You dont have to be always on, im only onlinne when i start Origin and then i disconnect my internet.

After you have activated the game you can play it while offline, origin wont need to login. You just have to fail to connect twice when logging in and it puts you in offline mode.
Every time you start DA:I it will ask if you want to replace the cloud data thats all if you are connected another time.
Be warned the PC version is very unstable. Atleast from my experience. It seems to not properly support nvidia drivers yet. Have alot of crashes at cutscenes.

I own it and play it on a laptop. It runs decently at an average of 15 FPS with every setting at the minimum, considering the computer's specifications. There are EA/Origin based services such as cloud and Dragon Age Keep syncing, but you can probably disable them or work around them. The cloud saves probably works, but I've never used the feature over local saves. As for the controller UI, I've no idea.

Origin Cloud is better than Steam if you're comparing, it's always ask if save is out of sync, and I never lost save or reverse sync thanks to this, unlike Steam.
My PC i3-3100, HD7790, 8GB, running on all medium, except mesh at high, it's smooth except very crowded area.

I'm going away soon for some months and will only be able to live at home during select few weekends, so I got myself a decent laptop to play some games on while I'm away.
Now.. I've tried DA: Inquisition via EA Access on my XBONE and it seems to be the perfect game to play for a long time and now I was wondering about a few things.
First of all and most importantly, does anyone here own it and play it on a laptop? If so, how well does it run? My laptop's specs are roughly i7-4702MQ, GTX 750, 8 GB RAM.
Secondly, also very important: Do I have to be always-on?
Also, I would like to play it on my desktop PC whenever I can, so how's Origin's cloud saving system? Never had to make use of it up until now, does it work properly?
And lastly, I guess this is a no-brainer nowadays, does the PC version have the same interface as the console versions when playing with a controller plugged in?
