Didn't the dev say he would just make the game free for a day if he couldn't get his key request accepted?
Figured that would be easier, even if it reduces his potential future sales from 0 to 0.

Yes he certainly did, but 1 day wouldn't be enough. At least he could make it free for a week or a couple of days just like the "Evolvation" Dev
Though it's not an ideal solution, cuz it favors peeps who didn't buy the game in the first place, and others who actually bought it and will miss the free promo are screwed.
The damage is already done and I see no redemption for this at all.
Let's be reasonable, the game itself isn't worth the hassle anyway

This sets a bad precedent even if the game is worthless.
I don't want to go back to a world where we rent games for a few weeks and have them removed from our account.

lol I remember the 80's xD
edit: and yes I totally agree about the precedent. That's why I reported the game on steam and try to be vocal about this because I don't want it to happen again to anyone else. =)

Glory to the Devs! How dare we peasants ever question their motives!?
Dev Vult! xD

Step 1: Make satirical joke about developer's ability to lie and not be able to repay the customers.
Step 2: Get community ban with a reason "Ye okay."
Step 3: Wait for Steam to ban the developer and the game.
Update: My community ban was lifted, but zero answer / reaction to the developer from Steam Support. Meh.

Lol, indiegala actually paid the developer, he just decided he should have earned a little more

I won that game here a year ago, what do i do now?

Not sure to be honest. Probably ask support what happens in this kind of situation.
EDIT... Mine was from the groupees bundle so I'll give the replacement key if they provide me one.

I've received my replacement key from IndieGala's support (on e-mail), I recommend everybody to do the same and send them a message from the e-mail that the bundle was bought from or gifted to. If you've received key only and not the properly gifted bundle/game, you won't get a replacement.
In my case I've got it in a group buy (as I do with every IG bundle), they didn't make any problems as the gift was sent on my e-mail.

Once again a crap game in a crap bundle gets revoked, glad I don't buy them, this seems shady as hell I think there needs to be some sort of limit on how long you have to report and revoke keys. There is no way I would wait a year before asking to get what I'm owed and revoking keys to people who actually paid for them, and it seems like they made no attempt to even resolve it before they revoked. They should not get any money if they were able to remove said product from the people who actually paid for it, instead of going after IndieGala itself.
All I know is something smells fishy, and it's not last nights special. This is akin to buying something from Wal-mart, them not paying their supplier, then tracking down as many people as they can who bought said items, and have it repoed. The consumer is not to blame or at fault, you just bit the hand that feeds you, and I would never buy a product from them again, so they will never get paid a sale from me ever again.
They clearly needed to collect from those who did not pay them, not take away from those who did actually pay for said item. Granted they had the right to do so, but IMO a very poor decision and even worse statement on blaming Indiegala while taking away a product someone paid for in good faith.

Much to my surprise, found a notification on my Groupees account today...
Replacement steam keys for Urban War Defense have been added.
Good on somebody to get it corrected the most correct way possible in the wake of sheer stupidity.
My key had been revoked from Groupees's Build a Greenlight Bundle 7.
Now, I can continue to ignore the game in my library, but with more ignoring than before.

I got revoked, but no idea which bundle it was from.
Edit: Both IndieGala and Groupees keys were revoked.
