i was thinking the same thing, but even though I am not a massive fan, elder scrolls is pretty big in the PC community, it may just be able to survive as pay to play....... for more than a few years at least.

They actually wanted f2p to begin with, but the community voted for p2p for some reason, they loved wasting money monthly I guess.

Unless your game is called WoW it's really the other way around. The majority will just hold off until it's F2P because history has shown it will happen. No matter how much cash is thrown in (SWTOR). The result is that subscriptions maybe last for just over a year.

i know this game is bound to go f2p but im saying that it might last a little longer as p2p than games like tera and swotor

It might help if they released the game when it's ready. SWTOR was buggy as hell and many of the obvious features were missing at the launch, that's why many players (including me) didn't pay for a second month. I really hope they bring something new to the MMOs, not just another carbon copy of WoW with different graphics.

They could do what Guild Wars 2 did and have a one-time payment. I wouldn't mind that and would likely buy it.

I decided to stay away from betas as I tend to play them a lot, and when the full game releases I'm not bothered to start over

I don't know anything about betas, but do you really have to start over when the game launches?
Wow, and people are willing to do that?

Idk if it's like that with alll betas, but it was the case with Battlefield 3. I played the beta a lot, was like level 26 by the end of it, and when I got the full game I had to start over, which frankly meant that I only played the game for about 2 weeks before getting bored of tryna unlock things I already had...

It's common practice to have a wipe after the beta ends to prepare for release. This has been the case with every beta I've participated in. The beta is supposed to be in order to improve the game, find bugs, etc and stress the servers. Usually it ends up being a demo for most people, though.

signed up..Lets hope i still have a life after this game gets released :/

Just remember to report all the bugs, or they will ban you from all your Bethesda games, like EA does;P
And I will wait for F2P, like Lorkhan. Still havent even started The Old Republic, so no point in trying to play another MMO...

Hope it'll rock my tits off. Wow's getting a bit boring and repetitive. Star Wars The older republic was a disappointment, but to be honest I've never game it too much of my time. Time for something fresh and new. I hope Elder Scrolls Online will be IT.
Thanks for the heads-up dude
