I set the thread category on Off-Topic, but it should be
Personally I’m not interested in this GA but would like to apply :)
Anyway I added you to my but don’t feel forced to do the same

Mmmmmm, ToS is on a tier of games for me where I'd be interested in playing it if it was bundled with other Tales games or if I happened to get it, but not enough to actually wishlist it. Ignore the inconsistency where I considered it a game I'd play enough that I already bought it at an 85% discount to giveaway to Playing Appreciated.
If this is not good enough for WL now, hopefully you will consider me afterwards. I have 💙 you for giving away so many more games than I have in about the same time.

Damnit. I make all but the ratio, I think, and the blueheart GA since I can't make any right now. I LOVED ToS on the GC. Wishlisted it when it was preorder too. Ah well. Thanks for sharing, though.
Edit- I forgot to mentiont hat I did whitelist you, though.

I would love to join your whitelist but I don't plan on entering the GA for this game (just not my thing) and I'm not lvl 4 so... maybe for the future haha

May I? maybe...Anyway mate, thank you very much for your generosity. Bump.

I would like to apply, I love JRPG but haven't played the Tales series before and would love a chance to try.

Thanks for your comment and the whitelist :)
Tales of Symphonia used to be a JRPG that could be played up to 4 players, even though 3 of them only participate on battles. But it was on GameCube, with the steam version it's only a singleplayer game unfortunately :/
Congratulations on solving the puzzle, I wish you a wonderful weekend :D
Oh, and thanks for the gif <3

But they disapointed me, a lot. 1 entry so far within 1 week ! What a shame.
To avoid encountering similar disappointments, here are some suggestions :
If the game is only on the wishlist of a single person or two, then why not surprise them with a nice gift and give them the game directly, it won't get you any CV/ratio, but you'll make someone happy.
Check if they're still active, a cleanup might be in order to free up spots and keep it small, tidy and most of all, relevant.
Feel free to allocate more time, a week is a decent amount of time, but there's no harm in making it last for an additional week or two (15 - 21 days), this is especially true since it's summer holidays (in northern hemisphere at least), a good time to take a break from technology, a lot of people travel around and spend more time with family and loved ones, which means they'll be away from the computer for an extended period of time. This is a closed, whitelist giveaway, there's no point in setting a short duration to improve the odds of wining the game as you'd typically do in a public/private forum, people generally want the exact opposite, give everyone in their WL a chance to enter.
The only Tales game I played is Tales of Legendia on the PS2, not the best entry of the series but I still enjoyed it, I am not overly fond of A-RPGs with action-packed combat systems and generally prefer turn-based games or RTWP, but we can't be too picky, J-RPGs are well past their prime, so the best ones are to be found among older releases (the mid 90' to mid 00' era).
I plan to play the series in order of release, someday…if ever, we must be close to 30 games by now, half of which were never released in the West and are still untranslated to this day.

Hello !
First of all, thanks for the very long comment :D
Obviously, I am not really disappointed about anything, it was a certain excuse, or perhaps a reason (even if there's trully none) to make a whitelist recruitment. My purpose was to gather a fair amount of nice people to periodically give them something, I was a bit bored to make either public or invite-only giveaway, because of a selfish reason. Most people that won my GAs has a huge amount of wins, plays very few of them or maybe none, I didn't bother checking every single game, and have given very few amount of games. I know that's pretty much dick-thinking, everyone deserves the same chance as we are all human beings, I am also aware that not everyone can afford giving away much games, but it's how I feel right now. I've given some game I really loved, and I used to check if they have played them, and usually the answer is a no. But I consider that some people would really love to play games I give away, and I'm the guy thinking like "one's happiness is another's sadness". I like utilitarianism, I believe that one's happiness can overcome the sadness, and it would be worth it. But not when their happiness consists in a +1 in their library.
Even if I say so, I honestly don't expect anything from anyone, I don't like to force people doing things, I just hope.
I don't know anyone on my whitelist personnally, it's just some people that I had fun talking with, or that were nice to me, it's a nice idea to surprise people giving them a wishlisted game, but I see two problems, first is the budget, I am still a college student and I am not working right now, thus I'd have to decide arbitrarily to whom should I give a game, some moral shit, sucks to be human right ? That's also why I don't like cleaning my WL, I feel bad about them, but being human has its good part too !
The second one is the wishlist, I believe we all have tier list on our wishlist, and much more. Redirect on a thread talking about wishlist
Wow I feel it's pretty much a long writing, sorry for my bad english though, tell me if your eyes hurts at some point, don't feel forced to read everything :P
I'd also like playing all Tales series someday, they can easily be played in a different order, I don't think it'll affect your understanding. There are some link between them. MINOR SPOILER For example on Berseria you can meet characters from Xilia on a sidequest
Anyway have a nice week :)
EDIT : I have probably forgot many things, since I'm too lazy reading myself :(

