Medal of honor 2010 ( that ending..) , Max Payne 2

LoL, you got the Roman dying ending? THAT'S AWESOME!!!!! Roman's a douche-bag cunt. One of the most unlikable characters in that game. I would have been glad if he had died. I got the Kate dying final mission scenario. That sucked much more. Especially knowing that it happened when I actually did the right thing: refusing to do business with Dmitri and giving him what he deserved: a rocket propelled grenade to the face.

The Max Payne series. First two games were extremely depressing, and even though Max is a fictional character there was no way to help feel sorry for him. They really told the story of a man to whom life was not kind, constantly knocking him down and kicking him mercilessly while still on the ground. The third game was a little less depressing because of the setting, but it overcompensated with sheer brutal difficulty. It is one of the hardest and most unforgiving shooters I've ever played in my life(keep in mind that the previous 2 games weren't exactly a walk in the park either) and it just made me want to bang my head against the wall and cry out of the frustration of seeing the dying scenes over and over and over again. When I finally finished it, I was like Hiro Nakamura from Heroes when he first managed to use his powers: "Yataaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!".
Another game that made me want to cry, although from different reasons, is Spec Ops The Line. God, what a dark, sick, twisted, perverted, demented journey into hell that game is. Seeing capt. Walker turn from a good man trying to do his best into a god damn homicidal monster is just heartbreaking.
Then there are games that make me feel emotional because of the feeling derived by the look of the game environment. Top of the list in this category are the Bioshock, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., F.E.A.R(just the first one, cause the rest...eugh), Half Life and Metro series.
Also, to a lesser degree, Grand Theft Auto IV gets pretty emotional at the end, especially if(spoiler alert), the way it happened in my game, Kate dies.
On the polar opposite, the game that tried to convey a lot of emotions of dread, but really couldn't make me by any chance give a fuck about the situations in it was Dishonored. I just steam-rolled through the game like an unstoppable murdering psychopath(even while playing non-lethal, because even then I still choked people from behind), without once stopping to think about what it is I'm supposed to be fighting for. The fact that the Loyalists' betrayal was painfully obvious from the start and that I didn't give a shit about any of the characters, especially not about Emily, didn't help either. Still a good game thanks to it's very solid and fun game-play, but it could have been much better with to some improvements in the storytelling, the facial expressions of the character models and the semi-robotic(yet still competent) voice acting.
