I tried playing Oblivion but i stopped and plan on doing it at a later time because I really burned myself out on RPGs. Beating skyrim, fallout 3, New vegas, stalker, and just cause really burned me out.

Oh man, I couldn't finish Oblivion either and I wasn't even burned out on RPGs. I just found it so sole crushingly repetitive. Felt like the grind of an MMO. Of course I was raised on classic western RPGs so the whole Elder Scrolls concept is odd to me, might be a factor.

Idk i really enjoyed skyrim unlike most other people. I played about 400 hours of it vanilla just exploring the world and doing radient quests. I just find the game a bit confusing. I literally got lost at the beginning and by accident started the dlc shivering isles.

I loved Morrowind, but yeah, the levelling system was a bit of a pain. I recommend either spending a little time optimising the levelling so you can just enjoy the game without worrying about it later, or just play naturally and dive into the console if things get bad. If you take it to extremes then it's blatant cheating, sure (though that can be fun too) but I've always believed the console is there because they knew their game, while brilliant, is also a bit broken. :)

Have you heard of The Backloggery? It's an awesome site for tracking what games you own, play, beat, complete, etc. Sounds like it would be right up your alley.

It seems cool but I keep a folder on my steam library of games I've beaten.

Which is valid, I do the same. This just gives you some more in depth stats since you can mark games as unplayed, unbeaten, beaten, completed, or mastered. It's also handy if you play across multiple platforms or own PC games with different services besides Steam (Origin, GOG, DRM Free, etc).

That seems like a ton of fun. Is there a way to connect steam to this service?

Not in a way that's functional (it adds a link to your profile). You will have to manually enter everything up front but it can kind of be a good/fun thing. You will get a refresher on exactly what you own. After that if you just stay on top of new entries it's easy to maintain.

I think i could get into this service because I probably beaten over 300 games total.

+1, I got a profile there http://www.backloggery.com/Dunther

games i have completed to 100% steam achievements
mind you, a lot of them are short ;P you can sort by "hours played" to see just how short, lmao

wow 71% achievement done with 900 games. I can only dream of that
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah mine would be higher but some games i played and just not like them or they just didnt work. But 71% is still really high which is so cool

LIMBO, LBP1,2,Vita, Uncharted 1-3, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Lego Star Wars Complete Saga, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, Lego Indiana Jones, Transformers and probably a bunch more I don't even feel like trying to think of especially when we had blockbuster still around here

I loved the PS3 exclusives when i had a ps3. I completed Infamous to 100% trophies and played over 100 hours in that game.

Infamous is one game I would buy the PS3 again. Loved it and wanted to play the second one.

It sucks i got rid of my Ps3 before the really great games of PS3 came out before the PS4 rage. The last of us seemed so good to play and I watched a play through of it and tbh i cried in the beginning.

Man thats alot. I hope to get that amount eventually

368 games beaten, 142 of those are completed. If we're only talking about Steam games though, only 28 beaten with 6 completed.

Some of my favorite games to beat were on the gamecube. You could literally beat them in a few hours.

To actually answer the question in 2014 I beat/finished 41 more games than I bought/added. The actual total was 99 completed now that I look at it. Probably would have played more Transistor just to get to the even 100. I currently am sitting with a completion percentage just over 50% on 330 games total.

What really brings down my percentage are games like killing floor and tf2. I feel games with over 60 achievements really are overkilling it and making most of them redundant.

While the quantity is one issue, there's also the problem that some achievements become unachievable (dead servers, preorder/event exclusives, etc.). While I'd rather see such achievements removed outright, it would be nice if games could separate such achievements into a different category where they don't count towards overall stats.

Yup I completely agree. I also feel that dlc achievements shouldn't count. When I owned a PS3, they only counted regular achievements towards the platinum trophy.

I recently finished Mark of the Ninja.
Honestly, I had pretty low expectations from that game based on the screenies I saw, but holy hell it's now one of my favourite games <3

One of my friends I hang out with was number 1 in the world for a little bit in a speedrun of the game.

Yeah i hate achievements like that. I try to do multiplayer for some games and really enjoy them but most other times they suck or unplayable.

I have about 500 hours played and literally did everything. I have done every quest and every radient quest. I found every location in skyrim and most special weapons. I did alot lol, I really enjoyed that game till the end.

Games I've beaten (meaning finished the campaign, etc., not getting all the achievements)
As you can see, I'm a big fan of the Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed series :P

Well, I've been gaming since 1989 or 1990, so I've had time to beat a lot of games. Achievement hunting or finding every tiny collectible does not interest me though, I view a game as beaten if I reach the end credits. And no, I'm not about to list all the games I've beaten, because I've beaten several hundred games over the years.
If you want an easy game to get all the achievements for, try Shadow Warrior Classic Redux, I got them all on a single playthrough, and I was not even trying to get them.

I just recently completed the Final Fantasy 10 HD remake. It was awesome. Playing now through 10-2. I beat the first episode of Taletell's Game of Thrones too, but I hardly think that counts yet. More like a piece of a game.
Hoping to beat the South Park game and Shadow of Mordor next. :D
