Can anyone explain to me how this works? I own Stellaris in Steam, but it still says there are no eligible games to connect. I had my steam account connect since the almost first days, and no game was added to GOG. If someone could link list of games that can be connected I'd much appreciate it.

It's a new game leaving early access. Definitely some clever marketing there. If someone buys it on Steam they will get the DRM-free version too. If I was inclined to get this game (which I'm not because I have some similar games) now would be a good time to buy it I guess.

Nice try Arcen Games, nice try.
We could play smart-ass too, by buying it on Steam, getting it on GOG, then refunding it 👀🙃

I think GOG reserves the right to remove your game if you don't have it on Steam anymore.
But still, it's not worth the hassle, it'll end up bundled anyway and it's not like a must have game, at least not for me. But it's funny to see such marketing strategies taking place.

Does anyone have a problem with the tool? For me it states that my profile and games are set to private and yet they are public.

If you do own any of the games listed below, this could be because your Steam profile and/or Game details are set to Private.
Don't you get this message? I mean if you use this account of yours on GOG Connect then you ought to get this error message as you don't own the game.

Yeah, I meant Steam. As soon as I dowloaded mine, it worked on GOG

Chart updated with 3 new games: Bad North: Jotunn Edition, Chasm and Hedon.
As usual, if a game isn't detected for you, wait at least 2 hours before clicking Refresh on the Connect page (and make sure your Steam privacy settings regarding game visibility are Public).
Also, it's always a good idea to do a Refresh on the Connect page occasionally (for example, once every few months), because then GOG saves a cache of your Steam games and when new games are added, they will be detected instantly without the need to do a scan of your Steam profile when a lot of other people are trying to do the same and traffic spikes.

Hmm, even with a refresh, GOG isn't detecting my copy of Chasm. I'll have to try that later, I guess.

It also isn't detecting Jotun from my library so it seems something is messed up

Whoops, yeah I confused Jotun: Valhalla Edition with Bad North: Jotunn Edition
Still not sure why Chasm wasn't detected initially but now it shows up so that's nice :]

It glitches sometimes. I would refresh after a while and it would fix itself. Same happened with Chasm, then got fixed after 1-2 "refresh".

On one hand, I really thank GOG for doing this, in the other hand, I have lost a lot of opportunities because I don't use it very much and didn't realise more games were ready to "connect".
So I have a small part of my Steam library on my GOG account, much smaller than what I could have had if I was always tuned to new CONNECT opportunities.
I sometimes wish they put all the games that have been available to connect to be connected in a simple click, that would be awesome, but I am afraid I am asking for too much...

Joining the GOG Connect group might help you then: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/gogcomco

Thank you, I just found it yesterday but I couldn't join via my smartphone app so I will try via steam client soon. Thank you very much!!

I and someone else on Reddit had problems yesterday getting Chasm, but today it clearly shows as available, so i was able to acquire it today!

So, the games I can connect, can I only connect games they show right at this moment and none of the games they had listed before?
As in, if I buy a game after it was on connect, do I never get chance again or as soon as a game is added, I can connect it whenever one day I get the game on Steam?

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!
They're only available for a limited time and you must own the game during the time it's available on GOG connect. There's always the possibility that they may repeat the offer for some games in the future, but I don't believe they've done so for any games yet.

Ah ok, thanks! That makes it a lot less interesting then, the idea is nice but if it's just temp per game there is always a chance you get a game after it ends and so miss out on a lot of games to connect which kind of breaks the whole idea if connecting your games in the first place, at least to me.

You only can connect games that are on the Connect page for the duration they are there. If you buy a game on Steam afterwards, you can't just add it to your GOG library and there's no guarantee it will show up on Connect again. However, sometimes they do. Hedon for example, was on offer about a month ago and it showed up again this week. It's more of an exception rather than a rule, though!

Nah, that sounds like a huge waste of money, I just want my Steam games also on GoG, am not wasting money on that, but as long as I can't have almost all games on GoG as well I won't use it anyway so high chance I won't ever use it. Was just surprised that is is a temp thing and not perm

Good Pr.
Thats the only thing i can think of.
The chance that someone buys a game on Steam because its on GoG Connect is slim, i think.
So this is just a Pr move.
OR if you want to look at it at a more positive way: They want to make you, as a customer happy, to get
the game Drm-free , because you already paid for the game and it SHOULD be yours to play and have as long as you want (and not
as long as a games service is available).
Either way: even if they don't gain great amounts of money, the don't loose any either.
So at the end, its good for us customers, so more Connect Titles are always welcome. :)

Yeah I guess it's mostly good pr indeed, gives them a nice + behind their name I guess for people that really care.
It's always nice to have the games on GoG as well in case something ever happens with Steam though I have so little through Connect now that I may be able to count them on 2 hands, because they almost never have games I own :P
Comment has been collapsed.
I already had 13-15 Games through connect(perhaps i should count those ^^).
Not much but it gets more with time and i like the possibility to get games i own on steam on GoG
just to have them Drm free.

This is huge news:
Introducing GOG Connect
GOG Connect
Important: You can connect only one Steam account with your GOG.com library. This process is permanent – choose wisely!
Important 2: If you own some of the games and Connect doesn't recognize them, press the Refresh button and wait a while (can be a few minutes, hours or even a day). The reason for this is that GOG is using the Steam API to scan your Steam library and the API has a limit on the number of calls it can make for a given period of time. If you're still having problems, refresh your GOG account (simply clicking the link is enough; this is different that the Refresh button on the GOG Connect page!).
Important 3: In case you are still getting the message "Due to exceedingly high demand this may take up to several days, please check back later. Thank you for your patience." after waiting a while and trying the account refresh link above, then it would be a good idea to contact GOG support. Many users have reported that their problem was fixed quickly after that.
I really hope more games are made available, because this could raise GOG's popularity significantly!
Edit on 29-April-2020:
Thanks to BrianFarnet: The GOG Connect Steam group is a useful way to get notified about future batches in your activity feed.
