Thanks, I've made the giveaway: https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/I5uO3/nite-team-4-military-hacking-division
Are region locked keys allowed to be gifted in this group by the way? Do I need to monitor my winners myself as well, or do the group mods do it?

Thank you for the giveaway!
To answer your questions:
Are region locked keys allowed to be gifted in this group by the way?
Yes, you are free to give away anything you wish no matter the restrictions.
Do I need to monitor my winners myself as well, or do the group mods do it?
You can approve giveaways yourself on our group website if you wish to do so, but otherwise we, the mods, will take care of it :)
Edit: NoSenses was 1 minute too fast :D

Looking to join, I've already played all of my 3 wins, but you can look at my achievements on "Deponia: The Complete Journey" and see that I'm making my way through, almost done with the second chapter. I just had to reset to factory so I lost my screenshots, but I'll get a get up good one up.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi Boomdaddymac6644, sadly Deponia has been played too much already before you applied to join to count for a join application game. Since you have already played all your wins you can pick any unplayed games with achievements from your Steam library instead and play that for option 1 (you just need to let me know the name of the game before you start).

I hope you will enjoy Surviving Mars then :) Let me know once you beat the game!

Interested in joining the group, planning on doing option 2 (Syberia 3 giveaway). Before I join, I had a question regarding the games that are won.
If a user wins a game, is there a minimum threshold of how far they need to progress in a game? How exactly is this measured?
Does the user need to unlock all achievements for it to count? Do they need to spend a certain amount of time in game? Both? How is this determined?
Also, what about games that lack achievements that are very long, like Muv-Luv Alternative. How do you decide the playtime is enough? Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response, my profile set to public now. Tell me if there is anything else I need to do to join.

Hi c3powa, I am sorry, there has been a mistake. You are welcome to join the group with option 2. Since your join request on Steam has been rejected by NoSenses already, I sent you a friend request so I can invite you directly to the group.

Hi!
I would like to enter by option 1. Can i choose The Flame in the Flood?

Playing Flame in the flood will do fine, let us know once you beat the game!

Hey! I'd like to join using option 2. I have a copy of Bear With Me: The Lost Robots, a 2019 prequel in a small point-and-click adventure series. I think it'd be a waste for such a niche title that's not yet commonly given away to just be picked up and put on someone's shelf to collect dust, so I figured joining here would be a good idea, also just to generally assure the stuff I give away actually finds a home with someone who might get a kick out of playing it.

Many thanks!
Potentially stupid question incoming:
I'm late to the PC-playing game, having bought various bundles throughout the years with the idea being that I'd soon get a computer with gaming capabilities, only for that to not happen until Christmas of last year. As a result, I don't know a ton about stuff like this and how this group and its Steam equivalent connect. It looks like I'm a member of the group when I check my Steam account, but when I go to create a giveaway here and I try to limit entrants to just group members (which I'm trying to do by restricting it to "whitelist/Steam Groups"), this group doesn't appear as an option. I just followed the "current giveaways can be found here" link in the OP and when clicking upcoming giveaways, it says I don't have permission to check 'em out because I'm not a member. Anything I can do on my end? (Maybe it just takes a minute before this site gets the message? Maybe my username here being different (albeit just by a couple of letters) from my Steam username messes things up?)
Sorry for the essay and the confusion!

Hey, no, option 2 is still no normally join the group as any other normal member who can win/give away games and the public playtime applies to everyone. Sorry if the description was not clear enough.
Let us know if you would still be interested in joining the group either way, if not, no hard feelings, I understand :)

No worries. I will decline your join request then, but if you ever change your mind in the future feel free to reapply :)

Hello,
I have been recommended this group for people that like to see their giveaways played, which is great I think. Will definitely do option 2 at some point and besides, I don't think I can do option 1 because as a rule I do play all the games I win here and I can't remember any that I haven't yet.
Cheers

Yea I take it back, I found one from my wins Else Heart.break() that I somehow haven't played before which I am installing right now. Either way, I'm also creating a giveaway in the next couple days, either MO:Astray or Axiom Verge that I'll be buying a copy for myself as well.
Good night and sleep well
Comment has been collapsed.
Greetings.
Unfortunately, Else Heart.break() might not qualified for your group entry by option 1, since it hasn't achievements. From thread:
Option 1: Showing your commitment by playing a previous won game on SteamGifts that you did not yet play. The game shouldn't be very short and must have achievements. Comment with the name of the game before you start playing it and comment again when you finished playing it. Please upload some screenshots to Steam as well.
You are indeed finished or at least tryed most of your wins, but still you have few games with 0 achievements at this moment. These games: Hacker Evolution Duality, Iron Brigade, A Story About My Uncle, Flat Heroes, Owlboy and Pillars of Eternity (well, the last one is really long - took me about 100h to finish it xD), so maybe better chose one of them.
Oh, and I need to mention that I'm not from mods team and just a group member, so do not take it as last word, but just as advice.
Comment has been collapsed.
playing matters not good enough for you got to show up here too. Oh and happy cakeday
A story about my uncle you can finish the game without achievements so I dont think that would work out but nice of you to find a few games they can play which havent been touched
Comment has been collapsed.
I have no clue about "A story about my uncle", since I haven't played it myself yet, so I just named all games without achievements.
And I just tried to help, so I don't see any reasons for your sarcasm.
Thanks for congratulations though, totally forgot about it
Comment has been collapsed.
Ohh I see, thank you for helping! It's interesting I even completed A Story About My Uncle but apparently without achievements (that game was great yet short) Nice to hear you enjoyed Pillars of Eternity, I played until I reached the first village (with all the dead people hanging from a huge tree, yikes) couldn't really get into it yet but maybe I need to give it some more time.
Now you mention it I'm also going to replay Flat Heroes a bit, I think they added achievement later on but I do remember it being quite hard at some point.

Hi smokekills, we are currently in the process of clearing out all our old join requests on Steam and I came across yours. I would like to know if you would still be interested to join the group?
If I won't get a reply in a week I will simply decline the request, but you would still be welcome to join once you have beaten the game :)

I´ve not beaten the game yet.
But i would like to join when...i finish it.
Thank you!

Hi smokekills, it has been a year and half since your original request to join and a year since my last message and the game is not beaten yet, so I will decline your join request for now so I doesn't just sit in our queue. However you are still welcome to join the group in the future (once one of the options is actually fulfilled).

Thanks for be there
my backlog is too big, and the game i won still in there,.
I let you know when i start to playing it.
im fininshing now "days gone" probably the next one would be the one i won
as i said thanks to be there... if i was you i probably forgot that, so you didint
thats say a good person you are.
thanks mate

it wasn't mentioned above but you are allowed to play a normal backlog game (with achievements) if you dont have a win instead
You might want to just stick with option 2 but its just something to know so you have a choice.
Looking at the games you own though yeah doing a giveaway seems like a better option

Hi, can you re-add me to the group, please?
Frostpunk is a nice game, but all adventure just to run it - even more epic. All city in quarantine, so I had to use taxi to get from another appartment more powerfull PC for magnificent fighting with errors. One error have disappearred after downloading D3D_compiler, but new error arised. Then framework - and again, new error. Then four windows updates and game runs at last. And first loading of first world for 15 minutes, what? If it wasn't my won game but bought, then I'd refund it for sure. I've seen lots of disscusions with technical issues, that's just sad.
Comment has been collapsed.
Why? Is it because of played time? I've played more hours, but this situation caused many problems, one of them - I must switch LAN-cabel between PC and router, so sometimes I was able play offline only. Achievements in singlrplayer games count, but not playtime.
Or is it because I'm done for now only with one campaign? But that's silly, it's pretty fast to do it in two days, it's not some super-easy and rapid game.
That's a bit embarrassing. Firstly I was told, that I have more time, then that I kicked, but no problem - just play it after and write in discussion about it. Ok, I made effort in real world, have spent more money on taxi than game costed in Russia, all during coronavirus-mess on the city, spent whole day to go through this awful problems with game optimization, and now, now you're told me, that I'm not welcomed. Looks weird, really weird. Better say, that I doesn't fit some formal criteria. That wouldn't be rude like this, like it is rude now. That's really sone disappointment, there wasn't any other game on SG that forced me doing smth not in PC, but in teal life, and then. Then this happens. Christ. You could tell, that I have "bad credit history", but this time and this game

Cheating? How i'm supposed to cheat? Somebody have Frostpunk from group? Cause I have lots of saves.
I can do screens right now, or what you can say to prove, cause now that's even more offending, I have pretty unique walkthrough, cause I messed up with some buildings.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ok, look. The way this was played looks a hell of a lot like it could be cheating.
Since you have been removed from the group you first got 1 achievement with 4 hours of playtime more and then 11 achievements at the same time with like 1 minute more of playtime and then 9 achievements more at the same time with only a couple minutes more of playtime.
Could it be legit? Maybe. But also very much looks like it could be cheating and I am not taking any risks. There is a reason why we don't allow offline play and the reason is the situation right here.
I must switch LAN-cabel between PC and router, so sometimes I was able play offline only.
Also this literally makes no sense.
Comment has been collapsed.
Makes sense, cause my Pc in other apartment doesn't have WiFi and wi-fi receiver, only LAN. Here I have wifi for notebook, pad and all phones. But I can't put one cabel in router and PC. So i must switching. And so, when my girlfriend sleeps then I can turn-off WiFi and play online, but I wasn't thinking that this is problem at all. Moreover, I was happy when I realized that even offline achievements are dropping in game. In civ 5 sometimes it doesn't work, like in some other multiplayer games.
Just not problem. I'll make screen from different stages. I didn't use one main type of buildings for achievement, so that will be clear on screens.
And for me it's obvious, I don't know how this type of cheating works, but It's obvious that I got All others in two certain moments - 22:44 and 2:50. That's time when I was entering online and getting ALL achivements that i had got through offline-period. And of course you can see that 22:44 - achivements from middle of campaign and 2:50 - end of campaign. How could I fake it anyway? This not some type that you can get in one minute in any circumstances, completely different types of achievements. And it seems that Darkness 2 I'm "cheating" for some reason too, 4 first achievements for first levels for 1 minute, must be cheating for some speedrun.
Yes, dunnow how show all screens, probably better like this.

