Yeah, that was the problem, Incredibly Depressing! And me, who wouldn't mind sad and drama movies but this one... ugh! She was just moaning and whining at the end too much and not in a good way either!

The Day the Earth Stopped - Thought it was "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (which already had bad reviews), but this was horrible. I watched it on Fast Forward and it was still bad.

Watch the original 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' from 1951.

Agree. Also want to say that the classic sci-fi movies from 1950s are really nice. Okay, they look funny today, but damn, they're something incredible. A must see for a sci-fi fan.

It was a great movie, GTFO now I hate you because of your opinion!!!!

Actually there were two movies with similar names made about the same time with the basics being identical. One was big budget and the other was just plain horrible. I've not seen the first one, and I walked off from the other when it just got too stupid, such as the WWII pilot flying in, in the middle of an alien invasion.

Plotline etc.-boring, yes. But I thought the cinematography was excellent.

I'll give you that. But I watch movies for the plot, not the special effects, etc. It's like video games. Sure, graphics matter, but gameplay and story are far more important.

Agreed with the graphics and all. Yeah, on the whole, Hugo certainly wasn't one of my favorites either

Monsters (2010)

Pretentious and boring pile of crap

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I disagree. Maybe you expected some "regular" monster movie and were disappointed like other people but Monsters is more like intimate melodrama with a slight sci-fi background, much closer to Drive than Avatar.

"Bad Ass"...such a shame that Danny Trejo played in this piece of crap

I'd say none. Have one rule about bad movies - I watch them to the end regardless how bad they are. Then I can lambast them with no regrets. And they usually are so unwittingly funny.

+1 for The Last Airbender.

I had no intention of watching it, but my brother (who never saw the series) wanted to see it. It was so horrible. How do you mess that up.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I don't know. It was really hard to mess up the movie, but they pulled it off. Not only did they decide to not have actors that look anything like the characters they were portraying, but they decided to have two guys that looked the same even. If I were to only complain about what matters most, I would say the acting, scripting, and plot were also horrible. Amazing how the plot somehow was terrible when all the hard work was already done for the series, why couldn't they follow the series? Kinda like Dragon Ball, forgot about that one. That was another disaster.
