Looks like a really cool riff on the Stardew Valley genre. And I'm well into my first playthrough in the Valley, and having a blast so making it prehistoric sounds awesome.

It works well with the genre though. In Stardew Valley you have to wait for your skills to catch up so you can employ techniques that have been around for centuries. Makes more sense if they are literally being discovered as you progress in the game.
I do get what you mean from an aesthetics perspective though.
It's cool that they are still working on it, implementing new stuff and ironing out the kinks though.
So many games are going extinct from the moment they can pass as finished enough to make money.
And it's really cool they are fighting for it. It already went way farther than most kickstarter games usually do.
One thing I wished they had improved on from Stardew Valley, and it would have made even more sense here, is to have children grow up and take over. They could have gone further than just you know... marriage and kids growing to be teenagers.

Edit: By nasty mood I was just referring to how tricky some questions were(like the citrus feeding task and tuning with nature question - btw that one was ingenious with the SG reference, yet required some specific and humorous approach to the task based on a single, easy to omit source[many different sources suggested alternate answers]). I specially said that it was Capyclara's doing(to emphasize that it's just a humorous remark on difficulty without hints) and directly thanked for all the hints which were an obvious effort to make the puzzle as accessible to anyone as possible

So, let's summarize some things that we learned today about me I guess, only as a result of... me trying to make something fun and cozy for this "community" instead of just boring-ass regular GAs (after winning which like 30% of you can't even say a simple "thanks"), and putting my best effort and heart into it. Not just something fun and cozy, but something that also includes 5 fucking GAs for all your "trouble". So let's see:
- I am mean, un-cozy and exclusionary for making such long puzzle. And I make people leave the thread for good, for asking "them" to stop with the unnecessary negativity.
- I was in a nasty mood while making the puzzle and I'm also angry.
- The puzzle has some dubious turns (without specifying anything about these "dubious turns" until directly confronted, and after being confronted, painting me like I'm begging for some forced praise).
- I'm a liar because the puzzle is actually too hard despite me initially stating that it's easy (apparently answering 5 easily googleable questions, solving a small jigidi, staring at a pic for two minutes and figuring out what the fuck is an emoji is too hard now).
- No, seriously, the puzzle is too long. Hard to disagree with this, after all having a puzzle with like 2.5 questions/mini-tasks per a GA is really way too many.
Does this check out for y'all? I guess it does despite my track record in the thread and in the community and the intentions and efforts I put in this particular "event". I hope I didn't forget anything, but feel free to add some more of such fair and well-deserved criticisms. I won't be reading them though, cause I'm done with y'all. This was the last straw btw, there's much more about the bigger SG community that is just... Yeah no, I'm not gonna swear and rant no more, we're a such a nice and positive thread after all, right? Bye.
P.S. Needless to say that I won't be maintaining the thread any longer as I'm not coming back here. So whoever feels like it can re-open it and do a better job at everything I was trying to do with this "community" for the past 7 months. I'm sure you will. Good luck.

Not sure if you're referring to me with this but I somehow feel like you do since at least one of your other points clearly refers to someone else's comment that was pretty harmless in a similar vein in my eyes as well. For the record, this was my statement:

That's not calling you a liar. I am not sure what's going on in your life that led to this and you deleting your giveaways but I sure hope it gets better soon. I hold no ill will towards you and I also thanked you for the puzzle and the giveaways just in case you forgot. And I kinda feel like the same is true for most of the other people you are referring to, at least the ones I witnessed.
I appreciate the effort that went into making the puzzles. Solving them was fun for the most part and the theme was successfully cozy. Without the additional hints, some of the parts wouldn't have been solvable for me though and apparently for quite a few others as well, so that was the only "criticism" from my end which was already mitigated by you giving those additional hints.

Aw, really? That's sad... It was somewhat hard (figuring out what kind of thing to look out for is hard!) but I was having a lot of fun thinking about the questions. I was ready to open the form again and keep trying... I know when a puzzle is hard people will ask for tips and it can feel overwhelming, but you have the right to make them puzzles as hard as you want, since it's your giveaway and people can try it for free and all. I'm sorry things went badly. I hope my "citrus-blindness" comment didn't add to the pile of bad stuff ^^'

Let me also say some things... sorry for my English, it's my first time to write so much, but I tried to make some sense.
I have noticed lately that we have lost our patience. Why people? In an event that lasted 10 days, why is there such a rush? Why are we no longer enjoying the journey?
I'm very sorry for what happened.
Due to insomnia I've been having for the past few days, I sat down and sorted it all out. Over time, I have developed some skills to solve similar puzzles. There are also quite a few that I can't solve or are beyond my capabilities. It's ok. I had told TB* that it is more likely that I will not take part in the final wonderful and very generous giveaway. It is now my final decision.
*I don't like to talk about some things, but I want to make them clear. TB and I are friends on Steam... at least for now. He offered to help me, but I declined. Not because I consider myself smart or anything, I just don't think such tactics are fair to the other members. Besides, there was already enough hints along the way, and if I got stuck somewhere, I had the option to ask here, I think that was clear from the beginning.

