Activation of the key not avalailable in my country

It happened to me 3rd time in a row that I won a game which can't be activated on my steam account. Does it happened to you? IMHO it's a bit iritating :/

do you read the GA descriptions ? It usually states if there are region restrictions.
This hasn't happened to me yet and I live in Germany...we aren't exactly blessed with unrestricted games xD

Just read GA description and search the game before you enter, though I do have sympathy since I have seen giveaways of regoin locked games with no warning. If it's from a bundle you can find the thread about it in Discussion.

The trouble is, 99% of the GA creators don't put in restrictions nor do they know what they are.
