Witcher 3 or skyrim

I haven't played Witcher 3 yet, but I suspect it's probably better than Skyrim despite the graphical downgrade. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a good game, but it's heavily flawed. What the Witcher series lacked in weapon variety, it made up in story depth. I particularly enjoy the delayed decision-consequence system. Skyrim does have a multitude of quests and weaponry, however, along with a variety of other interesting features.

Since I haven't played the third installment of the Witcher series (nor have I played Skyrim on PC), I won't argue for either side or draw a definitive conclusion. I can say, however, that Skyrim was (and still is) a seriously flawed game whose lack of balance and complexity (and overabundance of variety) detracted from the experience as an RPG. It had an underwhelming storyline, repetitive quests, a broken skill leveling system, and a comically bad combat system whose capacity for cheesing was readily exploitable. From what I heard, Witcher 3 is outstanding despite the downgrade, and from my experiences of Witcher 1 alone I would say that the comparison between the two games is probably unfair. They are very different games which catered to different demographics of gamers. Comparing two very different games like Skyrim and Witcher 3 is to rely primarily on personal experience and subjective preferences since it's difficult to objectively compare the two. Each game has elements and features which the other lacked, and each has its strengths and weaknesses. I do not doubt that there is likely a superior between the two (and I'm inclined to say Witcher 3), but one would be hard-pressed to justify such a claim.

I will note, however, that comparing a game released in 2015 to one released in 2011 already adds unfair wait to the more recent release. A better comparison would have been between Skyrim and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, which was also released in 2011. But who are we kidding? Skyrim is a meme game at this point, especially on SG. Seeing how the OP described Skyrim as "the best RPG" (a title it never possessed), this thread was probably created to troll.

I got Skyrim Legendary Edition hoping that I would enjoy the game, I have a friend that was always talking good things about it, but the game is not for me, it is just boring and tedious and I think it is laughable that a game such as Skyrim needs so many mods to be actually enjoyable, the game itself is just a bad RPG.
