I didn't win the same game twice but I am in the SG Magazine group and there's a 1 win rule until you submit a review, right, and this one day I won three games at once, so that was surprisingly sad 🤣

I went to make the giveaways in a short time.
When I created the second one with the same restrictions, same level, same start/end times, same description, I got a message saying it didn't create it for security reasons. And I had to make small changes.
Now why I made 3 separate ones and not one with 3 copies, I wanted to make a very-extra difficult puzzle that I had in mind.
In case the same member comes out twice as a winner, I will request a reroll and suggest him/her to get a lottery ticket.

IIRC I once read the following:
The ended giveaways are processed one by one. When you win one, a series of things happen: marking the game has having won in your list so you can't enter other gib for the same game even if you've not received it yet, putting your name in the winners list, and some other things including removing you from any other running giveaway for the same game you might have entered, refunding your points (even over the 400 points cap). So you can't win the same game twice at the same time, plus you also get all your spent points refunded.
Don't take this for granted, as I read it in my beginning times in SG, but if things haven't changed, I believe it's correct. If you make this question in General, sooner or later a moderator with more knowledge and better memory will clear any doubts.

I looked around on Steam today and discovered this title. It looks like a cozy game but with a deep meaning behind it. It is based on the homonymous book by Colin Thiele (Australian author new to me ^^).
I finally decided to buy and try it on Steam... but suddenly I changed my mind: I thought it would be much better to share it with all of you. And so I decided to do! ;)
I'll read the book (or watch the movie), instead :)

I think the game looks pretty good, but $30 seems pretty steep for an incomplete mobile port that you can get on the Google Play store that's complete for less than $5.

I agree. Maybe having voice acting for almost all of the characters kinda justify it but still it's much cheaper on Google Play, and it's not a perfect port either. I got this for -55% discount right before the prices went skyrocketed but I guess at least -67% discount would be better. Despite some game-breaking bugs it was still a nice game to play though.

For example on https://ibb.co/wYtmsP5 you can right-click the image and choose either "copy image link" and then just paste that link here or "open image in new tab" and copy & paste the link from the address bar of that tab.
Depending on browser and language, the wording might differ a little. And on some pages, this method is blocked intentionally to reduce image theft but most of the times it should work like that.

Yep, which is funny. Normally in Belgium Filou is used for a dog mostly (don't know if it's the same in France) but she was such a bad little kitten that it fit here perfectly (Filou in French means little rascal)

Seems to be an almost clone of my also long gone cat Ilargi (7 years ago).
Curiously, recently the siamese cat of a friend also passed away, and for some reason I never saw any pic of him. He was the same. There are many different siamese, but ours have such an uncanny resemblance.

Mine was a Siamese Chocolate according to the vet (I always thought that was so cute), but she wasn't a purebred because we found here abandoned in a parking lot with her brothers and sisters. They are very distinguishable from other Siamese right? She also didn't have that slender face.

The word "ilargi" means "moon" in euskara (local language). Coincidentally, in ancient Siam, these cats were called wichieen-maat, which means "moon diamond".
The "chocolate" name is not particular of any siamese variety. It's because depending on the purity of the cat regarding fur colour, they become darker sooner than other siameses as they get older. Mine at 2 months was almost white with clear brown in the usual parts. At 18yo she was dark brown with complete black mask and legs; slightly lighter tail with subtle but visible rings, curiously.
The slender siamese is the "modern" one. Yours and mine are "old style" siamese. They have the kind of body of a normal european cat. For some reason (rumours about the original breed going extinct during WWII but I can't find an actual realiable source for that affirmation) after the 50's breeders tried to get more slender siameses, with that particular triangular thin face of the modern siameses, because they thought they looked more "asian". And indeed many asian breeds are like that. But photographies from end of XIX century when the siamese became very popular in Europe show that indeed original siameses had european features both on body and face. What made them popular was that there was no cat in western countries with anything remotely close to the "seal mask" fur pattern. The modern and old style siameses are recognized as different breed by whatever world feline association is big, and they participate in different sections on contests.
After this, I want to have a cat again :cries: but I don't think I'll be able even on medium term. Maybe never again. Which is so sad.

Oh that's interesting, and that is very fitting in her case. When she was a kitten she was almost white with light grey ears and tail. But she darkened fast. Her colors were like on the photo at around age 2 I'm guessing.... It started with a brown patch on her upper thighs/back.

Another bit of siamese trivia:
The actual fur colour depends on how fast the skin loses heat. Both skin losing heat too fast, or being colder than the rest of the skin, makes it darker. So in areas which are either already hot, and spread more heat, or areas that don't have as much blood irrigation as the main body, get darker sooner. That's why the face, ears, legs and tails get black soon, while the rest of the body darkens slowly as they get older. Specially the belly tends to keep creamy/clear since they spend a lot of time over it, not losing heat. Siamese cats are one of the very few breeds which change colour through their life.
However for me the special thing about siamese cats is their personality. They're usually more smarter than other cats, and more... Shifty. E.g. My cat learned soon how to open doors. But she also learned that was much easier to moan and cry to get the door open, than to have to jump several times until the handle and jump momentum makes the door stay open. She also learned the spartan law: you don't get punished for breaking the rules, but for being caught doing it.
Damn I miss her so much. All her good and bad things, all her virtues and defects, she was the queen of the known universe.
Never say never, but right now I see no way, and that's so sad for me.

Wow thanks for the info JMM72. She loved to sunbath for sure. We had a big skylight in the kitchen and she was always laying on top of the kitchen cabinets. The first time she crawled up there, we were looking for her for hours, and she was just looking down on us without a noise, probably thinking how weird we were for calling her when she was clearly here already :D
We laughed that that was the reason she was so brown.

That's probably because the critics only played the first part of the game and never finished it as it was left pretty much unfinished by the devs, and the Steam reviews reflect that.
It's still worth playing though, for the atmosphere. I wouldn't call it cozy as it gets pretty dark but it definitely is a stylish point and click.

I played the demo for it during Next fest. It were certainly cute animations but the gameplay was a little bare-boned for my taste. Not much interaction with the animals and just picking up mail and delivering mail. From A to B. And some simple fetch quests. Maybe the full version has more dept to it and is much better now. And I need to give it another try. But I never got bored in a demo before. (And I love fetch quest games like Summer in Mara for example)

To be honest (at first) I just needed a place for my next gibs, as it so happened that I was in possession of some amount of keys for this particular type of games, but instead of going with just another one-time train I decided to make it an ongoing thread. for nowthe plan is to do GAs for this thread with games of the cozy kind on a somewhat regular basis.✽ Your giveaways of cozy games. Everyone is welcome to join me in making GAs for games that fit the theme. No strict guidelines, use your own discretion when deciding if the game is good for this thread. In general, fitting games usually have one or more of these tags on Steam: Relaxing / Family Friendly / Cozy / Wholesome / Cute / Comedy; and here are some tags that these games usually don't include: Violent / Gore / Survival / Psychological Horror / Hentai / Dark / War / Military / Dystopian (these are just some examples of some of the most popular tags). In any case, if a game seems cozy enough to you, feel free to give it away. Just make your GAs private (aka invite-only).
Special Cats tag exception: as a result of the FCDSCGC-2023 event, cats were proclaimed the mascot animal of our thread and thus any game that has a 'Cats' tag on Steam is allowed to be given away here, whether it's cozy or not.
