Well, I've played a couple of them on my alt's kids' accounts. ;-)

I want to try to teach them not to be completionists...I'm sure it will backfire.

For some reason, many games don't seem to hold my attention like they used to - and my previous desire to 100% a game has fallen off the metaphorical wagon :-( Throw in the fact that many of my beloved HOG games can't be 100% in one play-through (addition of extra games like mahjong instead of traditional hidden object scenes) . Anyway, I've just decided to enjoy a game until I don't enjoy it and move on - life is too short and I have a lot of games to try.... As an aside, I do sometimes go back and replay some games

I have a few SG wins in my backlog in the category of, "will play, but am not setting out to finish." However, these are games without achievements, so that makes it easier. I'll play them until I feel like stopping.

I totally understand you.
In my first year I practically entered in everything, and so I have a lot games and dlcs (maybe 80-100) that I'm not really interested and perhaps I will never play them. Let's call it a leecher fever.
Some of them are even free today, such as Heaven Island - VR MMO and other crappy ones.
Now I use an opposite approach. I only enter for bundled games giveaways that I'm really interested (occasionally some with more value such as GTA or Fallout) and usually I'm always close to 300 points.
So after that start, I will never be in peace with my won list, but I could try a Karma train too ^^

Times sure have changed! You can't even make giveaways for Beta keys anymore!

Like many of us, I like to play my wins, and tend to give them priority in my backlog.
However also like many of us, in my earlier SG days, I entered (and won) a number of giveaways that looking back I regret. They are games that for one reason or another I don't want to playβpossibly without even trying them. In my case, as an avowed completionist, I've also fallen into the trap of not playing a game if I know I won't be able to get many achievements for it, decreasing my "completion percentage." Sigh.
In any event, this small train contains some games I've won on Steamgifts but have either not played or haven't played much for one reason or another. Maybe you'll find something you like here.
EDIT:
There were a couple other games that could have been in this list/train. I won The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II and later acquired a key for it. I played it up until I would have unlocked the first (of many) achievements. But I gave the game to a Steam friend who wanted to play co-op with his son, so I already regained some karma there. The other game was rFactor, but I haven't been able to trade for a key to add to this train...and besides, I might give it a go anyway. =)
Cheers.
