Instead of calling it awful.
You could give me some feedback and I will consider it.

i'm not a designer. when i create websites, i usually use templates but even if this is some sort of template, it is seriously bad. i can see wix in loading, you can do better with wix.
and 5 seconds to load 3 small articles? why? and as ormax3 pointed out, there's too many requests to random resources (adblock blocks few, noscript doesn't let through rest) but amount of requests is way too much for some small website

You didn't post looking for feedback though, you posted looking for ad revenue and traffic.

By all that is unholy! That is one of the biggest disastrous messes I have ever seen! That background is enough to make one nauseous! At least use some eye pleasing colors. And actually use a format or a template!
I think I need to wash my eyes with some boat cleaner to get that image out of them.

Don't let the negativity get to you.
My advice would be: less is more. I know its tempting to use all options but choose one color scheme and fonts. It'll make it easier for the reader to concentrate on the content.
And if you wanna use different backgroundpictures desaturate them or go straight for black/white.
A good way is to look a sites you like and sites that are successful and see how they do it.
Last but not least; good luck & stay healthy!
edit: there are a lot of template sites out there to browse. You don't need to use them but they can give you a good idea on how to set up a clean design

Well if you want feedback, a feedback for me is to either change the background or change the color of the font because it's hard to see the words. Maybe put something more contrasting like complimentary colors (purple + yellow/blue + orange/green + red).
Number 2, your layout looks a little buggy. I'm not sure if you coded the site yourself or what coding language did you use (is it HTML+CSS+JS? Or is it Bootstrap?) but you should check the codes because your layout looks pretty off imo.
That's all I could point out atm. Otherwise yeah... You probably should change the design a bit or redesign it from scratch? ^^;;
EDIT: I agree with Caliko's suggestion as well, less is more :)

Feedback is welcome
Setting the design aside (to each their own I guess), I would really consider changing whatever blogging framework you're using; the site is really bloated and noticeably slow to load... When I checked the browser network tab, over 100 requests are being made, that's not counting the ones that didn't make it past my ad-blocker, that's crazy for a simple blog-like site!
Consider using a static site generators instead, there are many to choose from with hundreds of templates to pick from. They usually generate well optimized pages with bundled and packed assets.

Hi supersven1234. Congrats on getting your site up. Sorry about all the rude responses.
If I may make a few suggestions, try change the purple text to white or black (not many colours look good over a teal background) and get rid of the "Bodoni" font you use in headings. Some kind of Sans-Serif would more legible, even the browser default Sans-Serif font-family. The one you're currently using is too heavily-stylised, and looks like it's designed to prevent readers from automatically reading the text so that they can focus on visual elements, which is sort of the opposite of what you need on your site. So change purple text to white or black, then change those Bodoni fonts to Sans-Serif, and your site will look much better for very little effort.
For a bit more improvement I'd suggest going to the element where you put the background image and adding the style rule "background-attachment: fixed;". There's no consensus on whether fixed or scrolling background is better, but this is a quick way to prevent your current problem of the background being stretched way too much in order to cover all the content. Also change the styling on the element you named SITE_BACKGROUND so that the width and height are 100% otherwise you get a white bar on the site when people view it on very wide monitors.
Hope that helps.

yes! the world needs another game reviewer, in a time where you can watch game play through 500 streams and 1000 videos.

I'm sorry, but the website does look awful 😱
My main problems are the unnecessary space above the "Forum" and "Blog" buttons, looks like there was supposed to be a header that's either missing or not loaded. The website has some white space all the way on the right side (off-screen by default, but the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the window shows it can be scrolled to reveal that white space). The poll's position is honestly laughable (this might be what creates the unwanted white space).
The colors clash together, the red buttons fight for attention with the purple title, which doesn't look very good on the darkish blue background (one possible solution for this would be to make the background more faded). There are also some grammatical... not really errors, but... oddities? The title should read "Welcome to Gaming Reviews" (plural), the word "giveway" shouldn't be written as two separare words ("give away") and there is absolutely no reason to use an exlamation mark in your poll question. When you ask a question, you end it with a simple "?", that's more than enough, believe me ;D
Edit: the pages containing the actual articles look much better. Make your homepage look like that as well - you don't need that much empty space on top. Your choice of background for those pages is much better as well, goes well with both the red buttons and the purpose of the website.

The site is a little heavy on fonts. You have about 4,500 lines of CSS embedded on each page trying to load 544 fonts. You might want to try to reduce that number so it's closer to 1.

Firstly, change the title color to something more visible and brightly lit (but not neon as it will burn my eyes), white would be great. Change/delete the water background to a solid color. Fix the polls and advertisements so that it all fits on the screen without needing to scroll sideways. And as cg said above ^. The font can just be a common one like Arial or Calibri as it is very easy to read.
REMEMBER: Keep it simple (think 'less is more'), don't make or try to do so much at a time, try to nail the basics like getting your site layout fixed before you work on something beyond that. Most of the stuff I mentioned above are mostly already mentioned by other people up there aswell so you might really want to look into it. Free website builders also exists btw:
This message was made possible by Squarespace. And oh boi, your first website sure is a big disaster, but you know what else is a big disaster? Yo- Trying to create your own website. HTML, CSS, PHP, DIC, FUC, ASS, CMS, who has time for that? That's why you need Squarespace. Squarespace is the easy way to create your very own professional website using simple drag and drop actions, no matter if you're trying to open a digital storefront or finally starting that travel blog you were always talking about but no one cared. If you want to give Squarespace a try, what's best is that you can get 10% off your first order by using the code "my eyes are burning" right now over at squarespace.com/my-eyes-are-burning.
(I am just joking about the last part btw)

i´m sorry, but this is the worst made webpage i have ever seen...
it dont need to look perfect, but you should at least take a look at your own page and look if you can read everything or if you miss something...
https://i.imgur.com/34qVLVS.jpg this is a screenshot of the forum
take a look at this for example: the background has almost the same colour as the forum it self, so its almost invisible. and the topics are not existing. it even looks like you have to register to take a look into your forum. thats stupid. we dont need your forum, so you should make your website interesting for others before you force them to register at your page.
at the current state it just looks like you want to make money with advertisement and with our mailadresses. with maybe 10 minutes spent in creating this website.
Comment has been collapsed.
so after another 15 minutes spending on your site, its now the way you want to present it? maybe you want to take more time?
sry, but pls take your time to think about your project, what you want to achieve, why we would use your page and how you can improve it.

Ok, the new design is much better imho albeit maybe a little too generic but just keep working on it.
But (and it's a big big BUT!) you're site as of now is not conforming with the EUs GDPR and with you being from NL that's a big no no.
You need to clearly state what data you collect & how it's used; shared etc.
That starts with simple cookies but since you actually want ppl to enter their e-mail I highly recommend you add a disclaimer asap!
You can read up on it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Data_Protection_Regulation
Disclaimer templates free to use are available in different languages; simply do a google search.
That goes especially and double and tripple since it seems you're trying to monetize your project ie Paypal Donations and what seems to be the idea to, at some point, sell tickets for giveaways which will come with a whole heap of new problems, regulations and licenses since it's literally a lottery. I would strongly advice you against it if that was indeed your idea.
Long story short; it seems to me that you're rushing into this. My advice would be to take the site down for now. Come up with a concept of what you actually want to do with it then figure out and read up on what you need to do so and then publish it.
