UPDATE:

I woke up today to my surprise to find that Republique was $7,000 over its goal! Thanks so much to anyone who helped spread the word or donated. :)

UPDATE:

Republique now has to make $83,000 in less than 24 hours to be successfully funded. This is a HUGE improvement when compared to what they had with my initial post, lets Keep Hope Alive!

Original Message:
Hey everyone,

Republique is a Kickstarter game that I have been following for quite some time now. It is getting a lot of attention but is still at great risk of being unsuccessful. They need approximately $147,000 to reach the goal but they only have 40 hours to do so.

Here is the link for the Republique Kickstarter Page

I created a thread and asked for support for "Starlight Inception" yesterday. The reason I decided to post a thread on Republique as well is because of the amazing support you guys gave the project with just two hours to remaining, it made me very happy and I am excited to see if we can help Republique even more. I promise not to bug you guys over every Kickstarter game. :)

Camouflaj's summary of the game: "You receive a desperate phone call from Hope, a young woman trapped within a shadowy totalitarian state. Using a stolen phone, she calls and begs you to hack into the nation’s surveillance system, assume control, and help her escape from the clutches of the omnipresent Overseer."

Steam addicts, I sent a message to them asking how they would distribute the game and their response was ideally through Steam.

Thanks again for all the support you guys gave to Starlight Inception, I hope you guys can donate to Republique or at the very least let people know about it.

PS, Jennifer Hale and David freakin' Hayter are going to be in the game!!! :0

Hmm, looks really interesting, hopefully it gets funded, personally too poor to fund many games and gift here at the same time :P

SNAKE! SNAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

David Hayter is the man. If I had a cell phone, I'd do anything to have him be my voice mail messenger. Like some dude won from a charity event a few years ago, if I remember right. Can look it up online. JELLY!

Random aside! It was rather weird hearing Liquid Snake, Mei Ling, AND Vamp all doing voices in Dead Island. Cam Clarke/Liquid as the guy on the recordings, Kim Mai Guest/Mei Ling as Xian, and Phil LaMarr/Vamp as Sam B. And as BONUS random trivia, Phil LaMarr also had a brief but memorable few minutes in Pulp Fiction. He was Marvin.

David Hayter is a really cool and overall nice guy. I met him at FanExpo Vancouver while my friend was in shock over who we were talking to. Actually if you watch the David Hayter interview on the Republique kickstarter page you can see me on the left side of the screen for most of it lol. Grey DC comics shirt.

Haha just keep an eye out for conventions in your area, I'm pretty sure he really enjoys being apart of them.

I think the game idea is really awesome but I don't have an iOS device. Yes, I know they are porting it to PC but I'd have to see it before I purchase it because most ports are awful. Some of the ideas they discussed do make it sound quite good (reminds me of "The Experiment").

Just in case you didn't see it, here is a video of them talking about their plans to make the PC version different.

I know faith is hard to go on, I was on the fence about it until I saw this video update. I feel like the team learned their lesson and now see that the majority of people would want this game on PC rather than mobile.

Sadly no :(

I think it was the case of it would take a lot of funds and time. I'm sure if they went a good amount over their goal they would do it. Though sadly I cannot see this exceeding it's goal by much if it does.

I've been watching this kickstarter campaign since it started and am glad it's picking up it's pace, although rather quite late. I hope it makes it in time. Just a little under 2 days left before it's funded or not. The game looks amazing, and I love the concept.

I think it can make it on time it just needs to be shown to more people who would want it. Pass around the Kickstarter and annoy people like I do. :)

There's actually some questions I have because I am thinking of upping my pledge but I cannot find the answers, if anyone is able to provide answers it would be very much appreciated:

I have an Iphone 3GS, if I select a perk that contains the Iphone version of the game will it definitely not be able to run on my phone?

Also, is there any more information on what the INTELLIGENTSIA EDITION Journal will be like? The photo doesn't tell me enough.

If it was for android, I'd have invested. Afraid I'll have to pass.

Understandable, I know a lot of people who would love the game on Android.

If they decide to do Android in the final moments of the Kickstarter I'll update the thread.
