I was looking for my N64 for my History 90's Decade project. I was looking for it and asked my dad if he knew where it was. He told me he didn't know. Then later I ask him again, and then he tells me he threw it out because it was a useless piece of garbage. I'm pretty mad right now... I lost Super Mario 64, Mario Party, Mario Kart 64, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Mario Tennis, Goldeneye, my controllers... ..everything... I'm kinda mad right now.

You know, I still play my N64, sometimes I play N64 because of my favorite game, Ogre Battle 64, I consider this game my precious and I would get really mad if my father did the same with the precious. Well, I feel sorry for you dude.

Make him pay to replace it. File a lawsuit if he refuses.

Aside from how crappy a situation that is, I wonder what kind of jerk throws something like that in working condition into the garbage? If it works, why not donate it to charity at least?

Thirty years from now, when you're a rich business magnate, your father will come to you. He will ask you for something; money, a favor, something.

You will laugh.

Why you mad, he probably paid for all of it.
Hell, he may have even sold them on CL or eBay.
Wouldn't that be neat?

My dad did something like that to me years ago. When I was studying out of town, months later I came back to visit my home, and then I found that all my toys (Transformers, cars, etc...) that I have collected for years during my childhood (and in really great shape, most of them in their original cases) disappeared from my room. When I asked, I was told that he threw them away long ago. I was speechless, then angry and sad... :(

When I asked why, he got angry and found the question stupid... -_-

i would point out how each one of those toys is worth several hundred dollars.

exactly/ it's not stupid anymore when you piss away potentially 10's of 1000s of dollars in the toilet.

I must say that I've been lucky to catch my dad red-handed trying to throw my psx and n64 (well the n64 was already in the trash bin). the only thing is that it was when we were still using it (late 90s, 00s I don't remember exactly), and we (me and my brother) had to fight for it for at least one hour to get it back to our room.
After listening to his side of story, he throwed those out just because we made him wait when we were called to eat >_<.
edit: to make you feel good you'll laugh it off in 10 years or so, that's the good thing with time passing by

Go on craigslist or to a garage sale, or ebay, or good will N64 sold millions, they aren't hard to find.

Murder him (not really). Threw it away, huh. I'd be completely furious. I'd find some way to get back at him for that. Legal way that is. Seriously. Don't actually murder your father for that. haha

I have never seen that before (no cable) but that's pretty hilarious. But seriously. Murder is bad outside of video games.

Good show, most clips on on youtube also, actually never watched it on TV oddly enough.

I agree, murder is not a good thing.

NEVER leave your gaming stuff at home if you're going away for a period of time. Lock that shit up in a climate controlled storage locker at least.

(same thing happened to baseball cards and comics in years past)

I am so sorry for your loss. :( I'm thankful my sister would never ever let my father do that to our N64... it resides in her room safely and gets played somewhat regularly due to her constant need to replay games... and compare the 3ds version of Ocarina of time to the 64 version. Although I'd be more ticked about losing the SNES since I still like to play donkey kong country and super mario world.
I agree with the people saying get a new dad... one who has respect for your childhood (and hopefully still has held on to their own inner child).
