very sorry for the inconvenience, I fixed it now :)
Comment has been collapsed.
I would recommend adding 1 rule - review the game you've played.
So people can see what you thought of the game :)
Also, if a game is just bad - or turns out to be bad/not fun to play. At least a number of achievements should count ^^
Going to play The Purring Quest.
Update1: Somehow managed to complete the first level, but controls are quite iffy.
Update2: I'm done, reached level 5 - the controls and lack of control over the cat make this a seriously frustrating game. There is NO WAY im getting all the achievements on this XD
Starting up "Labyrinthine Dreams" next.
Update3: and finished - completed the full game, grabbed a few achievements. Game wasn't very long in the end but fun. Also F12 doesn't seem to make screenshots on this game but makes it reset... o_O
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi BBR, you can always ask any person what they thought of the game + there are plenty of reviews out there for most games so I don't think adding that is necessary.
If you want to join the group you first need to put your playtime details to public. If you need the instructions how to do that:
Go to your Privacy Settings and change your "Game details" from Friends Only to Public and make sure the checkbox bellow is unchecked. Here is an example of how it all should look.

I will use your playtime for Labyrinthine Dreams as the game valid for your application since it is easier to see that the game was beaten. Join request approve, welcome to the group!

And no I didn't not miss your comment, I get stuff done in a very specific order every day in which looking for any new application comes before replying to my SG comments and I have been super busy with other stuff today so I haven't gotten around to it till now, so very sorry for the delay!

I can't approve you to join the group unless the game is beaten (aka all levels finished). I did message the group owner if it is possible to approve it because it is close enough, but you might need to finish it completely.

I got the blessing to approve it despite the last few missing levels :). So join request approved, welcome to the group! :)

No worries, it is not the end of the world to have it missing as long as the name of the game is in your comment, it is just a handy thing to have when people tell you that they have beaten the game :)

Introduction
Playing Appreciated is a group for members that like to play games they win and for giveaway creators that like to see their games getting played. This sounds simple, yet requires committent and dedication from members by filtering out games they like to play from all group giveaways and when won playing those within one month. In return members will get higher chances of winning games they want and creators will know their giveaways have a high chance of getting played. The group has more than 1000 members and over 25000 historical giveaways.
