You pay for time. That's it. Pay the premium price, have the max amount of time available to play from day 1. Wait and get it at a discount or free, play way later and be behind everyone else. No need for outrage.

I had fun with it in the open beta but that was only 2 maps. I preordered based on that but cancelled when on release day I didn't get my key (was through a reseller, greenman or similar) and I never did look at it again because it sounded like I dodged a bullet somewhat.
Is it actually any good? Metacritic seems to have the usual divide between critics and users.

For those interested but still uncertain, there is a 4-hour free trial for the game. I'm glad I tried it, because I found the gameplay to be pretty boring and got tired of it in less than an hour. I'm a big Star Wars fan so it was pretty disappointing that all those beautiful assets are just sitting there waiting for a good game to be built around them. I guess I'll save my money potentially for Battlefront II and hope that they put in a worthwhile single-player campaign and make it more interesting than "deathmatch with Star Wars license".
