There have been rumors that this game would be taken off the store ... well, I hope you got your copy during the recent sale, because now it indeed is gone.

Good thing I bought myself a copy. Too bad I didn't buy more copies.

Yep, did indeed buy one. Now, time to let it rot in my inventory until it's actually worth trading away :p

No, it is very far away from being good.

It's also very far away from being the worst possible option.

I bought a copy of this for a giveaway train thing I was planning. But I notice I can't now make a giveaway for it. I'm assuming support could add it back to the list if it was requested, but would they be likely to? Out of curiosity would I get CV for it? Or would it be best to trade it for something else?

damn... should have made GAs while I could... XD
I bought 2 copies just for that, but now I'm thinking if I maybe should just keep it - one for me and one for trading...

If you make a ticket support might well add it back to the list, they've done it for me before. You get the CV amount from when the game was removed so it would be $20/20 points to enter if they do it.

I haven't yet. It is still in my inventory, I was going to give people a chance to trade for it if they missed out first. I don't know if anyone else has made a ticket yet.

I bought one copy. Pretty happy I did, it might be worth a few keys in time.

I usually don't listen to these rumors but thankfully I did this time and got myself 2 extra copies :D

This game s*cks by the way. Goodluck selling this game for 100 keys. It's not Mafia.

It doesn't matter if it;s good. If it gets to the point where there's only a handful of gifts left there'll be someone who'll pay to have it in their library. It just happens that two of the better known examples: Wolfenstein and Mafia are generally well recieved games.

Well, what matters is people desire. I didn't buy myself a copy because it's not a game I want. Will never trade it for a key, not even 10 cards... but if it was a game I wanted, I would trade for sure. The game SAW is an example. It's not in the store anymore and if I didn't have bought it for myself, I would trade anything for it. Some people might not find it good, but I think it's awesome and it's one of my favorites.

Wow, that sucks so much I didn't know about this before :| I would have bought a few copies at least (one for myself and a few for "rare" giveaways in the future).

MEH. They should announce such things! It would boost sales!

Afaik there was an announcement, I read it in some thread here on SG. Don't beat me to it where exactly though...

It is up to the publisher on whether or not the game is about to get removed. This game popped up on sale and reddit posted on their game deal subreddit. It was there were folks began digging since there was no reason for the sale (Disney games never go for that cheap) and it was decided that the best guess was removal. The reason being that it was 7 years to the day since launch and Disney no longer owns the rights to the franchise.

It was exactly 10 years since the first film came out.

The thing is that, what most people don't understand from this whole game removed from Steam deal is that most games won't skyrocket in price just because the game is no longer available, especially now that more and more games are getting removed. It's true that it's value might go up a bit, but definitely not as much as some people tend to assume.

For a game to skyrocket in price, it needs to be either famous or infamous, and its removal needs to be unexpected.

This. It all about supply and demand. Expected removals will always have tons of buyers = a lot of supply.

No matter what, you're going to be getting more for it than you bought it for though.

At least there was a sale before the remove, so it was nice from Disney :)

I read about that and grabbed a copy while it was on sale, just in case. I'm not expecting to get rich from it, but it might make a nice treat for someone down the line. And if nothing else, it got a lot of positive comparisons to the LoTR games on PS2, which I had a lot of fun with.