I already have Tales of Symphonia, thanks for giveaways! Good luck!)

I have Tales of Symphonia for PS3, so I wouldn't enter the giveaway, but I think I meet all your other criteria if you're looking to add people to your whitelist.
Also, if you like people playing their wins, as I do, you may want to consider applying to the Playing Matters group. They're a great group of people that take playing their SG wins seriously and prioritize doing so.

Hello, thanks for your comment !
You absolutely do meet my ??????? !
I am actually a member of PA :) Thanks for your suggestion anyway
But inside I prefer trusting people than contraining them with a rule, not saying that's bad neither saying that we should stop it and actually I might think that it could be necessary, but isn't trust wonderful ? :)
Have a nice week !

I'm also a member of PA, and I really like that group.
PM is like a more dedicated version. Where PA qualifies playing a game as spending 5 hours on it, PM considers playing to mean beating the game (or committing an equivalent amount of time). There's not a set timeframe to do so, and the rules themselves are very lax, but the requirements to get in are far more strenuous such that the rules aren't really needed. If someone is a member of PM, you can trust that they will play their wins without a rule requiring it (and you can make giveaways for the group without being a member).
But yes, trust is wonderful. :) Have a great week too!

Hello SteamGifts users !
This is my first thread on this forum, and as I'm not good at writing stuff, I'm going straightforward.
Thus it won't be the novel you're used to read on other threads, unfortunately :(
Sooo, to summon my current situation, I've created a week ago a certain giveaway for my blueheart people, because why not ?
As I've never done any whitelist recruitment before, everyone on my current whitelist are people that were nice to me, so I wanted to thank them.
But they disapointed me, a lot. 1 entry so far within 1 week ! What a shame. To take my revenge, I need to expand my whitelist, so they will have LESS chance to win (I'm an evil one).
Tbh, I just want to let everyone its chance but I like creating unnecessary drama, clickbaiting heh :P
There won't be any criteria besides my own jugdement, based on :
Feel free to apply even if you don't meet all the criteria. Because as stated above, there's no criteria.
I plan to add no more than 10-20 people, I am verry sorry if I could not whitelist you :(
Thanks for reading, and here's something for everyone :) Now with a hint, a real one.
The giveaway above and recruitment ends the day of Humble Monthly reveal. And then I'll take a look case per case to whitelist people.
I'll notify everyone that has been whitelisted, that it won't be a hassle to check by yourself.
I will read undoubtledly all of your comments, even if I will probably not answer at all of them.
Please feel free to correct me if I've made any error, english is not my native language.
And I wish to all of you a wonderful day :D
~
EDIT : August 3rd
I am currently checking everyone, I'll be finished soon :)
Puzzle solution :
Every letter that compose the word HINTS have a wikipedia link.
The first one links to Pi,
The second one links to K (Anime)
The third one links to Near, from Death Note
The fourth one links to Tea
and the last one links to Bee
You simply need to take the first letter of those words, and it sounds like P K N (thats the nickname of the character, though.) T and B.
And for upper case and lower case you need to refer at the dots and the dashes that comes after the letter. A dot stands for : the previous letter in lowercase and the dash stands for : the previous letter in upper case.
And here's the link : https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/pknTb/ken-folletts-the-pillars-of-the-earth
