I see no giveaway info on barter or any time of it being free on ITAD, google only finds a 100 copy random draw gleam giveaway which shouldn't have been enough to trigger 0CV status.

The only event I found that coincides with that date is this sweepstakes by Lenovo that had 25 winners. It's possible that Lenovo gave out additional copies elsewhere, for example, through their Twitch channel, but that's still an order of magnitude less than the 1000-copy threshold that normally triggers 0CV. So, I'm just as baffled as you by the decision.
Maybe an over-eager mod saw a burst of GAs, found out that the game was a freebie and made a snap judgement.

Sometimes modes give games zero CV status at random just because they want. Like Down in Bermuda was never given away for free for example but was set to 0 CV.

No interest whatsoever in Quarry or Dark Pictures, might play Hellslinger, but I couldn't get the hang of BPM, which seems like the same kind of game, Got SotI when they last bundled it, but could give to my brother so we could play together, I guess? Love Plague Inc., but Idk if Rebel Inc. sounds very fun... Juggler's Tale I'd play for a nice short game, And I can't decide if the others seem fun or not...

Not really, and their key might be region locked, although I doubt it (I have no info on that because there are only a few users affected). In theory, you could switch your Humble account region to China / Japan / Venezuela this month and come back to your original region next month (hopefully you can switch back after 30 days), but then you will get The Quarry and Metal: Hellsinger as region-locked to China / Japan / Venezuela (depending on what you pick) and you won't be able to redeem them.
But why would you want Dead Age 2 in the first place? It's much worse (in terms of value and rarity) than The Dark Pictures Anthology. It was given away even on Lootboy, it will probably be bundled again by Fanatical for $1 together with Dead Age, and it also drops from Mystery bundles.

I finished Dead Age 1 and even if the reviews aren't that great for 2, I am curious on how the devs continued the series. As for The Dark Pictures, I can't say it appeals to me too much.

It's likely not that the coupon was removed, it's that the coupon expired. You might have received the coupon 'this month' but given the dates and times involved ('yesterday' implies before the October monthly was formally released) it's very likely the coupon you were sent was meant for the September monthly, not the October one.

I paused the same day the october choice was released, and today I got the email and the $8 coupon. Never had to cancel, always got coupons pausing. My discount perk isn't cancelled either, when I resume. I think I'm at 17% discount on humble store, but not right now because I'm still paused.
EDIT: also, there was this one time where I DIDN'T get the email, but the coupon was available in the site. I used the coupon, resumed membership, and the email with the coupon came a few days later...

This is not the conversion bug for ex-classic subscribers. The emails are just showing the wrong amount in โฌ (as in: the same amount as it costs in $). If you're paying in โฌ and have the current coupon, just try to get to the last step before confirming the actual payment. You will see that they'll only charge you 6,50โฌ.
Paying $8 instead of $12 means 33.3% off. Paying 8โฌ instead of 10โฌ would only mean 20% off, so with 6,50โฌ / 35% off they've made it comparable. It seems they're trying to stay within 0.5 increments.
Last month, the $9 coupon meant 7,50โฌ, the $8 one meant 6,50โฌ and the $7 one meant 5,50โฌ. And if we get a $6 one, it will be 5โฌ.
If it was the ex-classic subscriber conversion bug, it would be 10โฌ - 4โฌ = 6โฌ because of $12 - $4 = $8.

1 question. I still have old subscription for 12$ - month and i recently realized they changed price well pretty much long ago and now new subscribers pay 10โฌ. Should I cancel old plan and resubscribe with new plan. I saw the only benefit with old plan is that you get charged in currency that you used to pay before plan changed, is that correct and should I change to new subscription plan? Thanks

You should definitely change to Choice. Classic doesn't have any benefits anymore unless you absolutely want to keep paying in $. Do yourself a favor and don't cancel and subscribe in two separate steps though. Change directly from Classic to Monthly Choice via this link:
