It's just a browser extension with a lot of useful features such as direct links to a user's SG or SteamRep profile, lowest current prices of games on the Steam store, if it's in a bundle etc. If someone is a proven scammer you will see a red message on their profile as Mullins posted just above my comment. Very handy if you're a trader or just looking for a good deal on a game.
