Simple question for all you forum-dwellers: what's the worst port of a game you've ever played?

For me, it's Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP on PC. I just recently downloaded an Android port, and it plays much, much smoother than it did on my laptop (then again, my laptop wasn't exactly made for gaming). The controls seemed sluggish on the computer (especially for fighting the Gold Trigon), and I don't recall hearing much of the games incredible score, even with headphones. If the Steam version didn't have Achievements, I probably wouldn't play it again anytime soon.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition for the PC. The first nearly unplayable port I've played.

Resident Evil 5 I couldn't get more than 15 minutes in...I should probably retry with a controller...

Is 5 really that bad? I was considering picking it up during the summer sale if it goes down and I can't afford 6 or Revelations.

It's fine imo, the controls are a bit clunky at times.

I just got annoyed by the controls, like why do I need to set 1 key to zoom in and a different key to zoom out for example. It doesn't have the keybinding customization I would like to have given it's on PC.

I had a great time playing it, no issues at all, you should definitely try it.

Dark Souls is horrible if you don't install DSfix and DSMfix.

Worst port? I'd have to say Dead Rising 2. The worst thing that can happen is not being able to play a game you paid for.

Resident Evil 5 since it wasmeant to be only a console game and was simply ported to PC without modifications. I was annoyed that you cannot aim and move at the same time.

It wasn't a console thing. It as a design choice and frankly, I loved it. It really helped to make it different.
I refuse to buy a Resident Evil game without it.

Battlefield 3 on Xbox or Ps3. It just felt like the character was "too heavy". Good game tho.

Wish I had a better computer to run it tho

Same thing on PC. The aiming is laggy, clunky and imprecise. The game is insanely buggy.

If BF3 had bad graphics, it would be a horribly criticized game and would get 60 on Metacritic.

lol laggy aim. more like user error. near 400 hours played and not once has the aim felt laggy. are u playing multiplayer with Vsync on or something?

GTA 4 due the fact that it doesn't support win 7 and Dark Souls. Both is a great game. But GTA 4 Lags REALLY bad on compatibility mode. And Dark soul's just. I don't even know how to parry til i got to undead parish. Good thing some good guys made a fix for most problem.

Oh boy, hard decision :))) GTA IV / L.A. Noire / Need For Speed Most Wanted (the new one) / Saints Row 2. Not sure which one was worst.
And I also have a special list which includes basically every single Capcom action game I played. FFS, those guys really don't get it that PCs use keyboard? :|

It's a tie between Skyrim and Just Cause 2. Whatever the fuck they did with the mouse in Skyrim and the negative mouse acceleration in JC2 made them completely unplayable for me (I can't stand any game that fucks with the mouse, and ports just seem to love doing that).
The only good port I've ever seen was Saints Row the Third (and the Mass Effect series, but that was due to heavy coalesced.ini editing and because I loved the story so much (up to ME3's ending ofc)).

Did I ever say that it doesn't work? I said its negative mouse acceleration kills it for me. (If) you don't know what that is, check here: Youtube link

My PC is 5 years old and I run everything till today on max settings :P
The problem with GTA is not that it runs bad or slow, it's that it has glitches, bugs, and tons of graphical artifacts.
Driving on a street and ending up in the air, buildings popping out from nowhere, character getting stuck in the walls of falling through the map and so on.
Other than that it run just fine with 60FPS.
