What was the era you first started gaming in?
Commodore 64 in early 80.
I can't remember the first game I ever played but my fav was Impossible Mission.

My family had a VIC also, shortly after that we got a Commadore64 and then several Amiga's.

My first was a Timex Sinclair, ran Basic. 8 mhz processor, 16 kb of ram with an addon pack, hard drive was a cassette recorder. Output to a black and white Sanyo tv. Was around 1976/77 if I remember correctly. And yes, I am old enough to remember Moses and the invention of dirt...lol

(1/2) 90s, Sega Mega Drive II (which is kind of the same like Sega Genesis, i dont know the difference honestly but both rock), im guessing i had that to play because of my uncle, i doubt my mommy bought that me but who knows, i never asked but she did buy me additional games which was great. My cousin Andy also owned one and still does, well, we both do but mine isnt so...functional anymore, not the remote plugs anyway, curtesy of idiot me...me and him played seperatedly and toghether with what co-op games we had but didnt mind watching him play when i was visiting him. The games im thankfull for that entertained my childhood amazingly are Robocop 3, Streets of Rage 1 and 2 and 3, Doom Troopers: Mutant Chronicles (enjoyable, extremly hard but hated it for being short when the ride was over but is so great still), Dune: The Battle for Arrakis (the game that probably got me into strategy games, even though i suck at multiplayers, too slow i am...), the wonderfull EA games of Road Rash 2 and 3, aswell as Desert Strike, Jungle Strike and Urban Strike (listen to the main music themes and soundtracks of these games by the way, soo good), Battletoads (too hard, ever only got to the point of...yeah its hard to describe but its..after or before Surf City...), Adventures of Batman and Robin, Jurrasic Park, Jurrasic Park Rampage Edition, Jurrasic Park: The Lost World, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist, Mortal Kombat 3 (this game scared me and was too hard), Ghostbusters (the best one id say), Quackshot Duck starring Donald Duck, Sunset Riders, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles 3 (never actualy beat the third game last boss or collected all gems, second game last boss, lost so, so, so much there, never finished the first either but i did watch it get finished by Irwe3 who replays the first three games every year in a stream on his birthday cause he loves Sonic that much), Sonic Pinball for some bits (dont ask why, i just..did...), Flashback (too hard and complicated, never finished it) Mega Lo Mania (well i didnt play it but i watched my cousin Elvij play it, still dont understand a thing about it...he also played a tetris pacman), some couple wierd chip and dale game and a mario game that was basicaly the same thing, a wierd pokemon game (hard as balls), a wierd spaceship game, a wierd bad but unique good looking brawler or something but is a bad game, watched uncle play a formula game called Super Monaco GP2 i think (boring), a mario game or two ofcourse but they were too hard to finish (hated that one sea level...), Chase H.Q. II which was hard but cool, some Hard Drivin', Aladdin ofcourse, Batman Forever and i regret it (was too hard anyway but kinda unique and cool in mechanics and such...), Top Gear II (great solid racer), The Flinstones, a tiny bit of Ecco the Dolphin but i realy, realy didnt want to play it and still dont, just something about it turns me off..., Zero Tolerance i played a bit but its hard..., Tiny Toons Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure, The Animaniacs, Golden Axe 2 (still gotta play the first and third...) aaaand..thats kinda it i think, of what i can remember of playing at the moment or seeing being played in person back then...i totaly recommend these games on a emulator or a website that allows them played online that i know of and have tried, great games, most of them atleast, didnt play other goodies saddly like Comix Zone, Street Fighter, Toe Jam and Earl, Earthworm Jim (altough i saw some snippets of that) but nyeah...but then, after that after some time, for christmas ''santa'' brought me a-
(Oh and in between times at some point i did have access occasionaly to a Nokia Cell Phone and a couple others and i played on them a good space ship game, some character management games, Gangstar i think aswell, a good horror shooter game, Age of Empires 3 mobile which was sweet, an incredibly looking wierd game i knew nothing about and still dont but it looked so good!, one of those kingdom games of sort, cant remember but it was great, capturing houses for gold, capturing castles to buy units, medieval fantasy it was, they had that double battle screen, it was good... some Splinter Cell game and a actiony shooty good one, Prince of Persia and...nyeah, alot of great mobile games i had but they were too short and they werent free, i regret me and my brother costing it for our mommy :{ ....also in my mommy's school in a computer class young adults played Age of Empires 2 and Commandos: Beyond the Call of duty..i embarrisingly enough remember how akwardly i yelled and cried for a guy to kill a elephant in AoE2, he said it was too powerfull but eventualy budged in, sent some men and they got killed..hah...and a Commandos player told me he had to go somewhere but told me to keep shooting a pistol on a dead guy incase he wasnt dead...hah...kids am i right? Oh and early on my uncle had a strange flat mobile consile thats similar to the PSP but smaller, i played on it an amazing RPG but didnt understood a thing, a Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six game, Earthworm Jim on it but kept losing and some other stuff but it didnt stay with us for long, i wasnt even allowed to play it, huh...it was grey and flat, wish i knew what it was, maybe theres other goodies to play on it..maybe was something Nintendo, i dont know...also while a kid, after school, in my fathers work on a computer i discovered Command and Conquer 95 Gold and Dune 2000, as well as a wierd version of Warcraft 2, i enjoyed them so much and there was also a bike racing game, i dont know why but on a win screen there were 3 hot ladies on it and i showed the screen of them to some costumers in his shop/work, i was like ''check these out, thats some nice stuff ah ;) ? Nyeah..embarrising...around that time later on my sister was born, dad announced it litearly as i was playing that screwed up Warcraft 2 version. Also at some point i got exposed to a PS1 with Spiro and a WWII shooty game on it.)

