And it is over! The giveaway has finished.

Alright, I'm just going to mention that the giveaway is for a cheap game that everyone wants.

Now then, to get access to this giveaway you just need to answer a few questions for me with expanded answers.

  1. What is your opinion on Queen?

  2. What is your opinion on Radiohead?

  3. What is your opinion on the album, "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea."

Rather simple, I fully expect several people to get the correct answers. This giveaway ends on May 28th.

As I mentioned in the thread: it may take some time to invite you to the giveaway, however if you post the correct answers then you will be sent a friend request before the time is over.

In order to sort some confusion, there are answers which I am specifically looking for. If you have these answers then you are correct and gain access to the giveaway.

  1. Queen is one of the greatest rock groups of all time. Freddy Mercury is in my top three singers of all time (along with Chris Cornell and the guy from MSI), and is probably the best of the three. I was not alive fr the release of News of the World, but I've talked to my parents extensively, and they say it was one of the most significant events of their childhoods. I looked for the record, and I listened. I can see why. Compared to everything else being put out at the time, it was fresh. It had never been done before, and it's just a fantastic album. I've since bought the Queen platinum collection and it's one of the best investments I've ever made. Also, if anyone else here loved Queen, check out Awolnation. They sort of remind me of some of Queen's early stuff.

  2. Once I ordered a Bobby Womach CD and a Radiohead CD came in the mail by mistake. I almost sent it back, but my broher convinced me that Radiohead was great and told me to keep it. I hated it at first. He listened to it like nonstop and it wasn't my thing. After a while though, that strange music of Radiohead sort of grew on me. I think it's the greatest hits CD that we have, and it's definitely better than the Womach CD (went out and bought it a few days later) that I had ordered. "My Iron Lung" is really cool. It's pretty heavy at parts, and that's pretty cool. Also, the guitar solo is awesome. Radiohead also got me into Beck, which I'm really happy about.

  3. I do own this CD, and I have to say, Neutral Milk Hotel just isn't really my thing. I really like the song Ghost though. It's got a pretty awesome bassline and cool percussion. That's about all I can say for the album, other than that I wish I had downloaded that song and maybe Holland 1945 and just left the rest alone. Maybe I'll listen to more of their stuff. There's bound to be some more good songs on other albums.

1 and 2. I like oldies and don't really care for band names. If a song plays and I like it, I enjoy the surprise and might Shazam it.

  1. never heard of it

  1. Queen is mostly great. I really love a lot of their stuff - pretty much anything in their greatest hits collection for example. Used to listen to them quite a bit but haven't in a while for some reason...
  2. One of my favourite bands (my avatar). The Bends is possibly my favourite album ever, and Let Down is my favourite song ever, makes my eyes water every time I hear it. Can't say I really loved their new album though.
  3. See... everyone says it's a classic, but I have a difficult time with it. I mean, it's a good album with some good lyrics (really like Holland, 1945), but I don't get the 'best indie album ever!' kind of love that I often hear when the album is mentioned.

  1. i just like their hits, i'm not a fan
  2. Radiohead got some good songs but i can't listen to it too long because it gets boring
  3. Neutral Milk Hotel's album was actually pretty good little psychodelical, some of the songs reminded me Jefferson Airplane and bands like that, but there is also some Folk Rock influences, summary : nice album to chillout!

  1. Queen have got some really classic tracks that will never cease to be listened however I'm not a hardcore fan of them
  2. Radiohead also have some strong alternative songs and I would position them in the top 3 of alternative bands along with 30 Seconds to Mars and The Killers
  3. I don't know it...

  1. Probably the best band ever. Very talented musicians. I'm not a fan, but check out Impromptu's Wembley live. Note that he could sing those high pitch notes on AIDS. Fucking awesome. I'm a singer and I know how hard it is to even try it.
  2. Radiohead... I liked them once, but not at all, not anymore.
  3. Who?

  1. One of the best bands in the world, I really love their music.
  2. Heard one song by them - creep, and I didn't like it because it sounds superficial and the guitarist doesn't play good in my opinion.
  3. Never heard of it.

Which queen? The queen of Jordan perhaps? She is quite beautiful... I am not exactly sure what a Radiohead is though I do know what a Football head is (from Hey Arnold). For the last one, it would be cool to be able to bring a phonograph in your carry on so you could listen to a record over the sea but I have yet to hear of an airline that would allow it. Do you think the vibrations from the engines and turbulence would make it skip?

  1. A legend. Freddie Mercury was a truly unique artist.
  2. I can understand why some people consider them to be the best band ever. I, personally, can only listen to their 1994-1998 records. The rest is just not my cup of tea.
  3. Found out about this album a few years ago on RYM, where it holds first place in 1998 charts. My first though was "another overrated indie crap", but then I actually listened to it and liked it instantly. Been liking it ever since.

1) She's way too old to rule a country. I like her accent tho.
2) Radiohead? Is that like a boombox or something? Cause they're way too old and outdated too.
3) Never heard of it, but the woman with a pancake instead of a face on the cover looks hilarious.

Queen is one of the best bands ever. Oh, excuse me, I meant to say EVAAAR. Why? Four awesome guys who all contributed equally to define a "Queen sound". Those four guys also happen(ed) to be excellent musicians and composers. Brian May created his own guitar, and he makes it sound unbelievable good. Mercury had one sick voice. Standouts: Love of my Life, Innuendo, '39, Bohemian Rhapsody, Sail Away Sweet Sister, Friends Will Be Friends, Don't Stop Me Now, Hammer to Fall, Somebody To Love, I Can't Live With You, Killer Queen, Keep Yourself Alive, Love of My Life, Noone But You, Under Pressure, Save Me, Spread Your Wings, Too Much Love Will Kill You, The Show Must Go On, We Are the Champions.

Radiohead is a good bunch of musicians who certainly defined the 90s. They are a tad overrated though, and I feel they have dabbled in ripping themselves off. They released an album as a pay what you want. They created an album referencing HHGTG. Standouts: Fake Plastic Trees, High & Dry, Karma Police, My Iron Lung, Creep (yeah), Nice Dream, Airbag, Idioteque, Let Down, No Surprises, Planet Telex, Sail to the Moon,

In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. Meh. (This one will make me not eligible I know.)
