Are you sure you're not looking at the part where people are willing to buy for $0.06?
Edit: Ok, from looking at that link, it is a little curious. If someone puts in a buy order for higher than the cheapest sell, does it just buy the cheapest card for the higher price? Or does it buy the first person's card at the higher price?

hmm. That is an idea. But imagine if you mistyped $10 instead of .10 cents, you would think there would be safeguards for that. I would think Steam would sort it out or warn you. But it is possible they do not care. Overall, it is in their best interest to not make customer upset over a few cents.

Market commodities are always sold for the sell price. If you buy a card for 10 dollars but the lowest selling card is 7 cents, you'll still get the card for 7 cents. Conversely, if you sell a card for 3 cents, but the highest buy order is 7 cents, your card still gets sold for 3 cents.

Someone who wasn't paying attention or got confused by the setup. I do think its poorly laid out. The Buy and Sell buttons are shown above the prices that people are Selling and Buying for (respectively). They might have been intending to sell one for $0.08 but filled out the Buy popup.

I never purchase anything, so I wouldn't know. :) I just make a small fortune selling cards and TF2 weapons.
As for the $0.08 purchases, I don't know. Perhaps there was a hiccup in the system and the $0.06-0.07 cards weren't showing for a bit, so someone's purchase order for $0.08 went through because of a mistake in a bot.
I'm not sure if it happens with card selling, but I know sometimes items in the TF2 market won't all show. It'll be restricted to about a dozen items, like the server restarted and its still repopulating the database, which is why the selling history can seem wildly different than the ones currently for sale. If the same thing happened with a card, maybe a $0.08 purchase order went in before the $0.06 cards were listed/populated.

I think most of this comes from all the different currencies people put up the stuff for and Steam then converting them to your currency.
Sometimes I try to undercut by 1 cent but Steam automatically sets the price to 2 cents lower without any way to change it.

Aye. I know that there's all sorts of prices you can't actually sell for, because the rounding of the amount you would receive makes it impossible to allow. Its something I've encountered selling TF2 items, and the right combination of currency exchanges and prices could definitely allow for this fluke.

This makes sense. .08 cents was probably just the closest amount of money they could get in that currency. This must be it. I wonder if someone who put their card up for less just gets a nice bonus, or they pick the card with a higher selling price.

I'll be honest, I don't understand the market. Was trying to sell some TF2 keys recently and set them to the lowest price on the market then sat there for half an hour as keys were being sold for a more expensive price than I set mine to on the recent activity stream. I reduced the price by another penny and they went instantly.

I had a Doctor Who Card which was worth 1€ and it wasn't even foil ^^ and now one month later it's at 0,40€

For some reason, that single Doctor Who card was a rare drop. All of the other ones were pretty much normal prices, but that single card was way out of balance. Eventually, it seems to have evened itself out. I hope you were smart enough to sell while it was worth $1.

Noone wants to buy my foil card, that's even worse :( even though it's the cheapest in the market of this kind.....it only costs 15€ xD

Here's a trick that I used a while ago. Put it on the market for a bit lower, like 0.10-0.20 lower. If someone goes by, he'll buy it thinking that he can put it for sale for a higher price, and he'll be stuck with it. :P
But seriously though, that's not a terrific idea if someone puts a card on the market one cent lower. :x

The next card is at a price of 21,68€ so that might not work here :/ and the last time it's been sold was on July 2nd for 15.07€, I'll just wait and hope to wake up with more money on my account :D

I come across this a lot. The market graph shows the price fluctuating within a few cents, constantly. And like two hours ago a card going for, lets say .08 cents as an example (with maybe one sale an hour on average). Then you go into the other stats page, and it shows 55 copies of the card for sale at .06 cents.
So either 55 copies entered the market within the last hour and were put at .06, which never appears to have happened before as the graph is jagged up/down along its entire length. Or people often do not buy the cheapest offerings. Or Steam is just full of shit.
So what is going on here> If a pile of cards were available at .06 cents, why does steam say that someone paid .08 cents 30 minutes ago?
Example (http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/753/233740-3D%20Station%20Wagon)
Update: According to Steam, in reference to the price you enter in the sell window -> "This is the most you can end up spending as a result of this buy order. Items will be purchased at the cheapest price available, so the order may end up costing less than this amount." AKA, buying an item for more than the absolute minimum is impossible, apparently.
