Are you going to participate this year?
I'll try this year, but Fallout will be released in November too...

I wrote a story for NaNoWriMo in 2011, and I did make it to 50,000 words, but I never went back to edit/finish it. I ignore the emails every year, but I should really do it this time around.

It's that time of the year again.
So, who's ready to
cry and rage and pull your hair outwrite stories?I have participated in two (or three? x)) Camp NaNoWriMos and one time I have tried to do November NaNoWriMo, but failed. I want to try again, although it's going to be hard due to me being busy with school. But I'm willing to try.
Currently I'm already working on the third draft of a big novel, but I'm going to take a break from it for a while and work on the first draft of a different novel during NaNoWriMo instead.
NaNoWriMo stands for "the National Novel Writing Month". From the 1st of November until the 30th of November you writewritewrite. The goal is to write 50 000 (fifty thousand) words story. You can write in any genre and form, you don't even need to post anything on the site, you just update you word count at the end of each day (or once in a few days, whatever suits you).
The event encourages people all around the globe to write their stories, and a writer usually needs two things to actually write: a defined goal (50000 words) and a deadline. Plus, you have a wonderful community, earn badges, read pep talks, etc.
The creed of NaNoWriMo is "The world needs your story", which, I think, is wonderful.
