Can't sync steam account

Been away for a week, now I get this error when trying to sync "Please switch to a public Steam profile before attempting to sync. This can be done by updating your Steam privacy settings as seen below."

My steam account has already been public.

help pls

It's not just your account. Steam has probably changed the api code again, so it's going to take a bit for sites like sg to adjust things on their end.

I tried to sync now, and I've also added a game to my wishlist so it had something to sync. First attempt failed, second one synced fine.
