it will be uplay only..
its not rayman origins first time being uplay free either, ive alrdy gotten it from a prior promotion for uplay.. maybe slightly disappointed they dont give keybased licenses similarly to the way ea origin gives product codes that are redeemable to steam (in a few cases), but i wont complain about something for free personally, regardless of drm =)

confirmed from within the Uplay Client.. additionally there will be 1game a month after augusts free game as well.. (see photo)

Thanks for the heads up on this one, though. I'll probably never play it because it requires UPlay, but who knows... operating UPlay may wind up costing them too much and they hand it over to GOG or Steam.

Ubisoft seems to celebrate their 30th birthday by giving away Rayman Origins to anyone.
The announcement says you have to log in to Ubisoft Club after August the 17th to redeem the game.
