The only time I accrue 300 points in a couple hours is right when a new bundle hits.

I Don't know which website you're using, but i've NEVER EVER had 300 points in a couple of hours, the only thing i have noticed (and actually like since it keeps the forums/site alive that during big sales points tend to accumulate faster, but still it would take at least 10 hours

just use them for games you want, you dont have to spend them all

I think he point generation rate is good as it is. It has been higher (I think 10% of the giveaway's value or something like that) but it has been reduced already. If you spend your points wisely, you can enter all the giveaways you want and not waste any point. And even if they are going to waste, that's nothing too horrible. Points are generated constantly, you'll never run out of them.

I don't know if this is discussed or explained somewhere, and if it is i'm sorry, please let me know.
But with this system in SteamGifts, I can have 300p in a couple of hours. This ability makes no need for this point thing at all.
So, wouldn't it be better if points are given for example 1% of the price instead of 5% ? So people would tend to spend points only for the games they really want.
