Yeah! Cause everything related to Sega must involve Sonic! They do nothing else, right?

I have watched many game intro movies, EA THQ Deepsilver and many others, but not SEGA, so yeah, SEGA = SONIC.

+1. Also, I wouldn't mind having Homeworld 1, 2 and Cataclysm on Steam. Maybe now...

Or at least on GOG.

That would be a dream come true, but at the moment nobody seems to know what actually happened to the IP. Some claim THQ merely "licensed" it from Sierra, while others suggest that Sierra handed over the rights to THQ and they are being used as some kind of collateral for credit due Wells Fargo. Here's the comment thread at RPS where people were discussing it.

Actually, no one bought Metro because it was never for sale. (The devs own that trademark) Koch Media only aquired the publishing rights.

Hmm... not sure if THQ's crown jewels are in worthy hands, but I guess it could have been worse. Zenimax were the runners up, and who knows what they would have done to the studio. It's just too bad that Sega doesn't make its titles available via Steam in my region so I'll have to acquire them somewhere else, bummer.
