Do you use Augmented Steam?
I use it, not on my gaming laptop because it doesn't work on the browser I have installed on that one, but on my desktop, yes.
And when I say it doesn't work, it actually does but the options don't save for some reasons so I'm stuck with the default options so it's not really useful as is.
It adds great functionalities to Steam, some of which really should be native, imo.
On the other hand it also adds a lot of stuff I don't need that makes Steam move like a pregnant elephant, hence why the options are essentials for me.
On the whole it's very useful though, especially when it comes to evaluating new games and searching.

I use Firefox and it's not up to date, no. I can't update if for reasons lol (they have to do with updates and extensions I really need that I couldn't use under newer versions) so it's really fine.
As long as I can use it on my desktop, I'm golden. It's a great extension

Hmm, thought you indicated you were using FF62? If you are and are not having problems with your addons then for the most part you shouldnt have trouble upgrading to the latest versions of FF. It was 57 that dropped support for the old style (more powerful) addons. (I dont know when the ESR release for that period ended however.)
The first version of AS had some weird issues like not saving settings properly. If you're having that trouble you might need to manually go in and clear up the mod folder for ES and AS and then reinstall AS. Very rarely settings files can get corrupted in my experience.

I was wrong, it was FF 52. I shouldn't post about numbers when I have had less than 4 hours of sleep lol.
I'll also try to uninstall and reinstall AS. I think it's possible I had ES still, even though disabled so maybe that might have been an issue.
Anyway thanks for all the help

A quick look into the logic my brain utilizes:
Read the description;
Voted ''I still use the outdated Enhanced Steam'';
Realized what I read;
Uninstalled Enhanced Steam;
Installed Augmented Steam;
Changed my vote to ''Yes''.
All within 3 minutes of opening this discussion.
Feeling sharp today, yessireeee......

I very much like the cost comparison, and the market lowest price option is very cool. I've seen it has a quick sell option in the inventory but haven't teied it yet. I like how it highlights the games you own/wishlisted. Pretty useful add-on

I've been using the addon for a long time and wouldn't want to go without it. The feature I use the most is the bundle info but the DRM warnings etc are good to have too. There was only a short timespan when I had it disabled because it massively increased the loading time but since that's been fixed I'm a happy user again.

no, I don't use add-ons of any kind.. I'm ok with the normal Steam experience so far

Gives options to filter, remove from wishlist on the store page, link to past bundling of a game, HLTB data - imo it's close to essential. Steam works without it but it's... like getting used to your flat always being cold, especially in the mornings, then finding out that the landlord messed up the heating so your "it works, I got used to it" life turns into something actually pleasant.

I mainly refer to the historical low prices, link to steamdb, user profile links to SG/ST etc... I have been using ES/AS and the SteamDB extensions, along with some collection of userscripts, for so long I'm not sure which features are native to Steam anymore or come from which add-ons, honestly. :)

There is a bug that causes steam store pages to occasionally take 20-30 seconds to load, but its not related to Enhanced Steam or Augmented Steam as far as i can tell. Its a bad steam cookie. If you clear your Steam cookies when this happens, the problem goes away instantly. (Now it could have been caused by ES or AS in the past (~once a year), but the problem continued even when ES and AS were disabled. The only fix for me was to clear Steam store related cookies.)

That's funny. I've replaced the old ES with AS literally a few minutes ago. ES started bugging out a bit and changing the fonts in some random places, so I had to finally do that.
I'd have done it sooner, but I had no idea that there even was a successor to ES.
EDIT: Aaand it looks like the fonts are also bugged in AS, but it's supposedly getting fixed soon.

I don't use any kind of browser add-on for steam because I almost never browse steam through a browser. I only look around steam through the steam client itself.

Augmented Steam: The successor of Enhanced Steam
You may comment what you (dis)like about it and/or why you (don't) use it.
I'm mainly just curious!
