My middle-school teacher once told me I'm gonna be a famous artist after my death so I've got it covered. I used to be really into "painting" 3 years ago! And I've made a rose of my own! Nah, those are pretty much the pinnacle of my "work". The only GIFs I've made anyway.

What size are your gifs? In terms of amount of pixels, because I am kinda hesitant to do more detailed stuff and only do big, chunky pictures as they require less work and are a bit more tricky at the same time since every pixel has to be placed good to make it work.
I'm nowhere close to anything good as your stuff yet, but I am fascinated by stuff like the picture below.
I am actually thinking about learning to program a bit to make a cheap sidescroller point & click thing just to use that stuff. I already have a little soundtrack put together for my imaginary game. :D

Bookmarked! Thank you! This looks perfect! I admit I cheated a little already, using some sort of online photoshop (Pixlr Editor) drawing figures there and pixelating them afterwards, adding details with Piskel (also an online tool) and I figured it would be much easier this way.
I wondered if those delicate gradients in some backgrounds were handmade or just pixelated/edited. This answers my question! :)

I thought about making a thread like this! But about pixel art in particular since I'm trying to work my way in there since I discovered Piskel, but it turned out to be harder than I expected D:
I occasionally draw or paint to pass some time, but I used to be much more focused on it years ago. Those are my lucky tries that turned out to be good and that I am proud of. I'd be lying if I wouldn't mention that I used inspiration for some.
I like your drawings! Never been good with pencils, since I've drawn mostly during class I got used to a ballpen.
First one, that spawned the second image as well, is actually something I want to paint, but I'm hesitant because I will probably mess it up.

I created this thread because I'm jealous of people with amazing artistic ability. When I was looking to fulfill my art requirement in college, I decided to pick up a drawing class. Mind you, I've never taken an art class or even drawn in my life... The professor said I'd have a really hard time because I was the only one who hadn't had years of experience creating art. Turns out it was one of my favorite classes I took.
Don't take this as a way of me bragging by any means... I just want to see what everyone else can do with a pencil, paintbrush, charcoal, etc. Here are some of the sketches I did for the class. I'd say I spent anywhere from 2-4 hours on most of them.
