Also, has anyone stopped to think that maybe it doesn't matter why EA is donating to charity, because the only thing that really matters is that they ARE. They literally refused money, and gave it instead to charity's that will help fight cancer, discrimination, aids, and help fund disaster support. It really doesn't matter if this is for PR or tax write offs (as many of you guys say,) Because their money is real as fuck, and it all went to charity.

Well, I'd wager that 70% of those 1.5 million purchasers are new to Origin, so it's over 1 million potential new customers for EA. You do the math. That's how Valve got me as a customer with the Orange Box after all.
If you really think EA does this completely because of good will, you haven't been paying attention.

No, I understood you completely. I'm just saying one good deed doesn't make the many bad ones disappear. They want people to believe they're the good guys, and with you they succeeded, as it seems. No offense, I'm just stating how it is. I'm glad all of that money is going to charity, but I also know that doesn't make EA the white knight they want me to see them as.
