This game was conceived as a benchmarking/tech demo, which partially explains the high system requirements and lack of support for Windows XP (it's Vista/Win7 only). Which, in turn, explains why not many people bought it.
The fact that Shattered Horizon is part of a bundle now means it might regain a little life, but you should know that the multiplayer was already dead. It originally only had basic multiplayer with a single weapon - the bots, additional weapons and co-op/singleplayer stuff was added later. There's no real campaign to speak of, you just fight against bots on the existing maps, like you used to do in Unreal Tournament.
All in all, while this game has some nice ideas, none of them are particularly well realized and it just feels like a whole lot of wasted potential. Perhaps, now that the studio has new owners that have piles of cash (Rovio, makers of Angry Birds) there might be a sequel or something. But probably not.

You could always giveaway your extra Analogue key :) I was lucky, didnt have any of the games so picking up the bundle was an easy choice (mainly for Analogue.)

The last time I played it, it was completely dead, there was not a soul to be found on any server. So I played with my friend against bots, way too easy. Just sat in their base the whole time. There are a lot of great concepts, but poorly organized. Not worth it in my opinion.

*Is the single-player worthwhile?
*Is coop good enough for two players to play alone? That might be the only thing I want the game for, really. I want to play with one good friend.
*How populated is it? I've read people saying "it's dead" in the Indie Royale topic, but is that an exaggeration?

honestly, sp and coop are more or less the same. And mp has been dead a long time. But this game..(pause for breath)..is to me one of the most underrated games ever. It's an incredible experience if you ever get the controls down. (Note- if you play more like a space flight sim than an fps, you will do much better and be way less frustrated than those trying to play it like a gravity based and mostly 2dimensional fps). In my opinion this game blows away the question 'does it make the bundle worth it" i payed 10 bucks for the game back in the day and i dont regret it one bit. Sure it can be frustrating at times but what isnt. And the specular lighting and dx10yness are all good. its a feeling of freedom that you hardly ever find. Plus, it plays on a calculator watch :p

since they added single player, its viable if not as enjoyable as real mp. and when they have free weekends and sales and such there are some good games to be found online. also there may be clans that still organize games but i dont keep up anymore