Awww. I couldn't solve the puzzle, but felt no need to comment on it. What an unfortunate, yes, tragic!, turn of events. This was my favorite thread of them all, and you one of my favorite people on SG.

I don't think a puzzle ruins the cozy vibe or anything. After all, if one doesn't want to solve it, they can just ignore and move on. I personally was looking ahead to work on this one during the weekend :(
I feel like most of us here are grateful and don't mind a puzzle to break the monotony of GA links. Just like in real life, there will always be a small cluster of folks who will whine and complain about things, even if they are going great. I have no clue what was said, but i hope you don't make too much of it.
I hope you do come back whenever you feel like it. I can understand it must have gotten annoying seeing whiny/negative messages directed at u over time.
When I think about the positives of using SG, i think of you and this thread. Cz I won a couple gibs here as a newbie, but most importantly I shared a pic of my stray doggie during an event! While also enjoying intimate captures of other people's cute pets!💙
As a not-so-online person who is new to forums such as SG. Had i not participated here, I probably would have abandoned SG during that nascent time. I can't believe what I read. I was REALLY enjoying your puzzle. I mean, yes, I was stuck, but still enjoying it because you put a lot of love into it. You spent a plent of time working on it and making sure everything worked, and what now...? Sadly, I can relate to your words.
Sometimes things go overboard and we can't deal with the things being thrown at us, and even if they're lies, completely unfair, we can't let them pass, they hurt. And they hurt so much that we make the only decisions we can, mostly to protect ourselves.
Certainly I think those words you talk about are completely undeserved and coming mostly from a minory.
I still respect your decision and I hope that, despite leaving the thread, you'll find joy in other stuff. You've done a more than an excellent job with giving us cozyness. I hope our ways will cross again.

I am distraught and saddened by your decision to leave, TB. You've created something truly special here over the past 7 months and the closest thing to a real community that I've come across on SG. It would be shame to see it all go to waste. I loved visiting this thread for the daily dose of positivity, wholesomeness and Capy/Feline goodness. The occasional gibs were a nice bonus on top. Filling the big shoes you leave behind will be a tall order.
I understand your frustration. It must be demoralizing to pour your heart into a project only to be greeted by a constant stream of criticism and negativity. I can't help but think that it's partly our fault for not letting you know how much we appreciate all the effort that you put into this puzzle, and in general. Maybe an outpouring of thanks would've taken the edge of the few prickly comments that ruined your mood. No matter what, I hope you realize that a large contingent of us love you and appreciate you, even if we don't always do a good job of verbalizing it.
I worry that you've already made your choice and maybe even deleted your SG account. In any event, no matter what the future holds, I hope that it leads you to the peace and happiness that you're seeking.

From what I could piece together by reading the various comments, it seemed such a fun puzzle! (capybaras and a jigidi puzzle!? sounds awesome! <3 ) and a bit of a challenge (if it really was somewhat that hard) is what makes it worth it after all... the harder the puzzle, the greater the satisfaction when you finally solve it! Such a pity things went this badly!
I'm truly sorry for what happened, and even though probably no one really wanted to let you down (or at least I hope so, but I'm probably missing something from deleted comments...), I totally understand your decision to leave (hopefully not forever, but if that's your final decision I hope you'll find the cozyness and positivity you deserve elsewhere!), after all there's no point in keeping what should be a cozy, relaxing, positive place if it ends up being the exact opposite for you, bringing only stress and frustration.

Not sure if you'll ever read this or not, but know that there are people in the community that appreciated your effort to make this place a little bit better with a cozy little corner. I was going to post about that, I've been playing a bit on the XBox (it's also available on Windows via gamepass) and i've been enjoying it. I'm still unsure about the gameplay (controls and mechanics) but otherwise the story, graphics, ambience,... are superb.

Let me clarify. I'm not asking anyone to contribute if they can't. For the longest time I have been on this site, I have had similar difficulties and I completely understand.
But the thread was made for everyone. Anyone who wants to can upload a beautiful picture, or a song, or a game that caught their attention. And they don't require English either, for those of us who have trouble. :)

Everyone is welcome to join me in making GAs for games that fit the theme. No strict guidelines, use your own discretion when deciding if the game is good for this thread. In general, fitting games usually have one or more of these tags on Steam: Relaxing / Family Friendly / Cozy / Wholesome / Cute / Comedy; and here are some tags that these games usually don't include: Violent / Gore / Survival / Psychological Horror / Hentai / Dark / War / Military / Dystopian (these are just some examples of some of the most popular tags).
