Somebody know a decent tower defense game?

2d td with multi but like warcraft which was a 3d game?

I guess bloons tower defence 5

edit: tower wars and anomaly 2 are both good multi tds but they are pvp. sol survivor is a good traditional co-op td.
All of these are on steam except for bloons

Warcraft 3, Yay. But, you could try Defense Grid: The Awakening, although, it's not MP. It was super fun, but got too hard for me.

Well, I dunno about 2D, but some action 3rd person ones: Dungeon Defenders and Orcs Must Die 2 (first one is SP only).

Its not 2D, but Defense Grid is a great TD game and its frequently dirt cheap. Sometimes even free.

Dota 2. Jk, only one I really like is Bloons TD, and that's just an online flash game.

I mean, as close to WC3 without being WC3 would probably be the TD maps on Starcraft 2 Arcade, which is basically exactly the same, if a bit more advanced. Multiplayer is a guaranteed feature.

Honorary mention goes to Dwarf Fortress, which has all the maps you could ever want and you can build towers and mazes however you like. There are mods for different races as well. It may not quite be a tradition tower defense but it could almost be played as such. The only downside would be, it's single player only.

Defense Grid the awakening is a very good TD game. Anomaly warzone earth is also good but you have to attack instead of defending.
Dungeon Defenders and Sacntum are TD but you are in the middle of the action like fps.
A good shot are Defenders Quest and Plants vs Zombies

2D great TD - Defenders Quest, I loved it, was on sale on steam last days.

Factorio is a great one blends lots of features together

Defenders Quest is a bit of a less complicated TD, but it's pretty good. It's not a ton like Warcraft, but I found it to be both the most compelling and the most functional TD game I've played in years. It has no multiplayer though, which might be a deal breaker.

Defender's Quest and Prime World: Defenders are the best ones on Steam that I can think of.
If you have an Android device, Fantasica is really good, its card based though.

Well all I know is that my all time favorite tower defense game is the first Toy Soldiers. And I hate tower defense games because they can tend to be repetitive so, that really means something.

The only thing that came to my mind is Sanctum. But it's not 2D, however.

BTW, StarCraft 2 Starter Edition now includes access to the full Arcade Mode where you have a bunch of good tower defenses and plenty of other (fun) maps.

Sol survivor. Though there is no maze building involved. The creeps' route is predetermined.

Try out Bloons TD (ninjakiwi)

Yeah you're shooting bloons, but it can be quite challenging and fun. You can also play multilayer (Bloons TD Battles) and send bloons to enemy player, gaining income. Or last man standing, buying income tickets. Very similar to Line tower wars except that you don't maze. It is definitely worth checking out.

well it's sad that maze building is mandatory for you, the best MP tower defense I've played is Sol Survivor (on Steam), it's also technically 3d (top down), it only lacks maze building, but there is still a lot of strategy to be had (and honestly maze building is usually straight forward, it's more fun than anything else).

Otherwise try Super Sanctum TD, the other Sanctum titles are 3D, no MP though (Sanctum 1/2 do however)