(2/2) -Game Boy Color in a green and purple satchel with a cute Pikachu on it, i actualy wish i could show it off right now...but nyeah, i had Pokemon Gold, Castlevania, Hugo or something, a Silvester the Cat game (that black white cat from Looney Tunes), a...not that good Mario game but it moved and looked phenomenal and Carmaggedon, that was good fun while it lasted till i beat them or couldnt beat them and i was just bored and sick of replaying....wow i was so young and little back then, its so crazy how things have changed.... afterwards in the 00 years later on i got my hands on a-
(Nyeah, at some point also i didnt manage to start playing computer games, when i was still a kid, i was exposed to Doom over at cousin Oscars aunt Ivona's house, she started it up for me but i always stopped playing when encountering the first Imp, i hugged a wall and as he kept blasting fireballs at it, i was hidding under their bed, i was too scared to play further...pathetic, i know...he also played Total Annihilation and it looked so cool but said it only has 3 missions and he never let me play it, bastard...during those times a friend who is the son to a woman my mommy is friends with, he introduced me to Red Alert, KKnD Xtreme and Starcraft, all of which i loved playing at his place but it didnt last...i was so interested and loving them though...later on uncle brought over a old pc and it had a game called GTA III which i enjoyed immensly and it probably ensured my gaming addiction which has honestly ruined my life probably....GTA Vice City and San Andreas followed after ofcourse, GTA III was my first pc game ever for real that i played if not Doom, after that followed Arcanum, a old game, Half Life, Delta Force Land Warrior (which i enjoyed and messed around in so much, it came toghether in the pc luckily), a wierd isometric cool squad shooter manager game, another one called Fallout Tactics, a wierd dark sky green hud only 3 weapon first person shooter game of some kind, Worms Armaggedon and Worms World Party with my cousins, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 and Need for Speed III ( i used to roleplay as the cops with my cousin Elvij, pretending we're both in the car), Heroes of Might and Magic 3, played long nights over at my cousin Elvij with him... watched my uncle play a sophisticated, very difficult, old car building and car racing game, played the first Need for Speed and need for Speed Porcshe game a tiny bit, a Sim City game, not 2000 but something later..also Sims 1 that i didnt get to play much of... The Sims 2 later on but without expansions and imagination, i wasnt good at it but i enjoyed it. Worms 4 Mayhem, Counter Strike Source mostly zombie modes, watched heap tons of Gmod animation videos, funny stuff, played True Crime New York City which was awesome, loved it very much despite the bugs and stuff, Cossacks a little bit, torrented Killing Floor via Hamachi and well...i played so much else old stuff i dont remember..and ofcourse tried to torrent all the great games i could find and that would run..there were alot games, hard to remember all but those days were just the best compared to past 2010, played Flatout, Warhmammer 40K Dawn of War I, Starcraft multiplayer, Red Alert 2, Red Alert 3, Warcraft 2, Warcraft 3, Age of Empires 3 (which is better than AoE 2), Crimecraft, District 187, Arctic Combat, cool BMX game, a unqiue racer game i wish i remembered and so, so, so, so much else......oh and ofcourse a ton of Armorgames flash games aswell as browser games like Dragonfable, Mech something, Adventure Quest Worlds, Ikariam, Epic Duel and more, so, so much more.....)
