Did IGN manage to reduce your wishlist by a few titles with this Choice of games?

View Results
[Very happy] My Galactic Battlesector is more than ready for a copy of Risk Of Rain 2.
[Sorta satisfied] Note to self: don’t rush with your store purchases, they’ll eventually get bundled. Luckily enough, there are still some Stray titles here that I don’t own yet.
[Unsure] I’m quite tempted to claim this month’s bundle. But should I really do that, or camp bundle splits / lurk for giveaways / trade for the ones I’m interested in? I wish there was a Guidebook to important life decisions…
[Disappointed] One month more ‘meh’ than the next…
[Offended] These games might all have really high prices, but their Miasma absolutely ain’t up my alley!
[Couponprayer] Dear deities, humble be your bundles, …etc etc…, and lead us not into undiscounted purchases, but shower us in coupons, for yours is the power to save us from paying the whole $12 ever again.

eeeh... I wonder if it is even further downhill form here...

I'm only interested in 2kDrive and Risk of Rain so I guess I'll just wait to see if the keys go down in price, at least for Lego since it's the main one I want to try.

Stray Gods looks pretty good, and I guess Babel looks quite interesting (i.e., I would throw it on the backlog and forget all about it), but that's not enough. First month in a long time that is a definite skip.

I'm going to say Risk of Rain 2 is an incredibly disappointing headlining title when it was technically $10 at release. Doesn't say on steamdb as the game was BOGO at $20 when the game released and anyone that was a big fan of Risk of Rain 1 (and knew about it) would have probably bought it then. I've owned the game for more than 5 years for it to now headline in a $12 Humble Bundle without any DLC.

Of course if you didn't know about it and want Risk of Rain 2 then your opinion will be vastly different.

Miasma and Roleplaying Musical were on my wishlist though.

Edit: 2k drive (since it has all the DLC? or at least a lot of it) and guidebook of babel look kind of awesome

i am surprised they are selling the 2K Drive with all the dlcs this time, must have flopped so hard

Unless I'm missing something, they aren't. This is awesome edition. The awesome rivals edition has all of the dlc

Awesome rivals just gives you some in-game currency, this edition gave me 4 season passes lmfao

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's got the awesome rivals bonus pack, which contains 1 character, 4 vehicles, and 1 flair (according to the forum). No idea if any of that can be bought in game separately but there's no way to upgrade to that edition or buy it separately on the steam store

Don't really care for this selection so I cancelled for now.

A Guidebook of Babel looks kind of interesting and I hadn't heard of it before but one game isn't really going to do it...

what's with all those Online PVP games
I don't have friends to play with, neither willing to play with strangers

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

None of these games focus mainly on online pvp.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Exactly. If it's available, only a nice bonus for those that want it, doesn't mean you can enjoy it single player.

Although with Lego, the coins it does seem to have some payment system (which you probably can get with a lot of playing).

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They're all single player with online PVP as an option. I don't play online multiplayer myself either, except on the odd occasion that I find the time to play with a friend.

Actually, it's a "Me" problem
because all of my friends plays F2P Competitive games as they kinda cheapskate to buy games
Long time ago I tried to join them but then realize the game needs skill grinding and I can't keep up with them
So yeah, You can say it's My "Major Skill Issue"

I used to play MMO-style games when I was younger and I was good at them. But, I realised that they are a major time sink. If you want to destroy your social life, play MMOs and get into a clan. You start feeling like you owe these people something and you need to be there at specific times. I've learned a lesson. Haven't played any of them in maybe 12 years. lol

Maybe you're just wise and not willing to spend the time to get good at them. Haha!

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's simple really: devs with multiplayer games that don't have any player base will probably agree to Humble including their games in any bundle for almost nothing, in the hopes of improving their player base and selling more games.

with the competition against F2P games, I understand this perspective

I wanna know why in these last couple months, choice is filled with strategy games. I have nothing against strategy games, I played a couple myself, but it seems like lately when choice doesn't have anything else they just chose strategy game #6327

publishing deals, I think they are just easier & cheaper to include in

the actual problem is that they include 3 or 4 of them in a single choice (even if they differ in subgenres they are still strategies)

Dang, Stray Gods is suuuper tempting for me... though I'm not sure I can justify buying the whole thing for just that, haha!

Edit: On second thought, A Guidebook of Babel also looks interesting actually! But I still don't know if I can justify the price tag for those two. XD I will have to think on it... I guess I've had Stray Gods on my WL for 2+ years anyway so I think I can wait a bit more LOL

I've played Miasma Chronicles. Very enjoyable.
I also own RoR2 and Empyrion.

Stray Gods and Battlesector I've wanted for a bit now, Babel looks cool.

Lego and KoH2 look like games I'd try out.

Actually a very good month overall. Lots of good stuff, no real filler at all.

Cheers for the rundown; I've had RoR2 on my wishlist for a while so this makes it worthwhile if I factor in that the other games are essentially $2.

No problem. Definitely a great deal, and you're likely to enjoy at least one or two of the other games, making it even more worthwhile. :)

Neither love or hate.
was interested in Miasma Chronicles since it was in whatever service gave out a limited # of copies, Risk of Rain 2 seemed like it solved my issues with the first one, Stray Gods and Guidebook to the Babel are games I never heard of that looked interesting.
so half the bundle is keep

anyone know if Lego 2K drive is playable offline without a 2k account?

Permalink

I played the free weekend in the past few months and I did not create a 2K account.
However, certain features (including the mutliplayer) require a 2K account but it's playable in solo without one.

They should just go ahead and rename it the Strategy Monthly. It's month after month and it's not like there's any choice involved anymore besides skipping it, just like any other bundle.

Also damn, those region locks!! It's getting insane.

I know right would it kill them to be a bit more varied with some sport or anime or just something a bit different

I think they are really struggling to get devs to participate anymore and ofc it shows so it really seems they are going for the low hanging fruit.
