With SOMA, SW2 and 2 new connect games have reached 176 games on GOG :)), this is steam all over again :D!

I expected you having more games on steam then me to do that :D

How often do they do a Connect? Its been a couple of months.

Maybe they figured that most people want to buy all the expansions when they try the game? Or maybe it is a glitch thanks to a free weekend on steam some time ago.
I also got the game without owning it on Steam.
Also note: there are two free DLC on GOG that you can add.

For me it fails to recognize it in my steam library :(

thanks, added stellaris and the two dlc to my gog account. i noticed i already had horizon signal on my steam account if i check the dlc tab of the game, and anniversary portraits is free on steam right now, so added that too.

They're free on Steam as well. The Anniversary Portraits can be pushed directly from the DLC's page, Horizon Signal I believe is a deprecated package, which you can get from SteamDB.

Chart updated.
If anyone is having trouble getting the site to recognize that you own the game on Steam, the standard procedure is to wait 2 hours and then hit the Refresh button on the page. It might not work the first time, but usually does after a few tries (worst case).

There are two permanently-free DLCs for Stellaris on GOG, so he's not lying. I've linked them in the OP and someone else has done the same in the comments on this page. He never said he got them from GOG Connect, you add them after you get the base game.

I am not lying. Read posts above, go to GOG store and get the 2 DLCs. You dont get the dlc via GOG connect. First get Stellaris via GOG connect and after the game is in your library go to the GOG Store search for Stellaris and add 2 DLC for 0$ and buy them. 🤐

The same two DLCs are free on Steam too, so why would he/she lie? One of them comes with the base game (i have it anyway) and doesn't appear to be listed, and the other is permanently free.

stellaris is not even listed as unavailable for me
"Update: We're terribly sorry, but due to technical issues with Steam library verification, we had to remove GOG Connect for Stellaris. We're investigating in order to resolve it and will try to bring you back this offer in the near future."

Does anyone else have a problem with this one? For me it doesn't show that it has a new game added. A few months back i contacted GOG to reset my Connect, but i guess its broken again.

If I recall correctly GOG doesn't have direct control over what is available for connect. It was the developers who decided if they wanted to participate.
Also I refer to https://steamcommunity.com/groups/gogcomco#announcements to see when games were available

Connect has always been a special 1 day-2 week promotion thing that comes and goes. They have to get agreements from the game license holders to do it. As I recall from vague recollection of how it works, they are only losing out on bandwidth cost. That would be because the game publisher/devs are agreeing to give the game free on gog without compensation beyond what they received from selling it to you already on steam. It's a win for gog.com since the bigger the game library there, the more likely someone is to use the service and buy something. Bandwidth hosting might not even be an issue if they host their own servers without data limits on the lines. Only doing it during sales and promotions increases the chance someone will buy something while limiting the number of people just using it for DRM-free copies without purchasing.

GOG Galaxy 2.0 would just combine all your client libraries into one for easy access. It wouldn't make your Steam/Uplay etc games suddenly become DRM-free, and I'm sure you'd still need to have GOG Galaxy 2.0 connected to the internet in order to run those DRM games run/update while in game to progress, and they'd still be just as difficult backing up.

Amid Evil and Dusk are supposed to be available with GOG Connect, but the later is not available on their site, yet.

I initially wanted to wait for the gog release of DUSK, but when I realized that I could just pick it up for 10 bucks at the Humble Store and connect it later on I just didn't want to wait any longer. While I enjoyed AE, the weapon selection feels a bit off: Not counting the superweapon, you basicly only need 3 weapons: the target seeking orbs for long range attacks, the rocket launcher for AoE damage and the Shard Gun for utiliy(recoil, enemies with shields) and DPS.

If you owned the game like I did, you had to start the download. This, for some odd reason, made GOG recognise that you had it.
But... people who didn't own the game were able to claim it without any bother at all. It was odd.

This is huge news:
Introducing GOG Connect
GOG Connect
Important: You can connect only one Steam account with your GOG.com library. This process is permanent – choose wisely!
Important 2: If you own some of the games and Connect doesn't recognize them, press the Refresh button and wait a while (can be a few minutes, hours or even a day). The reason for this is that GOG is using the Steam API to scan your Steam library and the API has a limit on the number of calls it can make for a given period of time. If you're still having problems, refresh your GOG account (simply clicking the link is enough; this is different that the Refresh button on the GOG Connect page!).
Important 3: In case you are still getting the message "Due to exceedingly high demand this may take up to several days, please check back later. Thank you for your patience." after waiting a while and trying the account refresh link above, then it would be a good idea to contact GOG support. Many users have reported that their problem was fixed quickly after that.
I really hope more games are made available, because this could raise GOG's popularity significantly!
Edit on 29-April-2020:
Thanks to BrianFarnet: The GOG Connect Steam group is a useful way to get notified about future batches in your activity feed.
