I know this might not be a good place to put this but I want some feedback on this build.
Like are the parts compatible and stuff

"ssd's are overpriced and useless"

lol, that's rich.
if you said that 5 years ago, MAYBE i'd understand. but in late 2014, SSD isn't a luxury, it's a must.

not only are they far more affordable than when they were first introduced, once you've actually used an SSD, you can't go back. it doesn't matter if it's boot up times, game loading times, or whatever else you're doing. you WILL feel the difference.

and 500GB HDD? seriously, is this a troll post?

get a small SSD for OS and games and get a decent (2 - 4TB) HDD for storage.

I had a similar opinion. Then, I got an SSD.

You might want to get a more powerful power supply, like 500 or 550. Just in case. The rest is fine.

Change the PSU, make it at least 600w or more.

i would personally get a decent PSU as well, since you don't want to really be anywhere near the limit.
however, i've heard of people who OC the GTX 980 on 500w PSUs. The new 9-series are very energy efficient.

You need different PSU. 430W might be too short. Get atleast 550W 80+ Silver (best would be 80+ Gold). Also - that Sandisk SSD looks very fishy. I would go with Samsung 840 or Intel one cuz 65$ for 128GB SSD seems a bit too low (and we all know what it means most of the times).

Samsung 840 SSD 120GB owner here, very happy with my purchase, no problems at all :)

i'd say get a 600W PSU, other than that it looks good :D

Nvidia advises a "Minimum System Power Requirement" of 500W for the GTX 970 (TDP 145W) + the i5 which sucks up 84W you should go with at least 550W with a good power efficiency (80+, like ExDec wrote), just to be sure everything runs fine.

The 128GB SSD is quite ok if you install your games on the HDD and just the OS, updates and a couple smaller programms on the SSD, but you should maybe consider Samsung instead of Sandisk

When GPU manufacturers advise minimum PSU wattage, they usually take into account the CPU. I believe a gold 500W would be ok.

As others have said get a better power supply, probably somewhere around 600W and $50, more if you may want to upgrade in the future. There are calculators online for how big a supply you need, and some brands are definitely better than others, or so I've heard.

I have the same SSD, and it works well. You might be able to get a good deal on a 256GB for ~70-80, amazon had that back in June-ish for people with kindle ads, but it's probably not worth the wait.

And I assume you have a case already, seeing as ones not listed?

9xx gen runs really well. 600w PSU will be more then sufficient.

I heard good things about the GTX 970 (efficient-wise) but I don't know if it could bottleneck your i5 4690 or my i5 4670 (probably not anyway)

No it's not, i5 and i7 are powerful enough to handle them. ;)

Im pretty sure even a 780TI wont be bottle-necked by an i5-46xx+
A 980TI, when its released, may require a bit of overclocking on the CPU to see its full potential though.

That's a pretty good build! I would change the PSU to something else though.