See. Child-work for achievement about double rations. Then children weren't help at all, and I was afraid to take law about any work for them because of other achieve which I didn't get anyway. Stupid location of Propaganda-center, I was losing hope every time I had to turn building off. No advanced medical service for another achievement, lots of tiny holes between buildings. And complete mess in late game because of tons of resorces which for some reason just dissappeared in one day -_-. For sure, I wasn't thinking that my loser-type planning of city will be in good use. Now it's my own personality, huh
Comment has been collapsed.
What does it mean "achievements would have worked properly if I was playing 4 hours"? I don't get it at all.
And how screens can be manipulated? I've fast enough to find dozen of screens which will be fit my achievements and have same stupid buildings's location? That's unbelievable.
And I'm reading FAQ now, and I don't see any notes about problems of getting achievements while you're in offline-mode. How I supposed to know, that you will be so nervous about it?
Comment has been collapsed.
My playtime that's idle from notebook, then endless loading on notebook and some playing online firstly, that's why alone was first achievement with children, because it was on second hour of actual playing. All others after 3-4 hours of actual playing. Oh, stop, I was saying this whole dialog, but you can't "sum it"? Really? It's just some kind of joke?
You don't explain how screens can be manipulated, just some ridiculous version of rule 34. "For every type of game walkthrough you can find screens!". It's just completely mess, do you really try to prove, that there was REAL chance to find proper to my achievements screens, and then even do smth within steam to implement it. Really? Just during talk here? That's madness. You say that this doesn't prove anything because of some kind hypothetical chance, that I can find proper to my achievements screens/saves at once in same dialog where "tool show us that this is probably cheating. Yeah, there is Real chance that this is not cheating, but looks like this"". Great work with possibilities and blaming.
Think about it in that way and try to understand why I'm pretty angry right now.
First issue
"You've got all achievements in one minute"
Two different minutes. In one minute I've got achievements from middle game, and then was a minute with achievements from ending. So how I could fake it? Why it's so proper to my explanation? Oh, because it was in REAL life.
Then you're talking, that there are rules that achievements in offline doesn't count, cause you can't check this. How I could know it? There aren't rules about this in FAQ. Moreover, I've played earlier offline because of other reasons and nobody said a thing. There is playing time, there are achievements, that's all. When I was playing Dark Souls 3 I've played almost all time offline, cause it could crush in offline. I even lost one achievement because of it, in DS3 achievements don't count in offline, so I had to switch it to online before boss-fights. All playtime was 2h of idle and then some hours of fighting with bugs and technical issues. Was it denied? No.
Then I say, that I can do anything to prove that I was actually playing, because that was in real. Saves, screens, any thing I can explain. What I read now? "Oh, you know, possibilities! Yeah, there is more than zero possibility that everything can be faked properly and fit situation, so after statements that situation looks MORE like cheating, of course we can't think that MUCH MORE logical and real possibility makes sense. No-no-no, of course that could be some lightyear-speed finding of screens.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh, I can do possibility of faking screen BELOW zero. I can switch language for you (if nobody played Frostpunk) and make same screens with English. That's absolutely destroys chance of finding screen in the internet.
Just accept, you've failed assuming cheating and then started this search of some virtual possibilities. I don't think, that I will be added to group even after ultimate prove, that's very often situation, people more likely will be search for some unreal explanation than call it mistake. But that's matter of principle now, I've spent lots of time on running this game. Yes, maybe I could do it in some other time, when I could play all time online, but that wasn't problem earlier and group rules, which I followed exactly say - time, achievements and no cheating.
Same town, same laws, all fits to achievements, different language for all who think that every screen can be found on internet
Comment has been collapsed.
Huh, that's just completely funny. Of course I played it in offline firstly, I even have screen, I posted it during walkthrough. I'm in covenant, but don't have achievement of entering covenant because I've done it in offline. Then during achievement-moments I tried to turn it online. So my playtime grows after first month and approval, I've bought new Pc without problems with crushes. But firstly it was offline and rarely online, that's why my playing time was so low first month. And yes, from point of view stats that was like speedrun. First 2 hours through idle and then stats speedrun, cause I was jumping for online between achievement's points. Don't make it more silly when talking HOW I was playing
And words about screens it's just self-humilation. That's completely, ultra-funny. How this manual could help to create screens with proper qualities in same town with two different languages of interface? Do you understand? It's impossible, you can't find two screens with same crooked town with different languages, even if it wasn't needed so fast.
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't know how defined authorities and responsibilities in the group, but for sure I'm interested who can answer if somebody from group posts smth totally gibberish. Really? I don't want join group anymore with such management. But some apologies - yes. Or something that "looks like apology". It wouldn't matter, if not one completely dumb answer. I've provided proof that I was playing game, even changed language in options for different screens. For what? For this awfull answer? That's ok not to add me because of some "unwritten" rules and non-transparency, but that's obvious shame to post smth so irrelevant. Like this person wasn't even able to read the commentary with the proof.
And rules of group certainly need line about achievements in offline. Because FAQ doesn't have this information right now. You know, just in case, just not to see repetition of shameful situation. Then this unwilling to recognize mistake would be rude BUREAUCRATIC behavior, at least, not fully illogical one.
Comment has been collapsed.
Feel free to talk about your issues with Reforced because I am not sure why you are even replying to me, especially if you don't wanna join the group anymore. All I told you is why we are not approving it and as far as I am concerned that still stands and therefore you are definitely not getting any apologizes from me. For anything else, like I said, bring it up with the group owner.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's obvious. That's group discussion and I've got answers from two persons from the group.
One person just left the dialog and became unavailable after absolute fail with posting some nonsense about screen's manipulating. Shame.
And second person is you. Dunnow what questions could rise now with this situation, cause it's now obvious that I wasn't cheating. Group said (that was noted, not somebody's personal mistake) that probably I was cheating, I've proven that I wasn't doing so and haven't done anything against the rules. I write in group discussion. Isn't it logical variant?
Comment has been collapsed.
I would like to join. I just haven't won a game on Steamgifts for years excluding that one gift I never got. I have however played the games I owned quite a bit.

Good to know. Maybe it should've already been mentioned in the thread's intro by now: how removal/banning is permanent. The group page has a decent removal warning (though it doesn't mention permanence), but this tread's OP mentions neither warnings for removal or it's permanence.
I hope better informing new members or want to be members should result in less complaints and misunderstanding about being banned thus leading to less time wasted on responding to such and the need to ban in the first place.
Comment has been collapsed.
There is only a small handful of people that are actually banned (mostly for cheating which should kinda make it self explanatory to them that they are probably not welcome back, but apparently not). The big majority of people are only kicked which are still welcome back once they comment on this thread and fix whatever caused them to get kicked so I worry adding anything about it to the thread might make it confusing to some people and I think it is better to just approach each one as they come in on case by case basis.
