Im not sure if this is already included in any way but maybe its an idea to remove games from the bundles list after a couple of months.
Right now there are already alot of games on the list and some that haven't been in a bundle for a long time if u don't remove games from the list the list will keep expanding and eventually 90% of the games will be on there. I just think its kinda stupid that u only get 15% of the steam price towards your level progress if u buy the games for 100% and it hasn't been in a bundle for quite awhile. Also most keys are given away after a couple of months anyway. I hope u guys agree.

Look in the comments for my opinion!

I'm afraid that would just mean people will hoard bundle games to get more cv out of it, and the reason why I want it to stay that way is because you can't check how someone got their hands on the game.

Yeh true but removing them from a list after a year or something would maybe prevent this in one way i think nobody is gonna wait a year before they can get the full 100% instead of 15%

you think wrong - Metro 2033 was once removed from GA list alltogether because it was avaiable for free. It came back over a year later - and guess what happened? flood of Metro 2033 keys people hoarded for over a year.

Another example - look at trades section, there are many big bundle trade topics - and you will see many many people who have literally hundreds (some thousands - I personally know a guy who has spreadsheet with few thousand keys for over 1500 games) of games from bundles - dating from weeks old, through months old to even almost 2 years old.

I still have keys from HB Origin bundle which was released 2 years ago xD

Friends of my father wanted to get those super cheap games but they didn't know how to buy them, so it was "easier" for me to buy it for them and give keys to them. In the end they hadn't take keys and hadn't give me back my money D:

^^ So much this. People underestimate either from how long ago people will have unused keys or how some will hoard numerous keys from giveaways.

As others have said, you'd be VERY surprised.

Many of us have 100's of keys from all over the place, some dating back much further than a year. For instance, I bought HB bundles (and other bundles from other sites) long before I ever knew about SG, and still have unused keys for some of them.

Then people will save the gifts/keys for months/years.
I have a gift in my inventory since 2013.

There's no point to that other than CV farming, and protecting the community from abusive users is far more important than that.

Moreover, what's the problem with games being on the bundle list, and what's the benefit of removing them?

The only time games being on the bundle list is an issue, is when they're not listed in the bundle list for SG yet.

Once people are aware a game has been bundled, they can make decisions appropriately.

Ideally, all games would be scaled to their lowest sale price, to make things 'fair'.
As is, you're already getting extra CV from games that don't reach 95% off.
So really, nothing to complain about, neh?

and not every steam game that was on a sale was 85% or higher on sale, it would make more sense, when the steam game was on sale, you only get -x% of the full price, but in the end, i guess almost every game was on a sale already...

Like other people already said, this would be abused.

The best way would be to make a system where if you give out a gift instead of a key, you get full value even if the game was bundled before. GameMiner has a system where you send the gift to them and then the website will automatically send the gift to the winner. Steamgifts could include such system to make sure there is no way to abuse this.

But didn't valve lock down on those bots? And with the Escrow coming in, would that method still be feasible or efficient?

If you send the gift through e-mail rather than trade there should be no problems.

Not sure about it being blocked, but the escrow is for trading, not gifting, right?

GameMiner had their bots banned at one time - and the games they were storing got lost forever. Thousands of dollars worth of games lost. Now consider the fact that SG site and community is few times bigger than GM. Ban of SG bots would be nuch much worse thing.

to give you a little perspective - there are currently 350 GAs at GameMiner out of which 230 are gift GAs. Bot getting banned now would mean loss of 230 gifts. On SG at the other hand I can see myself 1500 GAs at the main page (30 pages, 50 GAs each). Now consider the fact I don't see region locked GAs on SG not for my region (and I do see them on GM), I don't see GAs for any of my over 2500 games on Steam (and I see these on GM), I don't see GAs for hundreds of groups I'm not a member of, I don't see hundreds of private GAs that are in puzzles, trains and events posted over the forum and so on and on. Oh - and a lot of GAs on GM are GAs for free keys - that boost number of GAs significantly - these games cannot be given on SG thou. So you can easilly assume that SG handles more than 10 times more GAs than GM does. If GM lost few thousand dollars worth of gifts is SG bot got banned it could lead to tens of thousand of dollars loss. Are you really willing to risk it?

I still have a key for Mirror's Edge, from the original Humble Origin Bundle. Do you think I should get $20 worth of CV for it when I only paid $1?

I think for Steam sales this might make sense after let's say 3 months.
