First, have a whitelist for loving puzzle hunts <3
Second, I was going to link you to my favorite puzzle from one of these, but it appears CiSRA took down their whole puzzle site within the past few months! I know because I decided that going back to find it earlier this year would be a great idea. Glad I did! Here it is!
Third, I made a hunt style puzzle several years ago. Actually used it as an ITH on here a while back. It's called "Mystery Man".
Good luck on both if you care to try!

Awesome! A couple of the top clues were strained, given the nature of the puzzle. Were you able to get them all? The matches for Bering, manage, and I think one other are the ones I'm thinking about.

Its inevitable with a puzzle like this, I was an editor for the MIT MH one year, and I know how tough it is to work with such constraints.
On togetherness, I went with "bum" instead of "arse", but got there in the end. The clues being in alphabetical order helped a lot. I agree completely on Aleut.

Wow. It's cool such a thing exists.
I think puzzles are at there most difficult when there's a feeling of uncertainty as to if you solved the puzzle or if there's still more to it. Also, the scenario when you feel like you know tons of ways to look at the puzzle giving this overwhelming feeling of not knowing which way is the right way to approach.
Also, Bump for solved.

There are a number of Puzzle hunts accepting registrations now, including the granddaddy of them all the MIT Mystery Hunt which I have been solving (and once writing for) for 30 years now.
As part of the run up to that, long time puzzle writer/editor/solver Alex Rosenthal gave a TED talk about puzzle hunts in general and the MIT Mystery hunt in particular, that has an embedded puzzle in it. (https://www.ted.com/talks/alex_rosenthal_the_joyful_perplexing_world_of_puzzle_hunts). I thought that this would be of interest to those on this board.
And of course, if I am going to post on Puzzles, there has to be a puzzle with a giveaway. Its a really quick one this week, and it is here.
