Games that made you "emotional"

Me too. No sadness though.

Majora's Mask is a pretty dark game.

Sadly, I'll probably never get a chance to play that. =/

Huh. I didn't respond to either game emotionally. I was really invested in Planescape: Torment in other ways though...

Planescape Torment had quite a few places tbh, tho i still think FF9 is the worst for me ^_^

Definitely Planescape.

Yeah, they're very rare. The Walking Dead works for me because I let myself feel very paternal, which makes everything I do magnified by how it affects Clementine.

I just cried so hard that I gave up trying to drink water anymore because the tears would just get in the way, just from reading what you wrote.

Especially the final boss scene.

Agreed. I would say its bitter sweet but it's not. It is just pretty damn bitter and depressing. Specially with who is talking about Cole at the end (trying to give spoilers for those who haven't finished and may be reading.)

You should try To The Moon and maybe The Walking Dead, unless you want to just stick to those three. Or maybe something else someone mentioned.

Magical Diary looks like an RPG VN, maybe...

Also, isn't Analogue a VN? I've been meaning to get to it and Digital: A Love Story. Also Legend of Grimrock, if the price drops. I'm surprised it even has a story, much less a heart-rending one.

I haven't beat LA Noire, but none of those compare to the games I mentioned, in terms of sadness. Maybe try one of them, if you'd like to broaden your game experiences (unless you already have and were just unaffected.)
