Looking for Exploration Type Movies or Series / Airships and Stuff

I'm thinking about movies or animated movies or series that have the classic... boy with goggles on/around his head, a father who's a traveler or explorer, a Steampunkish environment, airships everywhere. I'm pretty sure I saw an animated feature with some sort of floating islands, not sure if it was a movie or series.

Can you think of movies or series, be they animated or real, with this type of setting? I will be forever grateful.

EDIT: Upon googling a little, I found that the memory was Dragon Hunters, an average-rated French animated series that was translated into many other languages. Some good suggestions though! If you're interested in the genre, I found some more recommendations. Namely:
