Wouldn't say that it is overall, mainly because of the gameplay, but it's definitely a "gives you good vibes" kind of game: funny and pretty light-hearted dialogues, not overly dramatic or heavy story, quirky characters, cute monsters, etc.

Another Calico, the tradition lives on. 😺 Thanks for the GA. 🌼

Sure looks cozy, and the painting-like graphics are beautiful, thanks.

Just a heads up to maybe use different symbols as a placeholder in URLs or no placeholders at all:
https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/j8Wbf0U
I know it's not that easy with the usual placeholders like * or _ also being forum code at the same time but at least those usually work for everyone in URLs.
Comment has been collapsed.
If you're having trouble with any in particular, just ask the GA author, I think these are mostly for bot protection, not to blow your mind from hardcore thonking, and tbh they're all pretty easy (I'm only talking about the ones that are/were posted in this thread ofc).

If you don't happen to know the answer directly, sometimes a simple Googe search can help:
https://www.google.com/search?q=Not+Marvel%2C+but+%5E%5E+Comics
Now find the two-letter name of a comic brand similar to Marvel but not Marvel itself. Then fill in those missing letters in the giveaway link and open it.
These are by the way more of an anti-bot measure than an actual puzzle. Kind of like a captcha: sometimes annoying but oftentimes necessary.
Comment has been collapsed.
Both the link and the hint have ^^ as a placeholder. That's the place where you have to put the two letters. And no: it's not 6 or even 9 characters long after you replace ^^ with the two letters. It's 5 characters, just like it should be: ^^E4C
If you reverse a 3, it looks like an E. So change that 3 to a lowercase e and you have the correct 5 characters for Calico.

Hover your mouse over the links and look at the bottom of your browser. There you should see how the link actually looks. Then right-click the link and choose "copy link". Then paste that link to the address bar and edit it accordingly before opening it.
"%5E" is the URL / HTML encoding of the symbol ^. Depending on OS, browser, language and text encoding format, these will show up / work or not, which is why these kind of special symbols are not the best choice for placeholders, but if you do it like I described, you should be able to get it to work.

looks like chrome shows %5E and firefox shows ^, at least thats what happens for me.

Nice tune, I gotta play the game some time. Actually, I have just installed PS2 emulator to play some GT4, so it could be rather sooner than later heh.

I still mention ICO as one of the best gaming experiences of my life. Once completed, I often repeated the last chapter just to see the last scene and listen to the credits song (You Were There).
I also got a PS2 emu to replay it, but it's been sitting there for years. Too many games, too little time.

Yeah, it was supposed to be a temporary thing to solidify the cats win and status as thread's mascot, I'm just being lazy with changing it cause every time you change the title the URL also changes, so all the links that lead to specific comments or exact part of the comments, break, and we have a bunch of these in the past events/GAs list and whatnot, so I'd have to change them all along with the title. Needless to say though that we don't discriminate in this thread and it is meant for everyone, and it wasn't ever implied that it's just for cats or cat lovers or whatever. Anyways, since you didn't just come to complain, but also brought something with you I pledge to change the title by the end of today.

Fair enough, after all the thread could only get cozier with more puppy pics.

If you right-click the "Permalink" and choose "copy link", you get a shortened URL that doesn't include the thread title and thus should work even after changing the title. Like this:

I see there is still a lot of interest for Calico 😸

Like Ellendyl, I too want to climb up the scoreboard.
So here's a short train to help my way to the top.
Little wordle for you guys to solve. Since you have as many tries as you want, it shouldn't be impossible to guess, might require some thonking though. 🐭
Games included:

Impressive start for you with the amount of GAs you've posted so far, although I still don't expect to get dethroned any time soon, not even by you. 😎
You actually made me try Wordle for the first time, took me embarrassingly long to have an aha moment about that word, but at first after randomly guessing the first couple of letters I thought it was a word for some Italian region or food or something. 🤓
Anyway, thanks for the GAs and the music (which I'll check out later).

Thank you so much :) SuchArt looks like so much fun, it's at the top of my wishlist! I play the 5-letter wordle almost everyday so I got it pretty fast 🙊 Very cool idea for a giveaway entry and nice music :D

I found this article where they have links for Wordle in a few other languages! I also play Globle almost every day and it's really helped me learn where a lot of countries are :)

Now I'm curious what kind of video is there to be made about Wordle. 🤓

Wordle letsplays, now I've seen it all haha. The dude seems chill though, I like his voice.

You are trying to determine the correct word. So you guess words in the first row.... The website will then color the letters:
Green = you have a correct letter AND it is also in its correct spot.
Orange = you have a correct letter but it is NOT in its correct spot and you must move it.
Grey = the letter is NOT in the word and needs to be eliminated from all future guesses.
Note that letters CAN be repeated. So, for example, EERIE is a possible word (I shudder when I think about trying to solve that!)
You get up to 6 guesses to find the correct word or the game ends.
Hints: Some letters are used more than other in English. So the vowels A and E have a higher percentage of chance to be in the word. Also letters (my opinion) s,r,c,t,l,h are favorites to try because they are in many words and can combine with other letters well (so if they are eliminated, those combinations are also eliminated which can be helpful to know).
There is an official Wordle game: there is only one word every day, it is always 5 letters in length, you CAN use the backspace if you change your mind on what you have typed (until you press enter).
THIS version of wordle lets users create their own words which can be of varied length (and even a combination of words put together).
Hopefully that is enough to get you started! :)

Spotted this today and thought I should let my fellow cozy gamers know :) The game looks really good and it's supposed to be inspired by games like Unpacking, which I adore.
Camper Van: Make it Home - Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CzduGn9Zr0
The game's launching its Kickstarter on April 5th. Not sure if a Kickstarter link is allowed here (likely not) but you can easily find it by just googling the game title... and no, I'm not affiliated with the game in any way.

Welllllllllllllll...
So I made my Townscaper giveaway without checking region restrictions. Which is not the first time it happens, but it's very rare as I keep my keys with their region restrictions. And I'm very sorry for the winner, a total mistake on my part. Which I'm going to fix right now, of course.
My excuses to all the participants, but here you have another chance.
(Instant karma seemed to work, because today I won a wishlisted game which resulted in a dupe key...)
Level 3+, running for more than one week, the second D is uppercase.

Ow, that's a lot of bad luck at once. I hope that was the last of it. But thanks for the GA.
I have a question though. Can you check key restrictions if the site who provides it, doesn't mention it? If that's not what you meant, just ignore me. =o)
Comment has been collapsed.
I check restrictions listed on SensualShakti's threads for bundles. She's pretty quick and accurate listing them, and people confirm the subs used in each bundle and region. Example: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/wikm1/humble-bundle-sim-ple-life
Big majority of my keys come from bundles, but anyway you can check yourself in SteamDB, if there is no more than one sub for your region, you can find it and check if it can be bought and/or activated in which countries:
https://steamdb.info/app/1291340/ -> https://steamdb.info/sub/622267/
However I admit my low knowledge and understanding about these things so I just rely on SensualShakti's bundle tables, and if in doubt, I ask on the thread or somewhere else for help and clarifications.

Here's one that looks super wholesome and cozy.
I have seen a lot of farming/exploring life sims but never one that took place in this setting. Plus I mean... who wouldn't want the chance of befriending a cute and fluffy mammoth??
Comment has been collapsed.
like a mix between Stardew Valley and Cozy Grove maybe?
I'd say that's about right. Maybe with more exploration, which is fine by me.
I'm loving the cozy feeling and the graphics and setting. I hope the game doesn't disappoint but how can it when you can ride an ostrich listening to this music?

Welcome to the Cozy Zone, the corner of SG dedicated to sharing and discussing cozy games. Get yourself a blanket, some hot chocolate or herbal tea, get comfy in your chair and enjoy the good vibes and the good gibs too.
I'm certain most of you are familiar with the concept of "cozy gaming/games" by now, but to avoid any confusion here are some excerpts I stole from articles written by people who are better with words than me, which should give you the idea:
Links: 1 2 3 4
With that out of the way and skipping the whole "in these hard times we all need more cozy time in our lives" preamble (heh), let's get straight to what the Cozy Zone is
supposed to beabout:❣ My giveaways of cozy games. To be honest (at first) I just needed a place for my next gibs, as it so happened that I was in possession of some amount of keys for this particular type of games, but instead of going with just another one-time train I decided to make it an ongoing thread. So
for nowthe plan is to do GAs for this thread with games of the cozy kind on a somewhat regular basis.✽ Your giveaways of cozy games. Everyone is welcome to join me in making GAs for games that fit the theme. No strict guidelines, use your own discretion when deciding if the game is good for this thread. In general, fitting games usually have one or more of these tags on Steam: Relaxing / Family Friendly / Cozy / Wholesome / Cute / Comedy; and here are some tags that these games usually don't include: Violent / Gore / Survival / Psychological Horror / Hentai / Dark / War / Military / Dystopian (these are just some examples of some of the most popular tags). In any case, if a game seems cozy enough to you, feel free to give it away. Just make your GAs private (aka invite-only).
Special Cats tag exception: as a result of the FCDSCGC-2023 event, cats were proclaimed the mascot animal of our thread and thus any game that has a 'Cats' tag on Steam is allowed to be given away here, whether it's cozy or not.
Every active giveaway will be featured in the OP (if I'm around at the time it's running).
☯ General discussion of cozy games. Random cozy games discoveries, thoughts on latest games you've played, discounts alerts and everything else related to games of the cozy kind.
◒ Recommendations for cozy games. Do share your favorite games, well known or not. Hidden gems are especially welcome though, cause many niche games often go largely unnoticed.
✧ Cozy events. So, events have become a semi-regular occurrence in our thread, and I'm looking to make them an integral part of the Cozy Zone experience moving forward. If you want to host an event in the thread which requires some coordination or have an idea for a future event, please contact me on Steam; otherwise, feel free to post your cozy trains, celebratory GAs, puzzles and whatnot at any time. You can also contribute by either partially or fully sponsoring the prize pool and/or by donating cozy games for events (as I might struggle to fully cover these prize/GAs-wise on my own, so some help is always appreciated; again, contact me for this).
If you wish to just bump the thread, feel free to so, but keep in mind that the recommended way to bump is the cozy way, which is achieved by posting:
♦ pics of your adorable pets ♦ pics of your cozy gaming space ♦ pics of anything cozy or cute ♦ light-hearted memes ♦ links to relaxing music (make sure to check out our own cozy playlist ♫ too) ♦
One rule in this thread: good vibes only, so please let's make it comfy for everyone and keep the negativity to the minimum.
