Being a Bowie fan this probably been a repeat, as to Lou Reed - Take a walk on the wildside and Harry Nilssons Jump into the Fire those basslines been played and created by Herbie Flowers who recently passed away, yep that was the same person. RIP.

Curiously, I consider it one of Bowie's most personal songs (talking about Ashes to Ashes, not about Major Tom), but I prefer the Tears For Fears version. Orzabal nails it somehow.