-PSP, mommy tricked Dad into giving money for that, saying it be for education, bloody thing costed about 264 lats or something (more expensive than euros and definetly than dollars but are now extinct...) Wipeout came with it but i actualy never played it because it was a space ship futiristic racer and it turned me off..but a game my mom bought with it actualy was GTA Vice City Stories, still should have it somewhere but its not useable since i was too retarded and brought my PSP to school one day (not the first time though, far from it), lessons ended early and i waited for no one and rushed to my bus station and got surrounded by 3 thugs who spot the pocket bulge in my pants, demanded i hand it over, i was feeling horrible and afraid and i..just..handed it over...regreted it instantly and still do, it still hurts and was never found, assholes ran away, people around laughed at me as i panicaly ran after them but couldnt catch up, classmates and police helped search but never found, didnt end up in a black market either...i hate myself so much...anyway, on it i played Vice City Stories, but more games were too expensive for us, so my uncle hacked it so that i could download anthing i want as long as it fits in with the small 4GB memory card and the PSP is updated, which for the most part it was but shortly before it was stolen, it was kind of impossible to update it further, thus new great games like Motorstorm Arctic Edge never worked when i tried and nothing beyond that sigh...still, losing it made me realize how valuable and wanted my dear little precious PSP was, with all the scars my horrible siblings brought upon it.... anyway, hacked, i scouvered the internet for what to play, i was very picky and tried to choose the best (anime games didnt interest me and i didnt want or like them and HELL NO to any sport games like Football) and so i tried few from many and those few were truly great games and they still are, i seriously suggest anyone willing to play them, you will have a good time, i promise that, just watch this guy replaying Burnout Legends from a emulator https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rJBh4DAPko which is one of the best games i ever played, followed by Manhunt 2, Pursuit Force, Pursuit Force Extreme Justice, Patapon, Patapon 2, Obscure the Aftermath, Silent Hill Origins, Killzone Liberation, Final Fantasy Crisis Core (so impactfull, cool and emotional, love it so, so, so much, best FF game ever, even if its the only one i played, the other ones are not like this.... , The Worms games avaivable on the PSP, Warhammer 40K Squad Command, Field Commander, all the SOCOM games, Jax, Tom Clancy Ghost Advanced Warfighter or something, Resistance Retribution, Dead Head Fred, so much else i could list.... and after that, just PC, just PC till this day and will stay that way....man i am so old with a past like that...

My first gaming system was the PS2, and my first video game for it was ATV Offroad Fury (which came with it). The first game I got for the PS2 was Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, a solid, but not perfect 3d platformer. Even though I was born into the PS2 generation I tend to play lots of retro games which started with me playing Super Mario. Bros 2 (my first Mario game and I think first 2d platformer) on the GBA.
