It's kinda old, but I loved this: https://store.steampowered.com/app/384570/Zanzarah_The_Hidden_Portal/

This game looks cute, but became an Epic exclusive. I'm not sure if or when it'll come to Steam, but it may interest you.

Oh wow it does look super cute! I am already interested just from looking at the preview screenshots, but sucks that it dropped the ball and became an Epic exclusive :/
This is definitely going onto my wishlist though, thank you for letting me know!

Yeah, I'm hoping it'll come over to Steam sometime (hopefully sooner than later) but I might have to get it on Epic if there's a good deal on it. I have finally started playing games there since there've been some free games I was super excited about. :P

I personally like to keep all my games in one place only and it just does not feel the same when I own a game that is not on Steam lol, it is probably one of those "I will just sign with Epic for a 1 year exclusivity deal and then Steam can have it after" type of thing, so I wouldn't mind to wait it out hahaha

Yeah, same. It's much more convenient to have them all on Steam, and yeah it just doesn't feel as nice not owning it on Steam, I agree, haha.

I love monster taming games, but most of the ones I thought of are already recommended here, haha. But yeah, Siralim looks like it hasn't been mentioned as much, but makes sense because it's a little deeper than Pokemon, I would say. Getting your teams built up perfectly takes a bit of work, but it is satisfying. I have over 100 hours in Ultimate, but I haven't played in a bit.

It definitely screams 'in-depth technical pokemon' even just from the screenshots on Siralim Ultimate hahaha, while I am definitely not against more strategic RPGs, for now I am leaning towards more of a casual game. Thank you for the recommendations regardless though!

There definitely is a wave of older or even retro games that began to appear on Steam recently, and with them quite a lot of Pokemon-type games too from what I've noticed.
Also, price is definitely a big issue too hahaha, but out of the games you have played on Steam so far (which is a Pokemon-like JRPG) do you have any recommendations?

Perhaps Slime Rancher?
Though I see it's already in your library. It has been keeping me busy this whole weekend :D
Catch slimes. Makes some new versions. And it is definitely amazingly good for your mental state.

Oh man I gotta thank you for reminding me that I still have this game in my library which I haven't played yet. I've heard nothing but good things about the game but I never really tried to actually play it (most of the time I just forgot about it when playing some other games lol. Still gotta try the game out first but I think this might be it!

I've been trying to think of a game I should play casually recently, and a pokemon-like game feels like the perfect genre when I want to play a cute little RPG where I can just casually shut off my brain and do whatever the hell I want. So far I've got both Nexomon games and the one Digimon game on Steam, but the Nexomon games felt a tad bit toooo simple, while Digimon feels like a bigger time investment and not really the type of game I wanted to play casually.
So, any recommendations? (preferably on steam)
Aand since it is getting close to Lunar New Year on February 1st, why don't I do a little giveaway to celebrate it? It's one of those "the prequel and the sequel are well-known, but I have never heard about this game" type of games, but you know--one man's trash is another man's treasure! [LVL 5+]
A 'simple' bot check - remove all the numbers and rename the game title correctly with alphabets!
