Light me with your knowledge - A question about referral sites

So guys, I'm a real noob at this point, but I really wanted to ask about all of these referral sites around the internet.
Do they really work or they're just some bullshit to make us lose our precious time?

Which ones do you mean? The share your referral link ones seem to be BS, because they then require you to complete some survey which never works.
There are others (i.e Tremorgames) where you do other types of surveys for points, and a lot of them work. I've gotten about 7 Steam games, a HB, and $20 wallet code off one particular site.

I know some of them work (Tremor is just awesome), but I meant the most generic ones like SteamGamesNetwork or steamgames4free. They seem pretty fake.

In my experience,

Referral links = bullshit.

Sites that give points for completing surveys have usually worked for me.

And never believe the "testimonials" good choice for asking somewhere else.
